Beethoven’s ‘Ode To Joy’ …. if there’s a more beautiful peace of music in the history of the Western world, I don’t know what it is.
Here are two versions. My favorite is the flash-mob version … the looks of pure joy and wonderment on the faces of the listeners almost brings tears to my eyes.

This past week they explained that the Fifth Symphony is a stand-in for everything they don’t like about classical music and Western culture. As far as they’re concerned, it’s time to cancel Ludwig.
They blame Beethoven for what they consider to be a stuffy elitist classical culture that bolsters the rule of white males and suppresses the voices of women, blacks and the LGBTQ community …. that his music is the “soundtrack” for “white privilege” and “oppression“. A few years ago someone named Susan McClary (yet another Woke Asshole) compared Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony to the “rage of an impotent rapist“.
When the Woke Assholes desire to cancel George Washington, Jesus Christ, and now Ludwig von Beethoven … then you ought to wake up and pay attention, for this is not only a war against American culture, it is truly a war on Western civilization. Nothing you hold dear will be left untouched.
When George Washington, Jesus Christ, and Ludwig von Beethoven are discarded in the dustbin of history then absolutely nothing is safe … not even your own life.
As TBP’s resident theologian (at least in my own mind) I close this short piece with a word from the Lord, Psalm 139:22 ….
The only question to answer is, when God says “Them” .. to whom is He referring?
I have consulted all my lexicons, Hebrew dictionaries, concordances, and commentaries and, as such, I have discovered that the root word for “Them” is the Hebrew word אגוז מלך . The best translation into modern English is “wokesters“.
What an amazing piece of prophecy written over 2,500 years ago … that the desire of the Lord Jehovah himself is for us in the year 2020 to ….. HATE WITH PERFECT HATE ALL WOKESTER DEMOCRATS!!!

David is, in many ways as was Joseph, a picture of the Christ to come. In this psalm, accurately written in the majority text transliteration of the King James Bible, “perfect” hatred is reserved only for the Lord.
“Them” would therefore be the enemies of the Lord and the Lords chosen.

I have always thought that if God spoke the universe into existence he did it with song and maybe just maybe Ludwig was able to hear pieces of that divine song and did his best to translate those pieces for the rest of us. That would a beautiful reason for such a musical genius to lose his hearing.
Japan has always had a cultural love affair with Beethoven and especially the 9th. I hope to one day go to their New Years Beethoven concert.

A very long time ago, NASA sent off a rocketship with what it considered the highest achievements of earth people for aliens to consider. I only recall one of the items and it was a recording of The Fifth. At the time of its first being played, one of the cognoscenti said it was “Madness.” And so it has gone, and now today the Ninth is condemned by the same fools as are always doing what fools do.
