Idea: In 2022, Let’s Nominate Candidates Who Aren’t Awful

To save our country from President *’s reign of error, the Republican Party is going to have to think outside the box, push the envelope, and execute other similar cliches. I have a suggestion for an innovative strategy for the 2022 election cycle that might well overcome the usual GOP establishment tendency toward failure. I say – and you may want to sit down – that this time we should pick some candidates that don’t suck.

Hear me out. It’s kind of crazy, but it just might work.

A nominee who doesn’t suck has certain advantages over the usual losers we see all too often idioting up our ballots. One of those advantages is that people are more likely to vote for someone who is not terrible than one who manifestly is. And getting more votes than the Democrat – who is always terrible – is a very, very important part of electoral victory, though you would not know that from the GOPe’s actions. Its members seem to think the goal is polite defeat, but us unwashed Jesus people who like guns and America and don’t live near Washington have this weird notion that candidates should attempt to win their elections.

Maybe we should try that in 2022.

Now, a good Republican candidate needs to do several things to keep from failing at the starting line. These things are pretty basic, and they are not hard. You just need a spine, though in our party, vertebrae sometimes seem to be in short supply.

A good Republican candidate needs to understand the entire campaign is about President Asterisk and the economic and social havoc he is causing for normal Americans.

A good Republican candidate needs to know what time it is – that is, he needs to understand that wokism is a terminal illness if not treated by amputation.

A good Republican candidate needs to get that we are the party of law and order, on our streets and on the border.

A good Republican candidate needs to know that every institution hates us, and that we owe the institutions no deference or respect.

A good Republican candidate needs to know that we are not the party of big corporations but of working people and small business.

A good Republican candidate needs to get that the only commonsense gun control is a clear sight picture, proper grip, and good breath control as you squeeze the trigger.

A good Republican candidate needs to loathe the media as much as it loathes us.

A good Republican candidate needs to understand that we still love President Trump and that we will not support anyone who joins the liberals in attacking him.

In other words, a good Republican candidate needs to side with us, not the establishment, and a good Republican candidate doesn’t care if the establishment hates him – in fact, he wears its fussy fury as a badge of honor.

Imagine GOP candidates embracing the GOP base’s agenda…it’s wacky, sure, but perhaps we should give it a try.

Like, say, in Pennsylvania. The Senate seat there is up for grabs, Pat Toomey’s brilliant idea to support gun control and backstab the President having assured him a primary that he would have lost in a most humiliating fashion. Weird how your own side despises you when you betray it, and how the other side also despises you because it always despised you plus now you’re a scuzzy turncoat to boot. So, there’s a fight coming in the PA. And we might just keep this critical seat because…drumroll…Republican voters have a chance to nominate a good candidate. Sean Parnell – who is a friend – has announced, and he’s already the frontrunner. A decorated combat vet and author, Sean almost took out Connor Lamb in a Dem district in 2020. Only megabucks from Pelosi and that special help all PA Dems receive saved Lamb’s worthless sheepskin from defeat.

Sean, however, used his campaign to build a reputation and honed his political chops. PA is in play – Scranton Joe never cared about the Keystone State, and he is attacking fracking and cultivating inflation. People are angry. Sean’s got a first-rate team, and he’s got a plan. But most important, he’s all in on conservatism, not the cruise ship con kind that has all the bow-tie boys in the Beltway shrieking “Ahoy,” but the kind of conservatism that fights and wins.

Another Jeb! puffball is not going to win – they almost never win, and when they manage to, they become Mitt Romney. Nobody likes Mitt Romney.

Another tiresome self-funder is not going to win – this seat matters and it is no time for some rich goober to ego trip Chuck Schumer into a filibuster-busting majority.

And, as we saw recently in Texas 6, where the Cheney/Kinzinger Lido Deck candidate got a whopping 3% of the vote, another Never Trump Fredocon is not going to win. A ranger like Sean Parnell? Now, he can win.

This is not merely applicable to PA, of course. Sean is just one of the first of the new generation of good candidates to get in the fight. We’ll be seeing a lot more new

Republican candidates appear, and we need to vet the hell out of them to ensure they are conservawoke. Are they weakhearts, sissies, or some other part of the Bulwark demographic? Are they corporate shills? Are they all in on your kids fighting a war in Whocarsistan? Do they treat the media like the garbage it is? When the left runs down President Trump, do they defend his record or nod along? Do they stand with you, or with the people who hate you? Choose wisely. And choose someone who isn’t awful in 2022.

