The little community store/gas pump was about a mile and a half from our home. They had one of those old style coolers where the bottles would almost freeze when the cap came off. We got to be “experts” at judging which of those treasured bottom-sodas would turn into slush for a dime well spent.
That was, of course, when such a treat was really a “treat” and required the bike ride of a mile and a half there and back to get it.
A dime and the time well spent on a Summer’s Day in the 1960s.

While I never drank the stuff anyhow the try to be less white bullshit had me look at other companies they are part of to make sure I do not support them financially.
The beverage industry has a bad habit of looking at maximizing their profit margins because gaining market share in a competitive arena is difficult. If they can’t create a popular item at reduced cost, they buy out someone else who does, then marketing and R&D manages to ruin that product, too.
This, and a few other reasons, is why I decided to learn how to brew my own beer and remove the middlemen. The business is a racket where I live. There are good products on the market but the distributors in my area refuse to carry certain brands in volume because people overwhelmingly like to buy the cheapest, low quality commercial shit to drink they can.
One of the things that irked the hell out me was the “ride the wave” craft beer brewers who got in on the George Floyd/BLM “woke” bullshit as a marketing ploy to regain their lost COVID revenue.
Screw those people.
I am considering spending the Stimmie cash on a better brew setup and possibly a copper pot still, too.
The baseball commissioner moved the game from a city with a predominantly black demographic of liberal idiots to a predominantly white demographic of liberal idiots in Colorado.
I really think Wokesters should consider turning the act of kicking themselves in the nuts into a sport.
It is probably an effort to get homosexuals to watch baseball, and will work about as well as trying to get blacks to watch NASCAR.
Just stop supporting professional sports in any way…the arc of history will be bent. Men without the diversion of children’s games will maybe start thinking about things that matter.
