Friedrich Hayek

“Formerly we suffered from crimes; now we suffer from laws.”

WOW! The Tolstoy quote blows me away. That’s exactly what I believe. And all we have to do to get there is to convince enough people to stop voting for their own destruction. Why is that so hard?

Because people still incorrectly think that they are voting for the opposite. And they are only allowed to hear from the two political parties that are conspiring to destroy them.

Yes, I’m sure that’s true. It also assuages some deep psychological pull to ‘let your voices be heard’. It’s utter bullshit of course but it gets people I know in R.I. and MASS to vote repo time after time. And these are not stupid people.

And Tolstoy died in 1910, well before horrible, evil, Progressive, totalitarian governments really got rolling…..and he STILL had it 100% right on the money.
