Near as I can tell only the KJV uses the word ‘the’. The rest, including the NKJV – use ‘a’, implying that it is a quarter of the earth, or more likely a fourth of the people, and not a specific area.

We already seen that movie. When Katrina hit N’Awlins and the afro-dome filled with rapists and feces and all of them that take their ration from the guh’mint. The key is to be more than 100-150 miles away from the big shitties when the food runs out. Most of them will wait in place waiting for the free shit to resume.
