I worked at a furniture showroom/warehouse back in my 20’s. You’d be surprised by the number of idiots (men and women) who showed up with compact cars trying to pick up huge mattresses, bar units, dressers etc. thinking they’d fit inside. It was amazing.
We had a building supply place nearby. It never failed, at lease once per weekend idiots would try to drive home with a stack of plywood on their car, without tie downs. Driver and passenger would reach up and try to hold the sheets down. Some idiots even bottomed out their suspensions with the weight. About halfway to the 50mph speed limit, the sheets would peel off like a stack of cards in a hurricane. Fun to watch but dangerous to be around.
