Have a friend who was a fairly large figure in the music scene in the 60s, 70s and 80s. He worked closely with Bill Graham. We were talking about the Joe Rogan thing this past weekend, and he said most, including other artists and acts thought Young was a self-absorbed prick. He said nobody wanted to work with him.
He always came across that way publicly.
With any luck, this will start to wind down the cult of celebrities shooting their mouth off on subjects beyond their expertise. eg. Brad Pitt’s disastrous home-building virtue signaling in NOLA. Neil had some good songs back in the day but he is a commie authoritarian…..go home Neil.
