George Washington, a young Virginia planter, becomes a Master Mason, the highest basic rank in the secret fraternity of Freemasonry. The ceremony was held at the Masonic Lodge No. 4 in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Washington was 21 years old and would soon command his first military operation as a major in the Virginia colonial militia.
Freemasonry evolved from the practices and rituals of the stonemasons’ guilds in the Middle Ages. With the decline of European cathedral building, “lodges” decided to admit non-stonemasons to maintain membership, and the secret fraternal order grew in popularity in Europe. In 1717, the first Grand Lodge, an association of lodges, was founded in England, and Freemasonry was soon disseminated throughout the British Empire. The first American Mason lodge was established in Philadelphia in 1730, and future revolutionary leader Benjamin Franklin was a founding member.
There is no central Masonic authority, and Freemasons are governed locally by the order’s many customs and rites. Members trace the origins of Masonry back to the erecting of King Solomon’s Temple in biblical times and are expected to believe in the “Supreme Being,” follow specific religious rites, and maintain a vow of secrecy concerning the order’s ceremonies. The Masons of the 18th century adhered to liberal democratic principles that included religious toleration, loyalty to local government, and the importance of charity. From its inception, Freemasonry encountered considerable opposition from organized religion, especially from the Roman Catholic Church.
For George Washington, joining the Masons was a rite of passage and an expression of his civic responsibility. After becoming a Master Mason, Washington had the option of passing through a series of additional rites that would take him to higher “degrees.” In 1788, shortly before becoming the first president of the United States, Washington was elected the first Worshipful Master of Alexandria Lodge No. 22.
Many other leaders of the American Revolution, including Paul Revere, John Hancock, the Marquis de Lafayette, and the Boston Tea Party saboteurs, were also Freemasons, and Masonic rites were witnessed at such events as Washington’s presidential inauguration and the laying of the cornerstone of the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C.–a city supposedly designed with Masonic symbols in mind. Masonic symbols, approved by Washington in the design of the Great Seal of the United States, can be seen on the one-dollar bill. The All-Seeing Eye above an unfinished pyramid is unmistakably Masonic, and the scroll beneath, which proclaims the advent of a “New Secular Order” in Latin, is one of Freemasonry’s long-standing goals. The Great Seal appeared on the dollar bill during the presidency of Franklin D. Roosevelt, also a Mason.
Freemasonry has continued to be important in U.S. politics, and at least 15 presidents, five Supreme Court chief justices, and numerous members of Congress have been Masons. Presidents known to be Masons include Washington, James Monroe, Andrew Jackson, James Polk, James Buchanan, Andrew Johnson, James Garfield, William McKinley, Theodore Roosevelt, William Howard Taft, Warren Harding, Franklin Roosevelt, Harry Truman, Lyndon Johnson, and Gerald Ford. Today there are an estimated two million Masons in the United States.

Just another example of It’s a Big Club and You Ain’t In It!
“There is no central Masonic authority.”
How can you be sure? It’s a secret society. As you ascend the degrees, who knows what might be revealed? Are there secret degrees? What secrets might they hold?
John 3:20 For everyone that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
This is my first time posting on this subject. I’ve been a Master Mason for over 20 years. I’ve been in both Scottish Rite and York Rite (Christian Masonry). All masonry is, is a fraternity. That’s it. There is nothing nefarious about it. No matter what anyone says, I’ve never seen it or experienced it. Without masonry and regardless of what’s become of this country now, we wouldn’t have a Republic without Masonry. So if you’re glad you are an American citizen, Thank a Mason! If you want to get in an argument. Bring it.
I tried masonry once. Did some major repairs on concrete steps. Although far from perfect, it was acceptable … especially for a very first timer. Don’t know what the big deal is.
My boss at my second computer job (NAVL), his name was Joe Mason. Swear to God, not kidding. He was kind of a dick. But I know you’re not talking about that kind of mason.
Lastly, the thing I like best about masons is that they make AWESOME jars.
