The conundrums of Police and Concealed Carry. Lots of truth in the old saws, I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy and when seconds count cops are only minutes away. However, when cops show up to an active shooting situation and you’re holding a gun, even if you’re the good guy…well. There are good cops, the Cop killed in this incident was a good cop. Then there are bad cops, either poorly trained or those on a power trip. Unfortunately life is not often Black and White and there are an infinite shade of grays. My suggestion is go talk to the average middle class people of places like Minneapolis to see if they want their police funded or defunded. The only thing I can really say is that this was a sad and ugly incident. Officer Beesely didn’t stand a chance, John Hurley made a split second decision that likely may have saved many lives but cost him his own. As for the responding officer(s) that shot John Hurley, think about what they have to deal with mentally for the rest of their days on earth.

Stucky you prolly get your loathing from living in Jersey. For the most part (and it is worth reiterating “For the most part”) Colorado cops are good guys, and most a-holes cops are in Denver anyway (at least it was like that until I moved out to come this shithole). Think about it.

I have thought about my loathing. Oddly enough, it has very little to do with me living in NJ. For the most part, the few interactions have been either neutral, or even positive. (Chatham assholes aside.)

My loathing comes from what I believe are facts;

—1) Cops obey their masters, the government. Their masters are evil cocksuckers. I loathe what government has become. Transitive Property requires that I hate cops.

—2) Cops most often must be, by definition, amoral. For example, beating you senseless with a club or tasering you for a non-offense such as not wearing a mask is acceptable to them, done without remorse, and withing consideration of the morality of it all, just because “obeying orders … doing my job”.

—3) Wearing a badge, carrying a gun, being able to boss people around with impunity …. well, I believe that requires a psychopathic personality for most.

—4) As such, “To Protect and To Serve” is the biggest bullshit slogan of all time. “To Protect and To Serve the GOVERNMENT” would be more accurate.

—5) The Internet!!! Too many endless examples of their mind-fuckery. The Light has exposed their Darkness, which is Legion.

Yes, there are exceptions. There are always exceptions to anything. God Bless the good cops. And I mean that. But, the way things are going, in ten years time will anyone be able to say there are still good cops? Wish I knew … I don’t have a Ouija Board … but, I’m guessing not-so-much.

My experience with CO cops have (for the exception of one) pretty good. Even when I was caught going 104 on Hwy 25 crossing Denver he asked me why: told him working 2 jobs to raise the kid, I’m exhausted, just want to go home and sleep. The cop lowered down to 95 so I wouldn’t loose my licence.
Now with the covid sheeit going on, I have no clue.

“Cops most often must be, by definition, amoral.”

Semantic bone to pick:
Humans, by definition, are not and cannot be amoral. Exceptions to this rule are the comatose, the profoundly retarded, those suffering certain neurological or psychiatric conditions, and infants.
Dogs are amoral. Lions, tigers, and bears, are amoral. Trees are amoral. Rocks and other inanimate things are amoral.
Human action is either moral or immoral.

H e’s wrong. Amoral also applies to people. An amoral person doesn’t care about right or wrong or is indifferent to the concept. Sociopaths are amoral.

Amoral
adjective
1. not involving questions of right or wrong; without moral quality; neither moral nor immoral.
2. having no moral standards, restraints, or principles; unaware of or indifferent to questions of right or wrong:
a completely amoral person.

Immoral

adjective
1.violating moral principles; not conforming to the patterns of conduct usually accepted or established as consistent with principles of personal and social ethics.
2.licentious or lascivious.

Muhgirl, let’s play vocab technicality tag. The religiose like to apply their universal revealed morality on everyone, but we are playing vocab.

psycho+path = mental+suffering/disease.

socio+path = society+suffering/feeling = one who is hostile to society.

Anyone not a sociopath is a normie. Please don’t let MSM define the teams. Normies may be amoral or immoral. Sociopaths have plenty of ‘moral’ reason to be sociopaths, if you wish to believe in morality.

If I may respectfully disagree….
Sociopaths are not amoral. they know what they are doing is wrong and do it anyways.
Psychopaths are amoral. They think everything they do is right.

Stucky, you can’t be rational with the irrational. Why do you cast your pearls before swine? Tear at their narrative psyches. Either they are torn down and become less powerful to set social norms (which hurt you) or they get enough psychic pain to change and embrace their rational capacities as the home of their self-identities (not likely). However, you might steer some young lurker man in the right direction. Talk to the locus of control, which is usually subconscious and either emotions or instincts. These are not humans you are conversing with. Do not set that example for those you are trying to reach. Your initial comment was right on. You logic is impeccable, but that does not help your argument. The first response works best alone, no distractions. Sometimes it is best to let the little minds get the last word.

Cops probably have a lot in common with school teachers: they start out with good intentions but after awhile they get good and tired of all the crap they have thrown at them from darn near every direction, plus all the union propaganda turns them into ineffective public servants.

Who protects and promotes illegal laws and profligate politicians? Who throws senile old ladies down and dislocates their shoulders and then brags about it? Who flashbangs babies in cribs? Who kills old men for not wearing masks? Who kills old men in nursing homes? Who kills men crawling in hotel hallways, begging for their lives? Who gets their pension after killing men crawling in hallways?

Copfuks is correct. The few who are decent are anomalies. Remember, it is the cops who enforce all those Covid lockdowns, it’s the cops who confiscate guns and it is the cops who enforce illegal laws and shoot unarmed women.
Cops are loyal to the pension and the paycheck and they have an us vs. them attitude. I don’t condone criminals in any way but when the laws and ‘lawmakers’ make all of us criminals then perhaps we should take a long and jaundiced view of cops.

Your standard issue cuck horsecrap is deadly poison, Doctor de Vaca. The ‘natural selection’ for police officers who uphold incorporated sovereignty removes people who care about policy and empowers base men who should be failures in life, men who don’t care about policy or its systematic effects. Those base men enjoy killing with impunity. Are you even paying attention? No, you are a kept produce. You are mentally disgusting.

Was he asked or told to put his gun down? Was he even still holding his gun?

I find it hard to believe that a guy who just shot a guy who had just shot a cop, would refuse to drop his weapon when other officers showed up.

The other officer showed up, MIS-identified the threat, and then instantly drew and fired. Until I see facts showing otherwise, that’s the only scenario that makes sense.

I advised against this scenario on this site IIRC. This was likely not the first time and will not be the last time. The police are their to maintain state sovereignty. The people are a product and property of incorporated authority. Like I said more recently, become politically invisible and let the enemy coalition kill each other.

Rule number one for cops…..SHOOT FIRST, SHOOT A LOT and TO HELL WITH THE COLLATERAL DAMAGE. No need to verify your target or what’s behind it.
You are protecte by the legal insanity called “qualified immunity”.
