When everybody else is at negative rates, little better than nothing is apparently desirable for the flight to safety crowd. My utilities paradigm has been broken to the upside. I would for example buy Duke(DUK) in the 50’s or 60’s and sell when it got near 90. It’s a dividend play so I would follow the range up and down. Today it is over 100 which means the flight to safety crowd is willing to buy Utes in the 2-3% yield area. Same thing is going on with Southern Company (SO) and presumably all the other Utilities.
Be careful of SOs nuke test in December.
I’ll be standing at least 750 miles away at the time. LOL! That’s why I bought them. If they had the balls to build nukes they are either the craziest guys in the room or the smartest. Baquacil Oxidizer, found in pool supply stores is licensed to sell a 27% mix of hydrogen peroxide per gallon. About twenty bucks. (should the good folks here run out of clorox.)
