QUOTES OF THE DAY

“Even if the absence of government really did mean anarchy in a negative, disorderly sense – which is far from being the case – even then, no anarchical disorder could be worse than the position to which government has led humanity.”

Leo Tolstoy

“You don’t have a right to a house, you don’t have a right to a job, you don’t have a right to medical care.”

Ron Paul

“The public good is promoted best by people pursuing their own private interests. This bothers some people because they’re more concerned with motives than with results.”

Walter E. Williams

“Observe good faith and justice toward all nations. Cultivate peace and harmony with all.”

George Washington

It is my sincere desire to provide readers of this site with the best unbiased information available, and a forum where it can be discussed openly, as our Founders intended. But it is not easy nor inexpensive to do so, especially when those who wish to prevent us from making the truth known, attack us without mercy on all fronts on a daily basis. So each time you visit the site, I would ask that you consider the value that you receive and have received from The Burning Platform and the community of which you are a vital part. I can't do it all alone, and I need your help and support to keep it alive. Please consider contributing an amount commensurate to the value that you receive from this site and community, or even by becoming a sustaining supporter through periodic contributions. Walter E. Williams

Self-interest inspires a man to get up and use equal opportunity to feed his family.

Equal outcomes for all inspires that same man to roll over and sleep until lunchtime, when the slop is served.

I just made those two up but I think they make sense. Correct me, PLEASE, if I’m wrong.