Curious… what is NAVL – free dictionary says it’s either North American Van Lines or Noninvasive Assisted Ventilation of the Lungs. Which is it?
It’s North American Van Lines, headquartered in Fort Wayne, IN.
I was a computer programmer. Joe Mason was the Systems Analyst. He would write up the program specs … and they were almost always clear as mud, and when I’d question him he’d get all huffy … like a real dick.
Thanks. “get all huffy” as well as project directors pushing a impossible deadline on us programmers back in the day… Have a nice one. Well it’s tea time here (mostly bourbon, okay all bourbon no tea).
It’s that thing you contemplate
Stuck, I like you, man. No beef. I figured you would respond in that way. I’m just an over 21, white and free man trying to make it in this world.
Aren’t we all!
Looks like the shit throwing monkeys on TBP didn’t have any mercy on you … even though that was your first post.
Don’t let it bother you. You only need 17,239 more down votes to catch up to me.
Saying something is NOT a conspiracy sets off a feeding frenzy like hungry piranhas who haven’t eaten in a month. EVERYTHING is a conspiracy!! Got it?
Got it, man. Not my first post, but I was feeling a little saucy today. N9 where near your caliber. Someone in Texas, loves you Stucky! 😉 Have a great day, bud!
“Looks like the shit throwing monkeys on TBP didn’t have any mercy on you … even though that was your first post.”
3 comments and 4 downvotes is no mercy. Only to a pussy like stucky.
Stucky polished your knob so now you love him. How brokeback.
I can’t quit you…
Masonry is something you get better at with practice.
Honestly … if Masons are a secret society, then the last thing I would expect is for a Mason to say — “Oopsey, we got caught. Yeah, we are a secret society!”
A denial, such as you gave, is exactly what one would expect.
I don’t wanna argue. I’ve done about zero research into Da Masons. And I don’t expect that to change any time soon.
The Masons of 18th century have nothing in common with those of later days until present. In my research about Templar I came across numerous readings about the original Masons and I can tell they were totally different of what we can see today. Just to say some of the most brilliant mind of the 17th century were Masons including Sir Isaac Newton Alexander Pope and Edmund Burke.
But if you can believe that the US government have been hijacked by globalists marxists it could be the same for Freemasonry.
Being ‘secret’ connotes a certain cache’ and generates interest and maybe a yearning… just cause people wanna feel special…like being accepted to fraternities (Skull and Bones at Yale), or the Schutzstaffel. Just sayin
“No matter what anyone says, I’ve never seen it or experienced it.”
That’s nice dear.
Thanks for posting anonymous, Douche bag
I guess we’re to take your word for it. You may believe what you’re selling but thousands wouldn’t.
AWESOME second post !!!!
Here you go …. make sure to watch it all ….
I’ve seen. All bullshit
Fact filled answer. Great second post.
((( ))) 🙂
Hmmm …. the words of Albert Pike … an illustrious mason leader … lucifer is their god. All bs. … as you say. All well documented …. well documented in the video link above.
That’s the norm here now motley. Don’t have facts? No problem, just go Alinsky with lots of ridicule and ad hominem. Works like a charm on all the dim bulbs here masquerading as intellectuals and grownups.
Of course it is a “fraternity.” Of course….you are one of (((them))), whether you know it or not. Ask the poster AP, who has selflessly dedicated his entire mind and soul to revealing (((them))) so that you can worship his deity; Bloodlust. ;0
Sensible and like… of course….
If you want to get in an argument. Bring it
This guy has a good argument against becoming a Moron…
Shit!! There’s 23 minutes of my life I’ll never get back.
He says he was “surprised” that a large donation was required. I think he’s full of shit. Hard to believe someone could be in an organization that long, and be just short of the pinnacle, and simultaneously claim “surprise”. Not to mention that you could find that info out in five minutes on the net.
Notice it’s “a Supreme Being”, NOT necessarily the God of the Bible … although it could be. Notice, “DIFFERENT religions”, … Christianity, or anything else.
