Time to learn the barter method. Can’t help you on all the other taxes: sales, property, sin, excise, fuel, phone………………..

I am retired and every penny I get, either from SS or my IRA is taxed. I worked hard for 50 years, saved for my future and I am sick and tired of those who refuse to work and completely rely on the givernment.

Yep, TN Patriot and I know you love double taxation as much as I do. If you are paying taxes on your SS, you are probably paying on 85% of what you receive. When you were working, your taxable income included what you were paying into SS. If there is any tax due now, it should only be on 50% of what you receive from SS, not 85%. That is accounting for the portion that was funded by your employer’s contribution to SS. So, the additional 35% is double taxation. Argh!

So, when you start drawing SS, you will be screwed even worse than those of us who were employed by someone else. You will be paying the full amount on this end and getting taxed on the full 85% on the other end. My condolences!!

The local sales tax,10% tax at the pumps 38 1/2 cents. it goes on and on. My tags are twice the amount this year because teachers needed more pay, even though they get off three months a year and make almost twice what I make on the average. I always enjoyed that my tags got cheaper each year. my auto Insurance went up also with no explanation.

Hah!
32% to the people running the show, and that doesn’t include:
-License and registration fees;
The payers are not getting their monies worth in services.
Then we add on:
-Insurances; Home, Car, Life, Disability, Health, Umbrella…
-Food and Fuel, both of which are taxed again at P.O.P.;
-Utilities;

And if you watch the idiot box, add in a steadily rising fee for cable and internet.

Of course Clothing is occasionally needed. Shoes, belts, and pants wear out or turn ratty looking after time.

And who doesn’t like to occasionally take a break, and take the hub or wifey out for a dinner, some suds, vino, or spirits, and maybe catch some form of entertainment?

Consumer Staples, too.

EVERYBODY WANTS MORE OF OUR MONEY!!!

Tithing 10% is a whole nother debate.

And lastly, we have the beggars, bums, and mooches.
-On the street corner, and late night TV is always appealing to the kind hearted souls…
-Shriners;
-St. Jude’s;
-The Humane Society;

Have you ever seen the one begging to help feed old Jewish ladies down on their luck in Russia, Poland, etc.?

They need to tap all the ambulance chaser ((lawyers)) for donations.
Or Media & Entertainment stars.
Or pro athletes. Or anybody else other than Joe Lunch Bucket.

One word answer: No.
Expanded:
“Struggling to make ends meet myself. Got an extra hundy for me? Hungry. Thx. God Bless.”

end of rant
And I didn’t even mention thieves.
But that’d be repeating myself.

Question.
If you did not hand over all of the money, or any of the money that is demanded and you knew for certain that you would not be caught, would you consider yourself a tax cheat?

Not if it were income taxes, since the system-so say our Overlords-is voluntary; you just stop volunteering.

Imagine if there were only an10% fed and 5% state sales tax on everything. It would encourage people to spend at their choice to spend. No real estate taxes etc. You really can live free owning your property. I would have a ton of extra money and I would surely safe a lot more but also spend a lot more. I would be much mire charitable as well. Would love to read some white papers that have dug into a national sales tax only to see ramifications.
