New Studies Raise The Coronavirus Threat Factor

The more we learn about the coronavirus, the more nefarious we realize it is.

Most public efforts to are focused on detecting those with symptoms, like a fever. But new research shows that the majority of covid-19 carriers (50%-75%) are asymptomatic. So you’re much more likely to get infected by someone who looks and feels fine.

To date, it looked like only the elderly and immunocompromised were at risk of serious complications. Well, that assumption is changing. European doctors are reporting a concerning number of younger, healthy people getting sick, too.

Similarly, it was assumed that the virus didn’t thrive in heat and humidity. Hopes in the northern hemisphere have been pinned on the nearing arrival of Spring. Well, new data shows that this may be false hope.

And as government response plans become clearer, the math shows that most of them will be too insufficient to “Flatten The Curve” much and prevent national health care systems from being overwhelmed.

Combined, most of what we’re learning now reinforces the conclusion that many, many people will become infected; the virus will be with us a long time; and the economic legacy will be massive and painful.

There is a drug combination which has been shown to cure illness caused by corana viruses, including the CoViD 19 illness. The cure is; Chloroquine and lopinavir/ritonavir. This drug combination is not approved for use in the U.S. because we have a government that loves us and decides what is best for us. If you disagree, then let your government know. https://petitions.whitehouse.gov/petition/empower-us-doctors-immediately-be-able-trial-combination-chloroquine-and-lopinavirritonavir-covid-19 See also Jack Spirko’s

There Appears to be a “Cure” Corona Virus, So Let’s Use It

The coronavirus panic is just that, an irrational panic, based on an unproven RNA test, that has never been connected to a virus. And which won’t be connected to a virus unless the virus is purified. Even when tests are administered that can detect a novel virus, the presence of a virus is not by itself proof that it is the cause of the severe symptoms that some people, but not all, who test positive experience. Finally, when it can be shown that the tests administered detect a virus, known to cause illness, we do not know what the rate of false positives is. Even a 1% false positive rate could produce 100,000 false positive results just in a city the size of Wuhan and could mean that a much large fraction of the positive test results are false positives.

“It is a dangerous notion that we need a government to protect us from ourselves.”

Then why are you posting irrational wonder drug cures here,
if it is an irrational panic in the first place??

This (Avigan) looks promising:

Chloroquine interacts with one of the anitviral medications – I can’t remember which one off the top of my head – and causes heart attacks, so I’d not experiment with it in combination with antivirals without knowing.

Chloroquine on its own showed some promise.

The above combination of antivirals (also marketed as Kaletra) just failed a clinical trial. That was without chloroquine.

Of course, if some of you brainless downvoters want to take both in combination, nobody will miss you.

Convenient. In the days of the Internet Age, we couldn’t get any accurate numbers for months. But now that the younger folks are about to get fucked in the ass again (2000, 2001, 2008, 2020, 12 years of ZIRP), suddenly it’s the worst thing since the Epic of Gilgamesh.

At least now Marty should know why Socrates was predicting a narrow Trump win. He can only win when running against the worst opponents the Democrats have ever fielded.

My big takeaway from this day’s report was that the extreme social distancing the world is experimenting with will result in a second wave of infections in the Fall unless they get a vaccine ready for release by then, which is highly unlikely.

I don’t know about anyone else, but my brother and I are having a hard time keeping our late silent gen parents (born 1945) in their house. They just won’t stop running their normal errands.

And here’s the topper – my dad’s older sister (79 years old) just showed up on my parent’s front doorstep in upstate NY without notice, “just to visit” after visiting with my uncle who lives in NJ. Granted, she is a VERY healthy 79 year-old who has been regularly making this trip every 6 months or so for years, but my brother literally had to run away from her because she would not stop trying to get a hug!

Sometimes you just can’t stop stupid.

Yep,
My 89 year old father and 71 year old cousin who are close buddies wouldn’t stop going out to eat together until they shut down the restaurants. Then, today they had a meeting with their CPA to do their taxes. I made the suggestion that they mail in their tax packets and assorted info and go over it with the CPA by phone. From the response I got you’d have thought I’d asked them to commit a murder.

Are you sure you’re not the stupid one? You certainly sound gullible. Did they ask you and your brother to run their lives.

When you get to a certain age you really don’t get too concerned about catching a disease that will kill you. Time is already doing that.

Seems like every week they increase the powers of this alleged virus. If I’m to believe the lates report, this monster can live on a countertop for nine days. I think the original was 2 hours. That’s an incremental increase of 222 hours. The virus itself has become so complex it can no longer be tested by a generic brown wrapper MD. The High Priest of discernment must take a sample into the inner temple of wisdom and sacrifice a bowl of Batsoup to the Demi-Gods of viruses to get an answer.

Flea, the only good thing about this fiasco and the damage it will levy on families and small businesses is that the military is mostly OCONUS and it would take years to get them all back home. So they won’t be controlling a goddamn thing once the depression kicks in and people realize they’ve been TARP 2’d.

Aoc.
I think they’ll use a different tactic. Once the lock down the big cities and by that I mean just controlling water, power and food deliveries they’ll go to work on us. No large frontal attacks, at least not by trained soldiers. They’ll cut off entry and exit points of a county or several counties and let those with only a week or two of food surrender. Fill in the blanks from there. We spent 8 years learning how in Nam. I watched from the roof of our compound as we flattened the entire city of Cholon. It looked worse than Hiroshima when we were done. Not one stick still upright. They quit attacking the VC in their terrain(that would be you) and went after their families. Once all the hamlets were destroyed or surrendered only attacks by the regular NVA were left to deal with. That was in the southern half. I’m not sure what happened up north. P.S.
I’m not trying to discourage resisting. I just think new methods are in order. Hide in plain sight so to speak.