Again, I think he’s full of shit. Why didn’t he quit when he FIRST became a Christian? Why did he play the game until he was just short of the pinnacle? He’s suddenly so dedicated to Jesus … but, where the hell was all that dedication for years prior?
I am neither neither endorsing or condemning Masons. I just smells a rat in that entire “testimony”.
Above quote from this article ….
In the 1890s the Most
Reverend Johann Gabriel Leon Louis Meurin, Titular Archbishop of Nisibis
and Bishop of Port-Louis (Mauritius) wrote that “everything in Freemasonry is
fundamentally Jewish, exclusively Jewish, enthusiastically Jewish, from the
beginning to the end” (Meurin 1893: 260).
Freemasonry is the handmaiden of Kabbalistic Judaism.
Yawn
Wow. Your rebuttals have convinced me.
Hence my earlier revelation that GW was a crypto jooo.
I was in a frat…we had a handshake…followed by a beer .
Exactly
Geo Washington was a crypto joooo and his leading a bloody revolution (Such unbelievable misery) against King George, a divine Monarch (Thx King Henry), proves poster AP’s revelations about (((them))). Ima believer, finally. Eternally grateful to AP, a leader…a virtual pantheon of pathology. ;o
George was a “crypto joooo”??
You either forgot the /s or, you enjoy flinging some shit around this afternoon.
Stucky, Stucky, Stuck…Ima trying to reach out to a an illustrious segment of our ‘community.’ ;0
A P is not even involved in this thread. What is all the hate about? Did he embarrass you?
AP is always involved in this thread. That was the point. Hate? Not even worthy of my hate. Mockery
The philosopher Baruch Spinoza took a dim view of mockery, contending that it rests “upon a false opinion and proclaim[s] the imperfection of the mocker”. He reasoned that either the object of the mockery is not ridiculous, in which case the mocker is wrong in treating it in such a way, or it is ridiculous, in which case mockery is not an effective tool for improvement. Though the mocker reveals that they recognize the imperfection, they do nothing to resolve it using good reason.[12][13] Writing in his Tractatus Politicus, Spinoza declared that mockery was a form of hatred and sadness “which can never be converted into joy”.[13]
Catholic Bishop Francis de Sales, in his 1877 Introduction to the Devout Life, decried mockery as a sin:
But as derision or mockery are never without scoffing, therefore it is a very great sin; so that divines are right in saying that mockery is the worst kind of offence a man can be guilty of against his neighbour by words; for other offences may be committed with some esteem for the party offended, but this is committed with scorn and contempt.[14]
No point to be made. Not even a little bit… well maybe a little bit.
Early Deep State.
Not sure if anyone here has watched “The Curse of Oak Island” about the supposed treasure buried on this small island in Mahone Bay Nova Scotia. It is the source of the phase “Money Pit” as folks since the late 1700s have been pouring money down many, many holes on the island over the years, hoping to find the treasure. One of them was a young FDR, and plenty of Masons have been involved (including FDR). One of the dozens of theories is that the treasure was deposited by the Knights Templar maybe as far back as the 1200s or 1300s (possibly when they needed to flee to avoid persecution). Possibly some of the treasure might be the Ark of the Covenant, the Holy Grail, or the Gold Minorah of Soloman’s Temple taken when they were stationed in the Holy Land during the Crusades. The Templars have an associated history with what became the masons, and one of the guys that has been not only giving tours on the island for decades but also actively involved in the digging operations, frequently wears a baseball cap with the masonic symbol of the compass and “G” on it while on the show. Seems like they have been putting eyes on the dig for as long as it has been going on. It will be interesting to see if anything is actually found or if any of us get to actually know what it is….given their historical secrecy.
If the Mason’s really are a secret society then I expect the FBI has already infiltrated them and set Ole’ George up for hammering the French and Indians, and we should be hearing about it any day now….
Don’t forget Washington’s Egyptian phallic monument, the largest in the world. All the Revolutionary and Civil War memorials have them too. And that great Masonry author and historian Manly P. Hall.
