Teen Diagnosed With Guillain-Barré Syndrome After COVID Vaccine Thankful She Wasn’t Paralyzed and Didn’t Die

Via Children’s Health Defense

Shelby Allen, who lives in Dyer County, Tennessee, said she started experiencing back pain and tingling in her arms a few weeks ago at a wedding.

A 17-year-old hospitalized with Guillain-Barré syndrome (GBS) — a condition she developed after receiving a COVID vaccine — said she’s thankful she isn’t paralyzed and didn’t die.

Shelby Allen, who lives in Dyer County, Tennessee, said she started experiencing back pain and tingling in her arms a few weeks ago at a wedding. Her symptoms progressed until she found herself unable to feel her arms and legs while bowling with her school’s team.

“I’m on the bowling team in Dyer County, and I noticed when I was throwing the ball, I couldn’t feel my arm and legs,” Allen said. “So, I was freaking out.”

Her parents took her to a doctor in Jackson, Tennessee, where she was diagnosed with GBS. She was admitted to the ICU at Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital for treatment.

“When we got in, my doctor … told me right off the bat what she thought it was. She said ‘you have Guillain-Barré,’” Allen said.

Dr. Nick Hysmith, the medical director of infection prevention at Le Bonheur, said GBS is where “the body’s immune system gets a little bit confused and targets your nerve cells, and that leads to weakness.”

He said the adverse reaction is “extremely rare” and advised people to still get vaccinated.

According to the Mayo Clinic, initial symptoms of GBS include weakness and tingling in the extremities. The symptoms can spread quickly, eventually paralyzing the whole body.

People with GBS usually experience their most significant weakness within two weeks after symptoms begin. Most GBS patients require hospitalization.

According to data from the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS), there have been 22 reported cases of GBS in children 12 to 18 years old after they got a COVID vaccine, with 21 of those cases attributed to Pfizer’s vaccine.

Between Dec. 14, 2020, and Oct. 29, 2021, for all age groups, 1,591 cases of GBS were reported to VAERS by people who had recently been vaccinated for COVID.

Allen, who was moved out of the ICU at Le Bonheur, said she is determined to walk at her graduation.

“I should be able to walk and get my diploma in March,” Allen said. “I’ll be graduating high school. I should be able to walk on that stage and I’m determined to do that.”

Allen said she feels blessed. “I could be dead, or I could be paralyzed.”

As The Defender reported Nov. 5, Diane Ochoa, a 63-year-old cancer survivor from Georgia, was diagnosed with GBS and chronic inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy after getting her second Pfizer shot.

In an exclusive interview, Ochoa said she is outraged after the vaccine injuries left her in “horrific pain,” unable to walk without assistance or provide for herself. Ochoa said she now suffers from injuries “far worse” than what she went through with her cancer treatment.

The Defender has also reported on a Texas teenager diagnosed with GBS a few weeks after his first dose of a COVID vaccine.

“I wanted to get the vaccine,” said Wyatt McGlaun, a high school senior. “I felt it was the right thing to do. I wanted to travel and enjoy my last summer before college.”

A few weeks after being vaccinated, McGlaun became weak and had difficulty walking. He was admitted to CHI St. Luke’s Health where he was diagnosed with GBS. Although McGlaun said he believed the vaccine was to blame, doctors said it could just be a “coincidence.”

“…the body’s immune system gets a little bit confused…”

All on its own?

These are the words of a practicing physician. These are the people we place our trust in when it comes to our own health. It sounds like something you’d here when a first grade teacher is reading a story to her class.

People are going to have to start taking charge of their own lives because this trust thing isn’t working out.

I still hold that all of this is the result of the breakdown of trust that necessarily happens with heterogeneous societies.

This is what happens when you grant government protection to a cartel that controls every aspect of “healthcare.”

Been coming here for 6 six years. I have broken one my carinal rules in life, “Never comment on the internet”. I’ve had some spare time for the last 2 weeks and thought I would give it a try. My two weeks are almost up. I’m afraid I didn’t leave a very good impression. I’m sure some will be happy to see me go. It was fun though I have to admit. No, I will go back to just reading the outstanding articles from time to time and keep my comments to myself.

Stucky has also had some spare time the last 2 weeks…so you both have something in common. Yes, keep reading and maybe some day you will be an exceptional writer like Stucky. Goals.

Don’t forget to include your full name next time you comment…Go Smack. Usually, you don’t have to re-type your name each time…unless it changes often. Pay closer attention.

Bye for now.

Well thank you, I’m an Engineer by trade, I think I will stick to that. I travel most of the time and make funny looking pictures on my computer when I’m home in Solid Works/Auto CAD. That’s about all I have time for.
Yes, I never did get the hang of how to work the comment section, I guess I didn’t really try, figured it was just a temporary distraction.

Bye, Have fun with your Horses- (I know that from your comments).

