The Mystery Plague That Is Killing Countless Birds In 9 States And Washington D.C. Has Gotten A Lot Worse

Large numbers of birds are dropping dead from a “mystery disease” throughout much of the eastern half of the country, and scientists still have absolutely no idea why this is happening.  They have tested the dead birds for a whole host of known illnesses, but those tests have not revealed the cause of this plague.  We are being told that a lot of the affected birds appear to develop neurological problems, and many of them go completely blind before they finally die.  The “mystery disease” has spread to more states since I first wrote about this plague, and at this point the list of affected areas includes Washington D.C., Virginia, Maryland, West Virginia, Kentucky, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana.  If authorities are unable to find a solution, will this plague eventually spread across the entire nation?

I don’t know why the mainstream media is not giving this story more coverage, because this is quickly turning into a major crisis.

The following comes directly from a statement that was posted late last week on the official website of the USGS

In late May, wildlife managers in Washington D.C., Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and Kentucky began receiving reports of sick and dying birds with eye swelling and crusty discharge, as well as neurological signs. More recently, additional reports have been received from Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Indiana. While the majority of affected birds are reported to be fledgling common grackles, blue jays, European starlings and American robins, other species of songbirds have been reported as well. No definitive cause(s) of illness or death have been determined at this time. No human health or domestic livestock and poultry issues have been reported.

The natural resource management agencies in the affected states and the District of Columbia, along with the National Park Service, are continuing to work with diagnostic laboratories to investigate the cause(s) of this event. Those laboratories include the USGS National Wildlife Health Center, the University of Georgia Southeastern Cooperative Wildlife Disease Study, the University of Pennsylvania Wildlife Futures Program and the Indiana Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory.

With each passing day, more birds are going blind and more birds are dying.

In Virginia, an animal control professional named Jennifer Toussaint will never forget the first time that she encountered baby blue jays that had been afflicted by this mysterious illness

Jennifer Toussaint, chief of animal control in Arlington, Virginia, can’t forget the four baby blue jays. In late May, worried residents had delivered the fledglings to her clinic just outside of Washington, D.C., within just a few hours. Each was plump, indicating “their parents had done a great job caring for them,” Toussaint says. But the birds were lethargic, unable to keep their balance, and blinded by crusty, oozing patches that had grown over their eyes.

Toussaint and her staff soon reached a gloomy diagnosis: the jays were the latest victims of a mysterious deadly disease that had emerged in their area just a few weeks earlier and had already killed countless wild birds. There was no known treatment, so they euthanized the jays. “It was difficult to feel so helpless,” Toussaint recalls.

Experts have never seen anything like this before, and they are in a race to try to find some answers.

Whatever is causing this, it appears to be affecting a wide range of species

Several species of birds have been affected by the mystery illness, according to the University of Pennsylvania: blue jay, European starling, common grackle, American robin, northern cardinal, house finch, house sparrow, Eastern bluebird, red-bellied woodpecker, Carolina chickadee, and Carolina wren.

And at this point, the “mystery disease” appears to have spread very widely.

For example, in the state of Virginia there have been confirmed reports “in the counties and cities of Alexandria, Arlington, Clarke, Fairfax, Falls Church, Fauquier, Frederick, Loudoun, Manassas, Prince William, Shenandoah, Warren, and Winchester.”

In Indiana, cases have now been identified in 53 different counties.

So if this is something that is spreading from bird to bird, it is spreading very easily and it is spreading very rapidly.

But at this point we don’t know for sure that it is some sort of a disease, because so far all of the tests that have been done haven’t come up with much of anything….

Natural resource management agencies in all of the affected states and D.C. are working with the National Park Service to investigate this event.

So far, several infectious agents have not been detected in any of the birds that have been tested, including Salmonella and Chlamydia, avian influenza, West Nile virus and other flaviviruses, Newcastle disease virus and other paramyxoviruses, herpesviruses and poxviruses, and Trichomonas parasites.

Something other than a disease could potentially be causing this plague.

We just don’t know.

At one point it was being theorized that eating cicadas was causing these birds to become ill, but scientists appear to have ruled this theory out

But the cicadas appear to be blameless. Birds tend to avoid eating fungus-ridden cicadas, and sick birds have been observed in areas where cicadas were rare. “It does not look like it’s a match,” says Brian Evans, a migratory bird ecologist with the Smithsonian’s National Zoo and Conservation Biology Institute.

So many strange things have been happening in 2021.

As I discussed yesterday, right now we are witnessing a horrifying plague of grasshoppers in the western half of the country, and at the same time we have a nightmarish plague of dead birds in the eastern half of the country.

On top of everything else, we are right in the midst of a “megadrought” which may end up becoming the worst in the entire history of our nation.

Many believe that it is just a “coincidence” that so many bad things are happening to us all at once, and perhaps they are correct.

But nobody can deny that our world has gotten a whole lot crazier over the last couple of years, and I expect quite a bit more craziness during the second half of 2021.

5G??? Fewer Carolina Chickadees here in Beaufort County, SC this year but a big uptick in migratory Painted Buntings. We have a seed feeder in the front and backyard (my office is there). Scattered seed on our patio attracts Mourning Doves en masse.

Here in Harney County, there’s a distinct drop in insect, bird and small animal population. Actually more of a freefall off of a cliff. Even the vermin-types are far less prevalent.
As a side note –
See the low-density county in Oregon, at the southeast corner? That’s me, right square in the middle of it.
Gotta love low-density.

