Yes rhs jr. I don’t remember her birth name, but her call sign was Revlon. Really. She was the top grad in fighter school. (cough cough bushit cough) She had an engine stall in a Tomcat on short final. They were known for that at high angles of attack. Tomcat pilots routinely practiced the recovery drill. She waited forever to eject. She was over 90 degrees of angle when she punched out to her death.

Oh man that brings back memories. 12 years ago or so we decided to bring our 3 pigs to the slaughter house along with the neighbors that owned the other ones. Young dude had a crappy trailer that he sided with cheap plywood. Finally got the pigs in there with the head over the bucket trick. I was driving behind said vehicle and trailer when one pig jumped on the plywood in the back and tried to crawl over. Hooves over and ears flapping, 65 mph. I was close so thought I might be done for. Good times! But but but, bacon is worth it!
I’ve got one like that. Summer before applying for Veterinary School was living in the San Luis Valley with my cousin and working for his Veterinarian. It was fair time and we loaded his kids 4 4H hogs into my old Hale stock trailer. The back swinging gate had a center section that pulled out so you could back up and load that way without swinging the gate. Loaded the hogs, slipped the center panel in and drove the 15 miles to the fairgrounds in Monte Vista. Monte Vista had one traffic light and we pulled up on a red. My cousin happened to see in the rear view mirror that the center panel in the rear gate was gone. We both jumped out of the pickup and were able to slam the center gate in the middle of the trailer shut before any of the pigs bailed out. We back tracked our way home after unloading the hogs and never found that center panel. My cousin was the County Sheriff at the time and was damn sure glad those hogs didn’t bail out in beautiful downtown Monte Vista.
