nixon was a centrist,or even slightly left of center on many issues,but since he was such a hardcore anti communist the democratic/communist establishment hated him & worked tirelessly to get rid of him–

the more I read about Nixon the more I am convinced that he was a victim of a soft coup. Same as what they are trying to do to Trump now… Nixon was convicted of a process crime. Yeah it probably wasn’t a good idea to break into that hotel but those plumbers had likely gone rogue. And he was presented the tab from the bar after the fact. What Obama did was an order of magnitude worse.
There is hardly word even now spoken against him for what he did.
His legacy of hope and change, while hanging yet from a thread, still hangs all the same.
Nixon on the other hand is to be forever pillared as a crook.
He wasn’t a crook. At least he was, no more and no less, than anyone else who sat in that office..
Nixon was never convicted of anything. Legal scholars contend he could not have been convicted of anything were he impeached and then tried in the Senate.
Apparently there used to be some curious thing called “honor.” People in a bygone era felt this “honor” thing was important. Filth like the Clintons and Obozos may have heard of it yet ignored it. So too all the RINO backstabbing scum. While some pretend thee is no moral imperative, history will nonetheless some day say our fall involved degradation of honor and morality. Like Rome, birth control, abortion and alien incursion will also play a big part.
The list of American heroes of the 50’s and 60’s must include Robert Welch.
They should also take down the statue of LBJ.
