Let’s start with Herman Feldstein. Mr. Feldstein, your comment that only 5,999,999 Jews were killed in the Holocaust is the most anti-Semitic statement I’ve ever heard from a Jew. How do you justify it? Did you not count Moishe Applebaum?
I’m seeing a lot of this “holocaust” tripe on the internet lately. Did I miss another Holocaust Remembrance Day again, or are they just ratchetting it up lately?
The alleged events were before my time, but these reports reminded my of a more recent, related event: the 2015 trial of the notorious “bookkeeper of Auschwitz”, Oskar Groening for… something or other. Not sure what he is supposed to have done, but apparently it didn’t matter.
At the trial, the star witness was a woman who claimed to have been born in Auschwitz. She claimed that Dr Josef Mengele (“The Angel of Death”) performed “sterilisation experiments” on her mother, apparently not realising, before, during or after, that she was already seven months’ pregnant, and never checking the results of his experiments. Anyway, she was born and raised in secret by the inmates. And now she wants revenge. Because it’s all the bookkeeper’s fault.
I ask you, with tears in my eyes, how can this crap, even if it were all true, be evidence in a real trial? It’s nothing but hearsay. She’s testifying to events that allegedly happened before she was born. Prosecutors, defence and judge all know that’s not permissible. How is this trial not corrupt?
So, yes, I take a jaundiced view of this holy myth.