US politics is a rigged game. The only way to win a rigged game is not to play it. Sad but true. If you want to win the nice prizes you have to play a different game.

Yes. Let’s just continue on, totally ignoring the fact that the last election WAS UTTERLY RIGGED. Back to your original programming.

Not all, not all, not all but MOST people that go into politics already sucha di palli, that’s why they go into politics. Liars, thieves, grifters, criminals, prowlers, pedophiles, boy lovers, 2nd story men, plunders, kleptomaniacs, bottom-feeders, highwaymen, sexually degenerate deviants, disruptive, commies, actors, dynasty wealth babies…and in the words of Dalton, “trustees of modern chemistry”. I could go on, but why bother. At this point, the only politician I can think of that’s not even half a doucher is Jim Jordan. I’m getting to long in years for this shit.

Silly man, Kurt still thinks voting is viable. Guess he was asleep when the election was boldly and blatantly stolen last November. The democrats are in control and will be so from now until the nation collapses into a massive shit and trash strewn leftist utopia….

The politicians and wannabes we have here in the no longer united States fall into just a few groups:

-Those actively and willingly participating in the reset, sam, heist (insert your own term here). This is the largest group and encompasses almost every incumbent. Think Gretchen Whitmer or Lindsay Graham. Too a man, woman and Pelosi, they are 100% irredeemable.

-Next we have the sort that know a big game is going on and want to get a piece of it for themselves, but haven’t yet gotten the invite or learned the secret handshake. Think AOC pr Dan Crenshaw in their first week or so. They soon become irredeemable.

-Next are a very few idealistic people who see the rot and want to be a part of the solution. A very small and mostly powerless group subject to cancellation, indictment, or execution any time the Establishment management tires of their yipping. Think Ron Desantis. Some members of tis club are Quislings, so don’t be surprised wen they turn on you. Think Mr. Trump.

-Last are the dedicated public servants who selflessly toil for the good of the people exclusively, giving no thought to themselves. They take their oath to protect and defend the Constitution seriously. We also call this sort a Unicorn. Spoken of with reverence but never actually seen.

Vote if you like, or if you find it entertaining. A good opportunity to people watch, or meet some neighbors. Just don’t pretend that voting makes any difference. It does not, and it won’t in ’22. 24. 26…. Our tenders don’t pretend voting matters, neither should you.

OK, Kurt. Who is going to count the votes in Philthadelphia? Will it be the same group who shut down the counting with Trump ahead and restarted with the Creepy Old Pedophile in the lead? Will it really matter how many PA citizen votes your friend gets, if the mail in ballots are shipped by the truckload from NYC?

The dems know how to steal ANY election and will continue to hone their skills until they have veto proof majorities throughout the land.

Party leadership at the state and local level controlls all the resources that a candidate needs to win the nomination. If party leadership likes the POS that is the incumbent, he/she will win the primary. And if someone with integrity happens to slip through, party leadership will help support their opponent from the other party. That is how BOTH worthless major parties work in the US.

What’s the point? The dems are not even pretending the elections are legitimate anymore. You can have someone who could be the greatest leader ever seen and he would still come second to the preferred candidate

Start with 50 independent nation states and let them come together any way they wish in cofederations. For sure allow any and all further divisions so states that are too huge and too diverse to also splint into numerous more “responsive” sovereign units (like east and west Washington, same with Oregon, the multiple Californias, etc.). Dissolve the federal government 100% so that the issues of Congressional “representation,” power, etc. have NO impact whatsoever on these positive moves.

I love how Schlichter thinks elections are still a thing as if the last election never occurred. I could forgive this error if this were a one time thing but he’s done it time and time again since the last election. Kurt, baby, US elections are over. I hate to break it to you but you have to face reality. If a bank robber robs a bank and totally gets away with it and the judicial system gave him 100% immunity, do ya think he will stop robbing banks? Yeah so that’s every blue district and blue run election system in US. Elections are not a thing anymore.

I’m voting with my Apathy, with a strong side-issue of Futility!
I am most certainly voting with my feet; I will not take one more step toward any acknowledgement that this system is in any way, shape or form healthy, Constitutional (redundant, I know) or (again redundant) honest.
I’m no longer for It, I’m not against It, as much as possible I ignore It.

