For what it is worth, weirdness department.
The very last episode of the original black and white Perry Mason is about having a real firearm used for killing someone on a movie set. It was called ”The Case Of The Final Fadeout”. It actually had Erle Stanley Gardner on it as a judge, who of course wrote all the Perry Mason books from the late 1930s on. These books are actually pretty good and read even today.
