Update (2015ET):  Perhaps realizing that facing down a second great depression if the US economy is halted indefinitely as a result of the coronavirus pandemic would not improve his re-election chances, President Trump struck a defiant tone at Monday’s coronavirus press briefing when he said that the American economy can’t remain slowed for too long to fight the coronavirus, declaring that the country “was not built to be shut down.”

As a result, the president predicted that social distancing restrictions will be lifted “fairly soon” and that the U.S. has learned enough lessons to re-open the economy despite the ongoing pandemic.

“I’m not looking at months, I can tell you right now. We’re going to be opening up our country,” Trump said. “Can’t keep it closed for the next, you know, for years. This is going away.”

“America will again, and soon, be open for business. Very soon,” Trump said. “A lot sooner than three or four months.”

Following a Sunday night tweet by former Goldman CEO Lloyd Blankfein which said that “crushing the economy, jobs and morale is also a health issue-and beyond. Within a very few weeks let those with a lower risk to the disease return to work”…

It would seem the leftist run States are destroying their economy’s on purpose. Either to hurt Trump’s reelection chances, or for FED bailout dollars ?

Big Talk and all bull shit , I love the idiots exclaiming this coronavirus will pan out and dissipate or fizzle out soon and we in the US have some sort of magical control ready to pounce into place . One asshole told me it ain’t going to get him because he is super healthy another claims it’s all nonsense .
Meanwhile I see my daughter a critical care nurse working in frantic panic mode and afraid to wear her scrubs or shoes in our house !

Each person should be making their own decisions on how to cope with this issue. Listening to what others have to say may influence their decision making processes or not as they evaluate the content of any message. No one has the right to order businesses shut down or for people to do anything not in accordance with their own wishes.

The political class has no special knowledge and the medical community has produced enough contradictory information over the decades that their statements are, and should be, suspect given their track record.

The testing being done is finding what they are looking for and not finding what they are not looking for. Given the false positive and negative rates one can safely say the tests are unreliable. Coupled with the fact that everyone simply assumes that the virus is THE cause of this situation, almost no one is looking for anything else. The herd of doctors simply assumes that every cough coupled with an unreliable test means the virus did it.

This stampede to a single minded diagnosis without the necessary lab work that would include an electron microscope evaluation is simply not credible. This is a panic situation where bad decision are to be expected and that’s what we’re seeing.

No one is trying to find the right answer:
HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE ALREADY HAD IT, AND EITHER DIDN’T KNOW OR RECOVERED AND NEVER EVEN BOTHERED TO REPORT OR WORRY. If you were exposed and recovered, you should be able to go about your business
The reason this number is so important is because it gives us a better picture of the fatality rate and actual transmission numbers, and when it may have actually gotten here, which I personally think is a lot sooner than we were told.

We have already had 23,000-59,000 regular flu deaths. No one is freaking out about this.

I’ve read reports that put the US first case back in early November. As usual, the ‘professionals’ in the medical establishment didn’t do a proper job and wrote it off as something else. They do a minimum of testing and then use their godly powers to divine, without real evidence, what caused a fatality they were supposed to prevent.

When a ‘profession’ invents ailments like ‘nosocomial infections’ and ‘iatrogenic disease’, then one should rightly conclude that cover your ass is the first order of business.

My general dissatisfaction with medicine as practiced in the US and most other locales is that they take credit for what the immune system actually accomplished. They use equipment developed by engineers and then stand between what the machines reveal and our understanding of it. The lab tech can’t tell us what he discovered, he must pass his knowledge through the doctor so the doctor can profit and appear to be the genius he obviously isn’t.

A surgeon has a demonstrable skill. Your average MD does not and a huge part of their day to day activities is fraud masquerading as knowledge. Their entire aim is to see as many patients as possible in the shortest period of time and place as many checks in boxes on forms to reap the most income. Any benefit to the patient is of tertiary importance.

Maybe it’s no longer true but it was true yesterday, the Mexican president, Lopez Obrador refused to shut down the Mexican economy because many workers live by the day. He encouraged people to go out, enjoy themselves. Critics abound. We will see if Mexico turns into Italy. AMLO simply said that Mexicans are resilient and will make it through the contagion.

You saw a video about a couple of people stuffing a backpack and leaving the store without paying. It said, Meanwhile, in California.

