In the wake of multiple mass shootings over the weekend, President Trump told reporters in Morristown Airport before departing for the White House on Sunday that “hate has no place in our country and we’re going to take care of it.”
As The Hill reports, Congressional Democrats, 2020 presidential candidates and others have rushed to draw comparisons between the motives of the El Paso shooter and Trump’s immigration rhetoric and suggested he helped fuel the environment that led to the attack.
Notably, however, even Trump nemesis, former FBI Director, Jim Comey admitted in his latest op-ed (albeit in the 20th paragraph) that:
“according to a ‘manifesto’ widely attributed to him, the Texas terrorist who killed at least 20 people in El Paso on Saturday wasn’t directly motivated by Donald Trump…”
But, the president ignored shouted questions about whether the El Paso shooter’s anti-immigrant manifesto shared similarities with his rhetoric and said the shootings are part of “a mental illness problem.”
The president then added that he had spoken to Attorney General William Barr, FBI Director Christopher Wray, the Ohio and Texas governors as well as members of Congress.
“We have to get it stopped,” he said.
“This has been going on for years, for years and years in our country.”
He added that “perhaps” more needs to be done with respect to gun control.

The best way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a firearm who has the will to use it.
Changes in “immunity” laws are needed. Concealed weapons permit holders should be covered under the same immunity from prosecution laws that police officers and other public officials enjoy.
An armed citizen should be able to defend his own life and the life of others, but without changes in immunity laws, concealed weapons permit holders are rightfully reluctant to act.
Even the present “stand your ground” concept is not enough, as prosecutors still can and do go after those non-police citizens who “feared for their lives”.
What I would like to see is CPL holders have the SAME immunity that police and prosecutor have.
THAT, in itself, would level the “playing field”, and would work, putting those who would do harm on notice that there are armed citizens who WILL “stop the threat”. Look for prosecutors and police to oppose such a move…but one can hope…

First, Trump (drop the Cheeto BS, get enough of that from libs) must distance himself from the media narrative, “if you hate illegals, you will kill people.” If he caves, he will permanently be labeled a white supremacist. So in that way, he must stand with the second amendment and not be drawn in to the media’s trap.
The second problem is, if the killings are a manufactured act by the deep state, the killings will continue until their agenda is implemented. To try to stop the carnage by treating it without addressing the root cause of why it’s happening will just mean the elite will keep producing human drones to do their bidding, until their goals are achieved.
Bottom line is, the president is always full of surprises and this event will be no different. But to be sure, if the media are successful in getting the public to agree that every gun owner is a potential threat, it won’t be long before the authorities are knocking at our door with a list of hardware they intend to confiscate. I hope the president realizes this, but I also have a deeper fear that maybe he has been part of the globalist plan from the beginning. Time will tell.
Now, admittedly, this may be premature commentation… but…. so far… It appears Trump may be deflecting by offering the gun confiscators lip service and reverting blame back onto the hot-air media:

He always seems to dangle big carrots in the immediate aftermath of these mass shootings (i.e. “something must be done, and we’re going to take care of it!“) and, then, later, offers up more talk, minor concessions (background checks), and blame deflection (mental illness, media); and to the apparent frustration of gun grabbers every where.
Also, another observation: It seems today’s headlines have already moved on from the shootings – at least more than one would expect in the wake of these latest violent attacks in such rapid succession.
Of course, it may just be the calm before the storm. Or it could be the nation has simply become inured to these events.
Certainly the Democratic presidential candidates will milk these killings for all they are worth and the timing could not have been any better for them given their lackluster performances in their latest primary debates.

President Donald Trump did NOT say he will push for gun control. He did say he’s open to ideas that would “actually work.” And he also condemned “white supremacy,” although nothing was said about the Ohio shooter being a pro-Satan leftist/supporter of Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Antifa, and communism.
The garlic festival shooter was part Iranian and tied to both Islam and white supremacy. The El Paso and Ohio shooters were, allegedly, right wing and left wing extremists, respectively. And the El Paso shooter’s manifesto was remarkably psychologically balanced – at least as far as manifestos are concerned.
Therefore, let’s say the shooters all cancel themselves out ideologically. What does that leave? Or, rather, what commonalities remain between these latest three incidences?