I’m right next to you in Malheur, have also noticed a distinct lack of common garden birds, even magpies are not as prevalent. On a lighter note, did you see the massive chemtrails early friday morning on the Memorial Day weekend about 6 am from about Baker City to Emmett ID..

Howdy.
I see massive chem-trails so often they’re starting to become background noise. Been going on for several years now. I still get pissed occasionally, but there’s not much I can do about it. About the time we get decent clear skies, here comes the trails.

Tallahassee Fl area over the last 20 years (esp the last 10) has had a cliff dive of insects, birds and small animals; there are almost none left; and chem trails constantly blanket the sky. There is little need to spray for insect pests although mosquitoes and yellow flies etc get awful in the wet season due to the Environmental Communist regulations outlawing the construction of ponds (with minnows of course) in low areas.

Michael Snyder is a nut case! I first saw his articles in dcclothesline back in 14 0r 15 he had us in world war III in 2015……………he predicted this in late October 14 or early November 14. He has to go from site to site because he’s a nut case…………….if ZeroHedge keeps publishing his articles I’ll probable drop them too…………

It dang sure feels like it. Clearly, we’re seeing some crazy stuff going on. For those without hell to pay, there is a glorious day coming! Paul exhorts us to comfort one another with these words…

1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 KJB… “But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”

The day of glorification, the translation of the church which is His body. And then, hell on earth. Christ paid it all friends, the sin debt gone forever. Our instructions today are to trust in that fact alone. Please, study Romans 1-8 before it’s too late. Time grows short. Grace and peace…

You just can’t — really really really and truly — engage in ANY conversation about ANY topic without throwing in a Bible verse. (Even though you know probably 98% don’t read it.)

—“Honey, lets fuck like wild dogs tonight!”

— “Well, snookums, according to 3 Hezekiah 4:13, “dogs are accursed by God blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah” so, I prefer we fuck like lions because scripture says lions blah blah blah blah …”

— “Jesus Christ! Just forget about it!!”

You are surely some kind of pre-programmed robot. “MUST. POST. BIBLE. VERSE.”

You ain’t normal. Really. Normal people don’t do this. Normal Christians don’t do this. You should seek counseling.

That population map is misleading. It has Montana almost all in light green while I know many areas are deserted for MANY MANY miles (for one, think of Canadian border especially in NW). They must take the nearest town and extrapolate, although there are no big towns at all.
I believe world population stats are wrong, although the US stats seemed okay overall, it’s just the hype that is fake in US. People have done their own studies.

Our bird population seems good but I hate that they may be mass dying. Chemtrails are part of it most probably. Also probably something to do with increasing EMF’s. Have you noticed th lack of wildlife/birds around bird killing wind farms? What a sick invention. One reason I am not libertarian. I don’t think huge wind/solar farms should be allowed as they affect everything else. Personal use is different.

I saw a cardinal with this crusty eye crap and a mottled coat in the spring. He looked sick as hell but did attract a mate. When I first saw him I though he was some sort of escaped tropical bird. Looked pinkish orange.

Have LOTS of other healthy birds around, especially house finches and crows.

Fewer hummingbirds than average.

My exact location is secret, but I can disclose this is New England hereabouts.

We seem to have the normal number of birds this year in W TN. Lots of cardinals, mockingbirds, bluejays and I have never seen so many hummingbirds at our feeders. The Canadian geese are out of control. I saw one pair with 7 babies and another with 5.

Could it have something to do with 5G? We don’t have it out here, yet.

The weakened magnetosphere would allow in more radiation, which would/could be hitting birds harder than land based animals, especially since they have a smaller mass and hollow bones.
Of course it may also be affecting small land based animals, but they wouldn’t be falling out of the sky, so we wouldn’t notice them to the same degree.
And of course the weakening magnetosphere would expose the magma of the earth to potentially liguifying from a solar event, resulting in a”2012″ style Pole shift scenario. So the birds may be the least of our worries.

I doubt 5g has anything to do with it, but I admit I have no idea. I’ve avoided the whole thing because it seems like ‘chemtrails.’ But we don’t have 5g here either I assume.

We have tons of birds and bugs here as well. Every year is a little different.

I have no ide either but the overlap of the most densely 5-G’ed areas and the list of the bird issues is a single circle Venn diagram.

We have had way more birds this year than ever before and we usually have a bunch, but then I can’t hear my wife half a mile down the road on a cell phone either, so there’s that.

I truly hate commenting on a Snyder article because he is a total dick, who is wrong about 90% of the time.

Dying Birds (good name for a rock band) seems to be legit.

However, various articles are pushing fear and bullshit. Several claim it’s due to global warming. Ugh!! Others say birds are the canary-in-the-gold-mine and that whatever they have could spread to humans. Be afreaid … VERY afraid!!

On the positive side, no one has blamed White Supremacy. Yet.

As a side note, lying Snyder says the die off is happening in NJ. Well, not in my yard. Tons of birds, as much as ever.

Yesterday morning we had a visit from a ground cuckoo. I’ve only seen four the whole time we lived here. They are very skittish by nature, and most times they beep beep on down the road at the slightest attention being paid to them.

This fella was bigger than I’d ever seen and acting king of weird. First, he wasn’t scared of the dog and I, as we sat 30 feet away. He began to bob back and forth, while staring at us. After a bit of that he stretched out his wings one at a time almost like an Indian hoop dancer going back and forth.

After thinking about it, it reminded me of our chickens, how they lay on their side and stretch out one wing at a time, just before a dirt bath, almost like they’re showing off. It was really the coolest thing.