James Woods has his following. I have disliked him since The Onion Field. He is actually a has-been with a recognizable name. I guess his shtick now is stirring the pot. There is no context to the video, no city, no store name. It just lets you imagine that this is going on all over California.
—————————
My wife called her sister who lives down below in LA. Since we live in the high desert of the Antelope Valley, we have adopted the nickname for LA that the old alfalfa farmers and sheep ranchers used. Her sister said it was raining hard there. My wife told her it had rained all night over here.

Of course, the newcomers since 2000 do not remember those old farmers except when they drive out to the remaining alfalfa and onion fields on the east side of both Lancaster and Palmdale.
——————————-
My wife didn’t go to church all week. So we decided to take a drive in the direction of Las Vegas. It’s pointless to drive to LA, people are driving around with little to do, you can’t eat anyplace or stop to use the bathroom. We headed up the old route 6 – Sierra Highway. I was talking about it being the main drag with all the old motels, tire shops and diners all fallen on hard times since the freeway opened in the late 70’s.

From Palmdale Blvd on up to Avenue I, Sierra Highway is nothing to write a song about. It is like a dry wood post sticking up out of the ground. Up in Rosamond, I pointed out a grocery store – that was an old Jonson’s market there. I remember those stores, she says, but they were bigger in LA. Today, there are a couple of black shoppers buying some beer.

Sierra ends somewhere between Rosamond and Mojave, I turn left and onto the freeway ramp. Mojave used to be a trucker haven at the corner where the old 58 and the 14 met but the new 58 highway killed Mojave in the early 2000’s. I drove past it on now street level 14, make a right o’blike as Maggie would say and drive a couple of miles up to the new 58.
——————————-
It used to be that most people headed to Vegas took the 10 east to the 15 and headed north to the fabled city. Now, I see a lot of traffic headed north on the 14 freeway to take this new freeway all the way to the 15. Except for the interruption in Mojave, they have this beautiful stretch of pavement all the way through, skipping the old detour in Kramer Junction and the old two lane road through Hinkley. I like this route better than the big climb on the 15 from Cajon pass all the way to Barstow.

We stopped at the new rest stop in Boron and enjoyed the fresh warm air there. We felt free from government control and blaring media urging us to wash our hands. I took several pictures of the Salvy Queen with the bluest of skies in the background. The sky up here and in Barstow can change from turquoise to the most exquisite blue stretching all the way to the horizon, highlighted by white clouds that can change to pink or magenta with the setting sun.

We got off the 58 to eat at the Roadside Diner in Kramer Junction. You can still go inside to eat there. It’s a greasy spoon place but it’s clean. The waitress says they are open for truckers, the Burger King next door only offers drive through service. I tell her the last time I was here must have been 40 years ago, she says, only yesterday. That is true, time is suspended for Kramer Junction, Boron and North Edwards. For those desert cities, it’s the same day everyday.

Governor of NY is talking four to six months lockdown.

Anyone who still thinks this is about a virus, just take the check and roll over.

This is the American equivalent to the Holomodor. This is the intentional murder of the middle class, the business owners, the independent entrepreneur, and anyone who isn’t currently working for the establishment. It will drain their savings, deplete their retirement accounts, leave them deeply in debt, crush their dreams, wreck their community relationships and doom any chance of restarting a business, disincline anyone of every trying something on their own and leave them with a plausible excuse to do it again if there is any evidence it didn’t wipe these people out completely when it’s over.

This was planned by the G-7 types to finally get a hold of the populations. This has no national boundaries, this is a top down operation by the elites to break the backs of the common man for good.

Real people have suffered because of these people. Real people have been stolen from by these people. Real people have died because of these people. Now, the real question who will hold them accountable and when? There is no sane answer as to why we should as a nation let this go unpunished.

Watching the grotesque caricature of a human, Nancy Pelosi, and the other equally grotesque democrats surrounding her you begin to realize how completely fucked this country truly is. Supposedly those grotesques are ‘leaders’ setting policy and pushing for ridiculous agendas and pork using what is supposed to be a relief bill. What we have is a massive farce, a cluster fuck of greed, incompetence, political posturing and theft.

2.5 TRILLION??? These asshats can’t conceive of a trillion dollars, how truly massive that number is, much less two and a half trillion dollars of essentially worthless paper. The politicians are destroying what little vestige of the dollar there is. Other countries aren’t buying our debt, only buyer of Treasuries is the Federal Reserve. We are Zimbabwe.