There were 50,000 more “votes” than voters in the Parnell/Lamb race. Lamb won by a few hundred votes. He even conceded and then came back and said “never mind” and waited for the mail-in theft. RINO legislature refused to investigate.

I used to like Schlichter, but he’s just hot air these days. The voting system is broken, as is DC. Even if we vote in a top notch conservative, the forces against him (him, not her) will be too strong. Secession is the only hope. The rot is too deep.

Republicans need to drop the law and order schtick. It’s weak, it tells people that republicans don’t actually believe in their ideology, and aren’t willing to risk anything in its name, and when the democrats happily threaten to burn down half the nation if they lose, AND THEN DO SO, it makes it difficult to support republicans.

Trump was awful in a lot of ways, but the worst was that he’d drop you immediately if you became a problem for him. After he just watched Flynn be destroyed, the entire thing with Breitbart, infowars, Charlottesville, Rittenhouse, even with Scott Adams, Trump does nothing for his supposed allies, who all suffer horrible consequences for supporting his supposed positions, as he happily panders to the enemy, giving people like Fauci full authority to do whatever.

A lot of this relates to republican ideas of fairness, self reliance and grit. If you’re charged with a crime, you should fight your way out yourself. If you want a job, you should beat the competition on merit. Only the worthy should succeed in life.

Meanwhile, democrats hire and fire, judge crime, and give out money, based on ideology.

Merit, in terms of, the ability to do a job competently, be persuasive, and get stuff done, is spread mostly evenly between republicans and democrats. So, republicans hire an even mix of republicans and democrats, while democrats hire only other democrats. This goes all the way up to high government positions, like the supreme court, who then, despite a supposed republican majority, vote almost unanimously, to include every last Trump appointee, against Trump.

Even if you are part of that one fourth who’s a republican who got in on merit, the reality is that you’re a black sheep, you can’t get anything done at work because you’re always voted down, and everything you have that the democrats can get their hands on is destroyed. As with Scott Atlas, you supposedly have the same rank as Fauci, but your position is an empty shell, you have no real authority, and your reputation is obliterated.

On the note of the supreme court, lawyers are, overwhelmingly, left wing. Law school, is left wing. Even the most rightwing members of a left wing institution are, on the left side of the right. As long as republicans declare outright that the left understands and implements the law better than they do, they will have no legal standing, on anything, ever. Trump tried to pick out “good guys” from a fouled pool. This was an error. Republicans need to realize that courts are part of the political system, and “winning” requires placing right wing judges, politicians, not lawyers, people who are actually republicans and are willing to dismiss out of hand sophistic arguments that the second amendment doesn’t actually do anything, the first amendment doesn’t apply to hate speech or misinformation, you can have a speedy trial, you just have to admit you’re guilty, etc. We don’t need “skilled” judges, who have mastered the art of bending language to their purposes. We need right wing judges who merely read off the clear language of the law, and the obvious intent thereof. This system of “merit”, this contrived set of credentials required for judiciary positions, is a shackle, and it’s totally destroying the republican cause.

In essence, the only way for republicans to win, is to take several elements of the democratic playbook, to include-

Threaten violence. Make it clear that a fake election is an act of war. Obtain the means to plausibly enforce your threat.

Insult democrats. Make it clear that democrats are bad people, and being a democrat is bad.

Stand by the right wing. You don’t have to agree with everything everyone says, but make it clear that you’ll work with anyone who’s willing to stand up to the left, and that if you win, democrats won’t be able to ruin your career, seize your fortune, shoot you in a back alley, or drag your reputation through the mud. This means, by the way, support racists. You don’t have to be racist, just state, when questioned, that communists are worse than Nazis, and in any case, are more of a threat to the nation. Support christians. Don’t be a christian, admit straightforwardly that christians are delusional, but emphasize that the leftist woke state religion is far more insane than a religion that has thousands of years of evolution in it and has maybe worked out a few good tips on how to run a nation.

Democrats are the plurality. In a game of divide and conquer, they will win. As long as republicans insist on acting within their own little clan, as long as their ranking system is (Their Ingroup)>(Left)>(Satan)>(Other Right Wing Tribes), they will never accomplish anything.
