Late on Thursday, the New Mexico House voted to legalize recreational marijuana, paving the way for it to become 11th state (along with D.C.) to give the recreational version of the drug the green light. New Mexico will join Alaska, California, Colorado, D.C., Maine, Massachussetts, Michigan, Nevada, Oregon, Vermont and Washington in legalizing the green stuff for recreation. In terms of consumption, California has a massive market for recreational marijuana, larger than Colorado, Washington, Oregon and Alaska combined.

Invest in the companies that make the antipsychotic drugs needed by those who smoked too much of the high-THC stuff.

The feds need to take Marijuana off being a class 1 drug. CBD oil sales are very high and there is research to replace opioids with something Marijuana based. the government is getting in the way.

Agreed. BTW, Gonzalez v Raich, which upheld the federal prohibition of marijuana, was a shit decision, with Scalia ruling in favor of the abuse of the Commerce Clause – probably just because he didn’t like marijuana. Thomas’ dissent adhered to principle. His intellect is underestimated. Comparing him to Breyer, it would seem that how much the Justices talk during oral arguments is inversely related to their smarts.

You either own and control your own body, and can do with it what you wish (short of harming another or their property), or you are simply the property of another/the state….ie-a slave. There should be NO laws against ANY drug, any intoxicant of any kind, any sexual act, any sexual act for money, any form of gambling, or any other consensual act that involves one or an infinite number of individuals…..PERIOD.

But all involved, must take personal responsibility for their actions….as they ALWAYS SHOULD.

The ONLY laws that should exist should be with regards to fraud or force as it pertains to any and all of the above.

1 Corinthians 6:12 KJB… “All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but I will not be brought under the power of any.”

1 Corinthians 10:23 KJB… “All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.”

Common sense. Children must be told what to and not to do. Adults?

My point is not to present a value judgement, simply to present the morality of self-ownership over the immorality of government tyranny.

I am in agreement with you. How does one speak of morality without value judgements however? Perhaps I’m missing something…?

I’ve had success with CBD oil helping with anxiety, I’m not a fan of getting high on pot but I still love me a bourbon high every night.

We got my father a medical card and administer edibles to my father who suffers from Alzheimer’s. It took a couple of weeks narrowing down cut sizes before we/he settled in.
Prior to his snacks dad would start packing his stuff around 4:00am and then begin pounding on his bedroom door, he was able to get out of the house once and would be standing at the door on my visit demanding, “…….to get me the fuck out of here.” A couple of times he made the motion of striking out at my sister.
He was turning very angry again and his doctor said there was nothing he could do or prescribe, unless we took him into the ER, then they would have them prescribe something to help.
Uh….doc, confused here……. You can’t prescribe anything, unless we take him to the ER then you can? Fuck off.
We had him on three 1/2 snacks a day, after three weeks we’re down to 1/4 of an edible once at bedtime now.
He’s calm and partaking in the varied activities.

My sister has surpassed her doctors life expectancy limit by 10 years in her fight with cancer. Between radiation and chemo, her body is almost destroyed, two years ago she slipped on the stairs and broke her pelvis in multiple locations because her bones are so brittle from treatments.
Presently she is beyond conventional treatments, was kicked off a new treatment because her numbers were so bad the experts thought her spot should be given to someone with better numbers so she was lucky to be included on an experimental chemical treatment and also trying the Rick Simpson Oil, she also uses the CBD oil to help with anxiety, nausea and other side effects for her treatments.

If cannabis can help people medically lets keep exploring that.
