A collaboration of: “The Classic Music Mafia”
nkit, Austrian Peter, and Steve C.
Every Sunday morning we present selections for our TBP family to enjoy.
We present symphonies, ensembles, quartets, octets, etc.
Not all of our music is strictly ‘classical’. We may stray a little, but we strive to make all of our selections ‘classy’.
We offer tips on proper ‘symphony etiquette’ and even some selections that are a bit light-hearted and fun aimed at a younger audience. Those pieces will be so designated, and might be a good way to introduce kids to a world of music that they might not have been exposed to or think of as old and ‘stuffy’.
A full symphony will run as long as it will. We don’t want to cut a symphony short. However, we also include some shorter pieces that we try to keep under fifteen minutes in length. You can sample each and hopefully find one or more that pleases you.
We hope that you enjoy our Sunday selections.

Chi Mai
I’d like to submit this piece by soloist Katica Illenyi accompanied by the Orchestra of the Grand Theatre in Warsaw, Poland
Conducted by Jose Maria Florencio.
The Music is a song composed by Ennio Morricone titled “Chi Mai”.
It is a beautiful piece of music.
Mozart Sonata for Piano Duo in D Major, K.448
Two pianos – something different:
Barenboim & Argerich : Mozart Sonata for Piano Duo in D Major, K.448
Mi-Bemol Saxophone Ensemble Falla El Sombrero de Tres Picos 2/4
Part two of four.
This is an excellent piece done wonderfully by this ensemble.
The Classic Music Mafia – Adding some class to this joint one Sunday at a time.
Heaven help us…
SUPERB selections Sir!!!
The only post more anticipated than the Sunday Cartoons.
Violin piece is as you say Beautiful, and without your efforts us unwashed masses would never have enjoyed it!!
The huge sax standing alone on the far right of the sax piece without a player is puzzling.
Any information on where one goes to learn to become a conductor, as the different styles are quite fascinating.
Wish I was a Zillionnaire to send Admin more gratuities.
Further to the conductor query is this great performance here for one of my favorite pieces, with a very favorite pianist, and the conductors animated style is great.
Thanks so much ursel. It’s truly beautiful.
We will use it with credit to you on September 27th.
I like to listen while reading the Sunday Funnies. Edit: I should say looking at the Sunday Funnies and then reading comments.
