Letter from Great Britain – 12-05-20

“The Financial Jigsaw” has been serialised here and now is replaced by this weekly “Letter from Great Britain.”

NOTEIf anyone would like an electronic copy of the complete book, I should be pleased to email a free PDF on request to: [email protected]. Also a hardcopy of the book, “The Financial Jigsaw” is available priced at £25 GBP plus P&P in A4, workbook format, bound with clear plastic covers, printed locally on demand.

My county of Somerset is in the tier 2 category which means that, apart from the usual social distancing, gathering in homes and mask-wearing, our local pubs are only allowed to open if they are providing ‘substantial meals’.  Whilst my genial host, Mike, at our local Sun Inn offers meals, his main income (80%) comes from liquor sales so it is not viable for him to open for trade.  He will remain closed until either the spring brings relief or in the forlorn hope that we go down to tier 1.  Therefore my major source of comfort and local news has been cut off for the duration – I will have to rely on local press reports for inside information and gossip – not a pleasant prospect for the coming months.

The hospitality industry is being wiped out by these draconian measures, all of which are totally unnecessary (see below).  The main trade bodies representing the beleaguered sector – the British Beer and Pub Association, the British Institute of Innkeeping and UKHospitality – said the new findings revealed that 72% of members expected to operate at a loss and to be unable to survive because of the collapse in trade.  They are pleading for more generous government grants and “fine-tuning” of tier restrictions to save thousands of businesses – which may never reopen otherwise – and hundreds of thousands of jobs.

The survey based on a poll of 446 UK businesses representing more than 20,000 venues, found the tiering system used across England before the latest countrywide lockdown was particularly damaging to pubs and hospitality businesses.  The bodies warned that without greater government support, by February 2021 there would be 750,000 fewer jobs in the sector compared with earlier this year.  A joint spokesperson for the three organisations said: “The evidence is here to see of the devastating, long-term impact the government’s restrictions are having.

In the meantime Boris is under extreme pressure from his compatriots to revise the planned tiered lockdown system to incorporate more in-depth assessments rather than the county-based presently invoked where many areas are not under pressure from the virus but are locked down anyway.  Businesses, especially the smaller ‘mom & pop’ ones are impacted unnecessarily. Here are some live examples of how the hospitality industry is suffering.

“While there was welcome relief at the news that England’s second national lockdown would finally end, Thursday’s announcement that it was to be replaced with only slightly milder restrictions across much of the country left many fearing a bleak winter in tiers 2 and 3.  Only three areas received a relative reprieve in tier 1, but, for many, happiness was tempered by a fear that an influx of visitors from riskier areas could leave them facing tougher restrictions too.

The pub landlords, Kieran Devine and his brother Conor, who have been in the pub trade for 34 years and run the Huntsman pub in Cheadle in Staffordshire, the new rules made little sense.  “It’s absolutely crazy that you can get a tattoo but not go to the pub,” said Kieran Devine. “You can have a facial where someone is standing inches away from you but you can’t go to a well-run pub with table service – it is complete madness.”

The suffering that Britain is experiencing will not be short-lived.  It is projected that poverty will explode for many years even if the vaccine limits the damage.  There will no relief according to this report:  “With the government already under pressure to improve the financial aid it is providing, it emerged that real household disposable income is set to rise by just £220 from 2019 to 2024, the expected period of the current parliament; a lift of just 1%.

The analysis by the Resolution Foundation think-tank, based on official figures, highlights how long the economic scarring from the pandemic will take its toll on household finances. It concluded that it would mark the second worst parliament for income growth since 1955, when records began. Only the 2015-17 parliament, when incomes actually fell by 0.1% a year, has a worse record.

The hit to household income emerges amid a growing outcry over the plight of 2.9 million self-employed workers who say they are facing “a miserable Christmas period” after being excluded from the government’s financial aid schemes.  The groups who have not been helped include the newly self-employed, directors of small limited companies, self-employed workers who have earned £50,000 or more in trading profits in recent years and certain types of freelancers.

These workers are facing a miserable Christmas period, and the evidence is mounting that many may turn away from self-employment and freelance work in the future. This is a tragedy for these individuals, their families and their businesses, but it is also a disaster for the economy.”

AND here is more news about how the British police state will cunningly make the vaccine mandatory without actually making it law.  “UK vaccine minister Nadhim Zahawi says he expects bars, cinemas, restaurants and sports stadiums to all demand proof of vaccination against COVID-19 before allowing customers to enter their venues.  Zahawi went on to explain that the NHS’ ‘track and trace’ app, the use of which was implemented as a requirement to enter bars and restaurants, had set the pretext for the vaccine eventually being made mandatory to enter such venues.”  Perhaps coming as no surprise, both Nadhim Zahawi and Alan Joyce have ties to the World Economic forum, the organization behind the “Great Reset” agenda which has the stated goal of moulding a post COVID world to its vision.

The devastation in the British high street continues amok as yet another key retailer entered liquidation this week.  The Debenhams department store chain is to be wound down after Christmas, with the loss of up to 12,000 jobs and closure of 124 stores in a new blow to the high street.

The liquidation of the 240-year-old business came just a day after Philip Green’s Arcadia group, the owner of brands including Topshop, Miss Selfridge and Wallis, collapsed into administration. A total of 25,000 jobs are now at risk at the two companies, which were once part of the Burton Group.  The demise of the department store chain will hit many towns across the UK, as the shops are anchor tenants in numerous shopping centres and key attractions on high streets.

