Was Trump Just Naive?

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

From the very beginning, they set out to control Trump. They surrounded him with swamp creatures. I was very disappointed when I saw he even brought in Goldman Sachs. I have said before that I believe Trump was very naive. The loyalties in private business are totally different in Washington. They are never loyal to an individual, it is the swamp that must be sustained.

As I have also said before, there used to be a vetting process and I was asked to fly around and meet with people who wanted to run for president. Then I was asked to fly to Texas to meet with Bush Jr, but I was told “this is different,” and they said he was stupid. I was shocked. When I asked why they would make someone stupid president, they responded he had the “name” to win.

I have also stated it was at that time I was asked if I would take the position as the chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers. I declined, for I would have to give up my business. But they were doing the hand-picking of everyone to surround Bush and that included Dick Cheney who was really the de facto president.

Trump is not stupid. He has had too much of an ego in some areas. I believe he was trying to show he did something that did not come from his father. Yet, there is a difference in dealing in the real world and that is the Washington bubble. Trump was naive, as is most of America, in thinking that being president is the same as being the president of a company. It is not. The countless layers of bureaucrats have zero loyalty to you. Just like those who think the head of the CIA suddenly knows all the secrets right down to Area 51. All among the ranks, they know these are political appointments that come and go. They NEVER let the secrets rise to the top, for they are NEVER one of them.

I believe that Trump was naive. When he began to see that people like Bolton were warmongers, he fired them. That was him starting to realize he was surrounded. He then turned to his family. But even Sidney Powell said Trump was surrounded and she could not get in.

This is not unique to Trump. The swamp is there to protect itself. That is why they do not want any outsiders. People have asked me many times if I would ever consider running for president. I laugh because the question in and of itself is naive. It assumes that I could become president and change everything. It just does not work that way. Trump thought he could drain the swamp. But the swamp was working very hard to drown him and it’s not over yet. They are trying to make an example out of Trump to serve as a warning to any non-swamp creatures–think twice before you try to run for office in this town.

I personally do not think it is remotely possible to elect someone to clean-up Washington. When it becomes this bad, history warns there is no solution other than revolution.

” No solution but revolution”
And no guarantee that would work.

Just wait, watch and prepare for the collapse and aftermath or until the psychopaths seriously overplay their hand in a point of no return situation.

Either above scenario could kick off anytime but I think the rapture of the Church sometime over the next 5 years is what will really get things rolling for everyone left behind.

You’re right, Marty, Trump isn’t stupid. Still a man can be an asshole without being stupid. He can also do some monumentally stupid shit without being stupid himself, It only takes being prone to respond to someone with an agenda who deliberately strokes the man’s ego and lures him into doing a monumentally stupid thing.

Appointing John Bolton is one monumentally stupid thing that Trump did. I suspect that fatass Mike Pompeo stroked Trump into hiring Bonkers Bolton. Of course, that points us back to another monumentally stupid thing Trump did: appointing Pompeo. I’ll stipulate that Trump wasn’t stupid he just did stupid shit. Past a certain point, anything else he did that was cunning or smart doesn’t even register with some of us onlookers.

I think Trump was too close to the swamp that he wanted to drain, such that he didn’t know at which point the swamp began. He just didn’t know how bad many of these people really were. The re-animation of the rotting, putrescent corpse that was John Bolton convinced me that Trump didn’t know who actually was swamp and who wasn’t, but maybe until then he thought he did.

That’s an astute observation, PB. I’m adding it to my base of premises. Trump probably had no idea that his own business models were dependent upon the existence of The Swamp, and so his success in stacking assets were only possible by the kind of banking enterprises that are protected and fostered by what we call The Swamp.

His acceptance of Eliot Abrams is another indication of what you’re seeing. Good call.

Yes President Trump was naïve, but we failed him too. Sure he listened to Javanka too much, but his biggest problem is he assumed he’d be able to pull his bench from within the Republican party and they failed him every time, starting with Paul Manafort and ending with John Ratclife. The failure to provide Trump a bench is OUR fault. WE allowed the Republican party to be hollowed out and filled with spineless neocon hacks and grifters. Join. Attend. Vote. It’s not that hard.

He knew what he was doing all along. Helped along by his B3rg* assistants. Sacks O’ Gold Man!. SHeesh.

The big give away is that he did not pardon Assange and Snowdon. Watta Doosh.

trump didn’t pardon them b/c the republican senators would have voted to convict him in his impeachment trial–

Trump can’t pardon Assange without being impeached

And IF they had sucessfully impeached him now, that would be bad because of…. what exactly?

(For the daydreamers: He’s not going to run in 2024 no matter what.)

I remember listening to a interview with Sebastian Gorka, who went on to say that during the transition process, he was on a team that vetted people for political appointments, they ended up with a list of many thousands of MAG people who had never served in government before. The list was finalized and sent up the chain, and it never made it to Trump. No doubt Rince Prebus or someone else shitcanned that whole thing.

Trump did what he said he would do, he drained the swamp and exposed the creatures. What he also exposed to his probable surprise was the communists. One man cannot do much about the swamp creatures and the communists, however, exposing them to the people is already having an effect in their eventual removal. For example, thousands of national guard and fencing with razor wire around the capital shows that the creatures are scared as heck of the people now.

The damage is done and the curtain is raised. The hatred for these creatures will only increase. Who is really the legitimate president? This is the first time in my life that I don’t recognize the person sitting in the white house as our rightful president. And I am sure millions of others feel the same way as I do.

As the weeks and months go by watch as the faith in government begins to wane as their power declines. A great depression is coming to this country all caused by our morally bankrupt government leaders and their corporate sponsors. This is waking the people up who are losing everything and I suspect all these morally bankrupt leaders to be gone in the months ahead along with the giant corporations that support them. When small business goes so will these giant corporations. No government welfare and penny-less people means these corporations have nothing to feed on. These monopolies are going by by. Watch the airlines go first very soon.

Everything has a season and then they are gone. So it is with people in their generation.

Trump may not have drained the swamp, but he certainly lowered the water level to expose many of the creatures dwelling there, including the Turtle

Shorting is risky and dangerous to small investors.
A hundred or a thousand organized Muppets can do some temporary damage to hedge funds and banks but the Muppets aren’t backstopped by the Fed. Raised margin limits, trading halts, or simply being locked out of an online account by denial of service can kill you financially in a rigged casino.
Buy oil/mining shares. Buy and hold physical metals. When the big downdraft happens all the liquidity will get sucked out of the derivatives market. The Big Money will head to commodities and create some opportunities for the patient small investor who saw the market implosion coming.

The PTB have not allowed the most qualified person to be nominated for at least 50 years. Which is why Carter and Clinton got elected.
