I’m way to old to riot against the police. It hurts to much. I would be up to following them home and publishing their address. The police need to be educated so they understand which members of the public they should fear.
The woke elected officials and judged really needs to be taken aside and properly educated.
This is happening even though the cops shut down public transport, set up blockades and harassed people to try and stop the protests even happening. The crowds would be far larger otherwise. In Sydney there were hundreds of cops, helicopters and road blocks heading towards the city to ensure that people couldn’t even get to the protest site. Since the road network is shit it is pretty easy for the cops to do this.
Over recent weeks those cops and helicopters have been harassing the ethnic areas in Western Sydney to enforce compliance with the health orders and “stop the spread” (while the woke liberal crowd, who all cram into rented apartments near the beach, are allowed to do as they please). They get redeployed to the city area every time there is a sniff of a protest.
One could conclude that the only thing more dangerous than Covid in Australia is freedom.

In answer to the tweet question, obviously not. All lessons learned there will be applied here. There was no animosity toward the police. The rule breakers simply want to be left alone. Still not getting it, and the title of OP is clearly incorrect. Those police officers will regroup and have additional measures in place. The escalation fear keeps everyone in line.
