Mygirl – That entire episode was your fault. Your comments about being attacked are disingenuous at best. You libelled me beyond all reason. And you then have the gall to say I attacked you? Seriously, you need to let that shit go. I put it behind me, but have not forgotten what you said about me, which prompted the entire 24 hour episode.

If you think you can compare a person to Hitler/Nazis, totally unprovoked, and that there will be no repercussions on TBP, then you have seriously misread this place.

What happened between us is not what has happened with HR. Our episode was one day long. Asmin did not ask it too stop. Stuck did not ask me to stop. Etc.

Suggesting I would in any way be capable of such actions was despicable, and was unprovoked with respect to the conversation that was happening. Further, I was very specific, time and again, as to exactly why I was pursuing you. You could have at any time retracted that.

You stated that you tried nicely to get to HR, to get him to stop. You chastised him for doing exactly what you did to me. Did that escape your notice? He did what you did and was punished. Your excuse for your actions was that I called you a nazi and compared you to Hitler, but you never ever made mention of the context and that you took my words out of context and used that as a pretext to attack me because I had the audacity to question you. Your ego is immense.

You behaved exactly like HR has behaved and you censure him for doing exactly what you did. It lasted longer than 24 hrs. and your attempts to trivialize your actions while threatening me is remarkable. This is hypocrisy. You can do what you censure HR for doing. Are you making excuses for yourself, stating that your reasons for you actions made you better than Rob? His reasons for his bad behaviour was wrong but your rational was correct because….your status?

You were referenced because of your censure of HR, and because of all the people who comment on this blog you have been the ONLY one to call me cunt and other filthy names. You and you alone. Mygirl – there is a substantial difference between being called a name, and having your reputation impugned, say by being called a pedophile, or that you would support human experiments.

Maybe my interpretation of what was said is different than your intent. But I took it how I took it, especially given the accompanying picture.

My experience is that if someone thinks I have said such and such, that is more important than what I think I said. I tend to stand by not what I think I said, but by what they think I said. Because that is how I build and defend my reputation.

I give people the benefit of the doubt that they are being honest – I stand by what they think I said.

I have explained what I think youmsaid, and I can point to the post where you said it. From my perspective it is vastly worse than anything I have ever said to you. Especially coming from someone who did not know me well at the time.

When you said that you imagine I would support experiments on humans, and supported that with a picture of Hitler and crew, that is a step too far in my opinion.

Monsanto has it’s own history of evil and now it’s compounded with Bayer’s history which is added to IG Farben et al. . Hitler promoted IG Farben and I said that when you defend a company like Monsanto you defend a company like IG Farben because of the history behind and current in the companies and that’s a fact. A FACT, AN HISTORICAL FACT. Bayer and Monsanto and IG Farben, there are those pesky connections.

Sorry that I offended you when I said you defend an evil company who’s history included companies supported by Hitler, but, well, there you have it. Would you like to examine Monsanto’s sordid history? No? Tsk. Mygirl – ok, let us discuss this civilly.

First, you mistake me for someone who defends Monsanto. That was a mistake. What I did was step in when the accusations levelled against Monsanto were untrue. There are a great many accusations that can be made that are indeed true, but some of the ones being made simply were not. I do not believe in creating false narrative. If you want to crucify Monsanto, be my guest, as there is plenty of factual timber upon which to do so.

For instance, the claim was made that Monsanto prosecutes people if windblown Monsanto seeds (pollen) hit their fields. They have never done this – not once.

What they did do is prosecute a farmer who collected seed from along a fenceline adjacent to a Monsanto field, planted the seed, then sprayed the field with herbicide so all that was left was pure Monsanto seed, then harvested and planted that seed, so as to have 100% pure Monsanto seed. That is… unusual, and there is certainly an argument to be made that a legal case against the farmer can be made, and was made.

But the claim that Monsanto prosecutes for windblown seed or pollen is simply untrue. It has never happened. Not once.

You took this as me defending Monsanto. I was simply refereeing. If we are going to talk about Monsanto, we need to use the truth. Not false narrative. I believe in using the truth.

You then ramped this up, in my opinion at least, with the Farber stuff and saying that you imagine (ie believe) I would have defended them, and you added a picture for emphasis. That wa, again in my opinion, extraordinary, because I never said I was a fan of Monsanto, but I did correct the fake news re them prosecuting for windblown pollen.

I in fact appreciate how bad is Monsanto, and I have no problem with that story being told. But it is important, again in my opinion, that facts rule these things. If we say Monsanto did x,y, or z, it is important it be true.

And so I was greatly offended by what was said, perhaps moreso than at any other time on TBP. The idea that you would believe, and say so openly, that I would defend a company that performed human experiments, supplemented by a picture of Nazis and Hitler, offended me greatly, because at no point did I ever say I was a fan of Monsanto, and I especially would never support what Faber did.

And I went ballistic.

And you, by mentioning me in the above, opened old wounds. I have buried the hatchet with you, and have not attacked you hence. To mention me negatively, given our history, is, again in my opinion, ill advised.

But as mentioned, I have no intention of a repeat performance. I was offended by that one thing, but in general am not easily offended.

For instance, the racist “Red Ass” comment from nkit did not offend me, but it is really uncalled for, in my opinion, as I did not attack him, in fact voiced appreciation for what he does. His response to that was unusual, I would say.

Llpoh, thank you for this measured response. Hence forth I shall endeavor to reply in kind. My purpose in all of this was to point out how HR was banned for behaviour that others get away with.

I am glad she stuck around, too.

But she still has little understanding of this place.

And big dogs, such as they are, have in fact earned special consideration, if it should ever come to that. After ten years of steady contribution, unwavering support, posting of articles, defending the site, maybe she will earn special consideration, too, if ever needed. That is how life works. You get credits that accumulate for deeds done. It is called loyalty, amongst other things.