Alongside Arcadia, a host of other established high street names are in trouble, battered by the twin problems of lockdowns and a shift to online retailing which has accelerated rapidly this year. Edinburgh Woollen Mill plus Peacocks and Jaeger are among the names which have collapsed in recent weeks.  The sale will further ratchet up the pressure on rival retailers such as John Lewis and Marks & Spencer which will now be under pressure to match the fire-sale prices. The first Debenhams closures are expected in the New Year, with all expected to close down by the end of March.

Richard Lim, the chief executive of analysis firm Retail Economics, said the demise of Debenhams would leave huge gaps on the high street. He said: “We cannot overstate the significance of this collapse given the vast property portfolio, number of jobs impacted, and the reverberations felt across the industry.”

While people shop online more, footfall on local high streets has massively decreased in the last ten years and dropped massively during the pandemic, with a whopping 80% drop nationwide in April. Arcadia’s fixation on physical retail and unwillingness to let go of high street shops was also a setback. Arcadia’s rival Intidex, for example, has 107 stores in the UK – this includes Zara, Primark, Pull and Bear, among several other brands. By contrast, Topshop alone has more than 300 physical locations across the UK.  Here is a history of how this emblematic group failed to keep up with the times:

All this chaos is the direct result of flawed science resting on the ‘tests’ being used to prove the existence of a global pandemic.  And yet there are many scientists publishing indisputable evidence that the RT-PCR test is invalid.  It is difficult not to conclude that a great hoax is taking place by parties that have been clearly identified.

“It is difficult to overstate the implications of this revelation. Every single thing about the Covid orthodoxy relies on ‘case numbers’, which are largely the results of the now widespread PCR tests. If their results are essentially meaningless, then everything we are being told – and ordered to do by increasingly dictatorial governments – is likely to be incorrect. For instance, one of the authors of the review is Dr Mike Yeadon, who asserts that, in the UK, there is no ‘second wave’ and that the pandemic has been over since June. Having seen the PCR tests so unambiguously debunked, it is hard to see any evidence to the contrary.”

Even more pressing is the question of what is going to be done about this now. The people responsible for writing and publishing the paper have to be held accountable. But also, all PCR testing based on the Corman-Drosten protocol should be stopped with immediate effect. All those who are so-called current ‘Covid cases’, diagnosed based on that protocol, should be told they no longer have to isolate. All present and previous Covid deaths, cases, and ‘infection rates’ should be subject to a massive retroactive inquiry. And lockdowns, shutdowns, and other restrictions should be urgently reviewed and relaxed.  Because these latest blows to PCR testing raises the probability that we are not enduring a killer virus pandemic, but a false positive pseudo-epidemic. And one on which we are destroying our economies, wrecking people’s livelihoods and causing more deaths than Covid-19 will ever claim.” https://www.rt.com/op-ed/508383-fatal-flaws-covid-test/

Here is a short technical paper debunking the RT-PCR tests:  “This paper will show numerous serious flaws in the Corman-Drosten paper, the significance of which has led to worldwide misdiagnosis of infections attributed to SARS-CoV-2 and associated with the disease COVID-19. We are confronted with stringent lockdowns which have destroyed many people’s lives and livelihoods, limited access to education and these imposed restrictions by governments around the world are a direct attack on people’s basic rights and their personal freedoms, resulting in collateral damage for entire economies on a global scale.  There are ten fatal problems with the Corman-Drosten paper which we will outline and explain in greater detail in the following sections:”

Now that UK has left the EU, I will comment on relevant EU – UK events as they arise

As negotiations continue, Britain’s new immigration bill, which became law earlier this month, does not just repeal EU citizens’ right to work and live in UK – a key Brexit ask – or British nationals’ right to do the same across the bloc. It will also make it very hard indeed for many Britons who have already moved to ever come home again.  That right, however, will end on 29 March 2022. “After that,” Godfrey said, “if you want to come back with your non-British partner, you’ll need to earn £18,600 a year, a lot more if you have non-British kids. And if your partner wants to move and be able to work in their own right immediately, they’ll have to meet the new points system.”

Godfrey said up to 40% of Britons likely to want to return feared they would not fulfil the income requirement, and most of their partners did not do jobs on the Home Office list. Associated costs – NHS surcharges, fees – could run into thousands of pounds.  “It’s just a massive change,” said Godfrey. “It basically asks people to decide now, in the next 15 months, whether they want to change their whole lives. For many, it’s asking them to choose between elderly parents in Britain and partners and children in the EU.  “It’s a terrible choice, and it’s really not one that any civilised government should be asking its citizens to make.”

To be continued next week.

Thanks.

They are going t make it very difficult if not impossible to return to a normal life. And to refuse the vaccine will put you outside society. It is damn near certain. You may not be able to travel, buy or sell without having proof of vaccination.

It is dire times.

ok,

here is some insight:

for the last 20 years, I have worked in the ID scanning biz. we have morphed from simple age calculation, to document validation, using forensic scanners to ensure the ID is not fake.

I am amazed that there is such a huge demand for our service, but the primary provider of fake id is: China. and the country that supplies the library to match each layer of the ID security features is: Israeli.

I hope I don’t have to explain the ramifications of this, to some of the readers.

however I want you all to realize where we are all heading.

the choices for control are simple.

either they rely on an ID that will be easily faked (for access to everything)

or

they implement facial rec with a biometric backup.

If you still think this is about protecting the population from a virus, then you really enjoy living in a virtual Prison, of your own making.