I also know someone in Tennessee that had GBS, due to the juice. He wound up considerably worse off, but he’s making a slow recovery, inch by inch. He was in a Nashville area hospital for 3 months. I’ll bet there are thousands, just in Tennessee that you’ve never heard about. Just like the overwhelming multitude of issues around the world the lying ass media helps try and cover up. They are all guilty by association, the ones who aren’t literally guilty of genocide.

shame the children until they comply

from CRT to hallucinatory gender studies to socialism and militant green cultism, schools have become such oppressive factories of dogmatic inculcation as to make pink floyd appear educational optimists.

school choice and an end to using these purported halls of learning as vehicles of indoctrination rather than education is one of the most important issues of our time.

Nah, the kid doesn’t deserve this. She was pressured by her parents, her teachers, her peers, the media, and society in general. Her entire pre-GBS life was spent trapped in a bizarro reverse echo chamber (i.e. where she had to repeat what was fed to her).

It used to be that my give-a-shit-o-meter pegged out at about age 16 with regard to actions and their foreseeable consequences. Lately, though, I’ve edged that right up to 21. Adolescence is intentionally prolonged by all the people that should be fostering adulthood. Kids are kept ignorant, indoctrinated, and infantile for as long as possible.

This is ultimately on the parents …

and fuck them.

Am I an evil piece of shit when I read these stories and just don’t feel bad for the fucktards that take these things? My 11 and 13 year old nephews figured this scam out all by themselves. What excuse does an adult have for falling for this garbage? Like watching fat ass white trash trying to ride pocket rocket motorcycles and inevitably wiping out in a very painful manner, I just shrug and ask “Uh, what the hell did you expect to happen?”

I used to want to save everyone; Now I am comfortable just watching the world burn…

Considering where it happened, was it incompetence or something more sinister? To summarize, over 100 kids were given adult doses in Loudoun VA.

Aldie, VA, which is part of Loudoun County. If they can’t infiltrate the minds of children with CRT bullshit, maybe try something more sinister with the bodies…throwing the thought out here for a friend.

On the other hand, maybe they are just incompetent. One of the articles said they divided the adult dose by 10 and gave it to the kids. Maff skills and all that.

Guillain-Barré syndrome is nothing to take lightly. Four days after receiving the annual influenza immunization in ’98, as I sat at my computer for my morning “surf”, I started feeling tingling in my toes and finger tips. Within two or three hours, it had moved to my ankles and wrists. At that point, hands and feet were completely numb. You cannot imagine how difficult that made walking and handling things. Tactile feedback is something we take for granted and is so ingrained in our physical existence that the loss of it is a shock for which we have no preparation. Novocaine on a grand scale.

Short version: off to my doctor. Luckily he suspected GBS and sent me to the local hospital and the best neurologist/neurosurgeon in town met me at the hospital, did a spinal tap, made the diagnosis, sedated me and started an immunoglobulin drip. I woke up 16 days later on a ventilator. After being de-vented, two or three days later I was moved to a semiprivate room for recovery. It was all uphill after that. Lucky sumbitch, me.

I spent a week in physical therapy then went home and continued physical therapy as an outpatient for three weeks. I walked with a cane for several months but went back to work after a nearly three month absence. I was working for TRW at the time and had excellent medical coverage. At the time I was discharged from the hospital, I was told I would be learning to walk again, probably for a year or two and would probably be in a weakened state for an unknown period of time. But, I beat all those predictions and was back to on my motorcycle in a few months.

The only long term effects are 1) no normal reflex reaction from a below-the-knee tap and 2) I cannot run. Legs just won’t move that fast. The doctor told me that these after-effects are known and expected. I am 74 years old. This all happened 23 years ago. Only other after effect I recall was a hyper-sensitive sense of taste. ‘Had to stay on a bland diet for a few weeks. My doctor (and the neurologist) told me to NEVER take another flu vaccine, so I am damn sure not taking any of these offered today. As if there weren’t reason enough already.

Yeah, when I heard the news descriptions of the Zika virus in 2016 and now with the SARS COV 2 (COVID 19), news about people with GBS … it got my immediate attention and I took out my lucky quarter again. It always comes up “heads”.

As we move through this and learn about these vaccines, even in my age group I’ll take my 94.X% chances with the virus, thank you very much.

By the way, “… the body’s immune system gets a little bit confused …” was explained to me this way: There is a protective sheath of fat and protein called “myelin”, found in our nerve bundles. Demyelation is apparently the primary dysfunction involved with the onset of Guillian Barre` Syndrome. This demyelation in the central nervous system is extremely bad juju. That’s why a ventilator is normally used.

https://www.verywellhealth.com/myelin-sheath-4129059

All this said, I think myocarditis may potentially be a much worse fate and there is no good story here, except survival, however you need to get there.

I don’t normally go into detail abut this experience, but given the topic and my expectation that this group could hang with the story, I thought I’d take the opportunity to share an experience you might want to avoid if possible. Adequate levels of vitamin B12 is apparently one avoidance measure.

Thank you for sharing. Absolutely more people need to see this. You know this whole covid thing is only the beginning for the NEW WORLD ORDER. We are being trained to obey. There are LOTS of professional people, like Dr. Bryan Ardis, Michael Yeadon, Dr Sucharit Bhakdi, Dr. Peter Breggin , Dr. Peter McCullough, who know what is really going on.