We aren’t Zimbabwe until the rest of the world loses confidence in the USD. True, Treasuries currently trade as currency. They’re also trying to fill a gravel quarry that is still being actively mined.

Don’t buy into the bullshit. Hyperinflation is a confidence game, not a matter of the Quantity Theory of Money.

We are the core economy with the world reserve currency. Hyperinflation will only occur here if they don’t cook up another monetary system beforehand. And it will happen on the periphery (Europe, Japan, etc.) before the core. Think of a reverse ripple effect on a pond. I would be shocked if they didn’t already have it baked in the cake, considering how psychopathic they are. We aren’t Weimar or Venezuela or even Argentina at the turn of the 20th century.

Now does that mean we aren’t fucked? Noooooo…we are fucked. Especially when Americans see what they’re able to buy in a revamped monetary system and a service economy that oh by the way is collapsing.

Look at the DXY right now. Where’s the big money going? It’s the only game in town until our Dear Leaders decide otherwise. We’ve known this was going to be the End Game before a monetary crisis. I give it 2 more years until Spicy Time. People have time to prepare but not a lot. My plan since 2014 has been trial and error on my edible landscaping with the ultimate goal of productive fruit trees by 2022.

Just now I saw a story about an elderly man who pulled a gun on an older woman and her daughter when they entered the post office wearing gloves and a mask (to protect themselves from surface exposure, etc.). The man was SO TERRIFIED of getting the virus, that he was willing to kill these two. When the story shifted back to the sack of shit doing the news…..no acknowledgement of his/the media’s role in helping to create that sense of terror in the old man. And there will NEVER be an acknowledgement.

They’re lying, certainly. It is much worse than they are admitting.

The WHO spent the last two months screaming that ‘things are fine.’.

As of yesterday, the CFR estimate in the US is just under 13%. Worse than the estimated 9% in Italy, 8% in Spain, 9.5% in Switzerland.

Cases are increasing by 10x about every 15 days: Ro is between 7 and 10. They’re still claiming it’s 2.

Anybody telling you the WHO is overhyping this, and things are really fine, is insane. They can’t deal with reality.

And the GOPe is playing some of you idiots like a fiddle. They’ll gleefully murder 15-25 million of us to keep their pile of shekels and retain the reins of power for a few more years, and you’re too fucking stupid to see it.

So let’s say it is worse than they will admit. Let’s say it’s even 20% mortality rate. Once you’ve killed off all jobs deemed “non-essential” by the govt. (and how they determine THAT must be one hell of a parlor trick!), are the millions of newly hungry and homeless going to magically be immune to the bare necessities? Does hunger and exposure to the elements miraculously make you immune to viruses, whereby health suddenly becomes the base of the pyramid of life? Or is govt. suddenly capable of conjuration of food like a Star Trek microwave?

Think critically, man. Quit living like a deer and be an apex predator.

Email I sent to my father and friend:

X,

I am firmly of the opinion that this evil *must* exist in life in order to get radical, good change. It makes me seeth with rage to see this shit while my neighbors lose their dreams due to total govt. evil and incompetence. See the attached image [Ed.: Maslow’s Hierarchy attached]. It takes common sense to understand that anything above the very base of the pyramid is of lesser and lesser consequence to the survival of the individual. And the individual is the building block – the smallest building block – of civilization.

When you shirk that building block, the very reason to have civilization ceases to exist – it becomes “every man for himself”.

You and I aren’t going to change this at the ballot box because as I said above, the very point of Western civilization is gone. As with all complex systems, the energy required to sustain said system only grows, and becomes impossible to prevent entropy. Therefore, the only peaceful remedy is to prep and to go Galt, and to serve others in the mess that ensues.

I actually look at this as a bright light for our children’s children. We’re going to have to bear the brunt of the darkness though.

Meditate for some time and tune the world out. Nothing positive will ever come from Washington at this juncture. The government is lost, but the country IS NOT! Good INDIVIDUALS can build a better world, like GEN Washington did.

There is a very bright light in the distance. However, we’ve just been selected for whatever reason to deal with the 1-in-a-309.6 year sea change. Tune out the news, ALL politicians the world over, ALL the Runners and Bloviators, and focus. Be the change you want the WORLD to be and quit being scared of Keyser Soze!
