That’s what my work is telling me. Bow the knee and raise the sleeve, or else.

Hmm…I guess the first line on an Indeed ad will be ” Must Be Vaccinated ” .

So TBP folks what are some alternatives to working for the man ?

I’m hoping to get a job as a Bourbon taste tester or an ammo tester if all else fails.

On a funny note back in 1987 when we were going through a recession a friend lost his job. Jobs in rural S.C. were hard to come by so he decided it was time to take the bull by the horns.

He took his john boat to Santee and ran a couple of trot lines. He caught about 400 ponds of cat fish that when cleaned yielded about 225 pounds of fish.

He set up a canopy, had a scale and placed his sign out front of a busy highway. The sign read ” Buck Naked Catfish ” .
The catfish was $1.25 a pound.
He sold out in about 4 hours.

He continued selling out each day when he was set up He was netting 200 bucks most days…a nice sum in 1987 .
Once the recession was over and a job opened up he stopped the business but every now and again you’d see the sign on the highway……Buck Naked Catfish .

Funny you should say that Bucked: MGP is a major distiller and one of my former clients. They had an opening in their lab, and one of the duties is organoleptic testing of distillate, namely tasting vodkas and Gin. Unfortunately, they do not manufacture and a bourbon at the Atchison, Kansas plant, but I do believe they make a ton in Indiana.

Being in automotive for many MANY years there is a first step in repair. From replacing an engine to doing a timing belt or replacing a PCM the first step has always been. ” Remove negative battery cable “.

It is a touchstone they we can expect to see. History. always been this way.

I think this is going to change soon. Based on the CDC recommendations for HURRICANE prep. It was on the web site. How to prepare for a HURRICANE.

Step 4 was ” prepare to evactuate ”

Step 1? Get a Covid ” vax ”

So I expect the first step for replacing a drive axle in my escape will be to ” get a covid vax “

I saw the light 14 years ago and moved to middle of nowhere. I’ve worked for myself ever since. I guess since I’m in charge and the only employee I won’t be firing myself any time soon. They may be able to shut my business down but then I’ll be 3 years early to retirement and we’ll make do. Just have to raise enough cash to pay my annual tribute to the state.

Ah yes, the Silence of the Sheep.

Wife is about to lose her eye care tech job after 14 years in the field. Corporate has declared that anyone who does not get the jab within 3 weeks of the FDA approval will in effect be resigning. That’s a stinker move if there ever was.

But oops, too bad, the one vaxxed tech working there put in her resignation today. The other 3 techs are the unvaxxed in the office. Squeeze them all out of a job and there is nobody to work up the patients. Admins are not trained. Office has been trying for over a year to find an experienced tech, but at the low pay and no raises they offer, there are no takers. Corporate will not allow the state mandate of “either vaxxed or weekly testing”, for them it’s vaxxed only. Doesn’t matter if you already have acquired immunity.

I wish I could kit her out in a Handmaid’s Tale outfit for her last days on the job. Because these workers are now essentially whores, with no control about which prick gets stuck in their body. “My body, boss’s choice”.

Yeah, if you stick something in me and it shoots a load of liquid into me unwantedly, isn’t that rape?

Legally speaking, no.
It is not sexual penetration.
The best you can do is Assault.
Metaphorically speaking, I’ll allow it.
