It was so long ago, I barely remember.
Eddie was part of it and he has not been on the show in 35 years.
They moved to Atlanta……no shit.
Great of Eddie to point out all the black moves to instantly shut down whitey…..despite being guilty as sin.
And yes, everyone wants to bitch about “gentrification.” Unfortunately they also want to bitch about how shitty their neighborhoods have become (pre-gentrification), how nobody wants to open a store in their neighborhoods, how much crime is in their neighborhoods, and on and on, but won’t acknowledge how “magically” all of those problems go away once white people move in and the blacks move out.
Somehow they think that you can separate the chicken and the egg in the discussion….but you can’t.
I’m torn. The skit was always funny with lots of truth. What I worry about is the normalization of treating whites the way he does and how to get away with crime. The low IQ dindus who watch this will only see confirmation in their choices.
Just like druggies and cheaters don’t see anything wrong in movies that glorify drug use and adultery. Pretty Woman is a rags to riches story, right? All a young girl has to do is meet the right Epstein with a heart of gold and she’s in luck.
Eddie and Chris Rock tell us but we will not hear.
Did I tell you I don’t like comedians? Eddie and Rock would top the list. I seriously cannot stand Chris Rock. The beef I have with Eddie did not prevent me from seeing his movies. They were good, most of them except for the 48 hours movies (and the Doc Doolittle remake). The premise of those was that a black person can make fools of overly-trusting white people.
Imagine if a conservative-based comedy show did the same skit but with a actor in blackface. Same truth, but it would be a rayciss abomination
