Watch: Putin Warns West With Launch Of Nuclear-Capable Hypersonic Missiles

Via ZeroHedge

Russia’s President Vladimir Putin sat beside his Belarussian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko in a command center on Saturday to oversee large-scale Russian strategic nuclear exercises. As we detailed previously, the drills typically take place in the fall, but were moved up to Saturday in a bit of serious muscle-flexing directed at NATO. The drills included the successful test launch of a Zircon hypersonic missile and other nuclear-capable ballistic missiles.

Russia hit sea and land-based targets with ballistic and cruise missiles on Saturday as part of strategic nuclear exercises overseen by President Vladimir Putin and his Belarusian counterpart, the Kremlin said,” Reuters reports.

Additionally The Wall Street Journal based on local sources detailed that “A combination of ballistic and cruise missiles was to be launched as part of the maneuvers, which involved the country’s strategic missile forces and the Black Sea fleet, the Kremlin said, according to Russia’s Defense Ministry television channel, Zvezda.”

“All the missiles hit their targets, confirming their performance objectives,” the Kremlin said in a statement, adding Tupolev Tu-95 bombers and nuclear submarines carried out the drills.

“The main objective of these exercises is to perfect the performance of our strategic offensive forces, with the aim of delivering a guaranteed strike against the enemy,” Russian Gen. Valery Gerasimov told Putin in televised comments.

Russia’s defense ministry was quick to release footage of the launches, also of a ballistic missile from a submarine, in what appears a clear ‘message’ to the West that it stands ready to act against any major NATO provocation.

Some of Saturday’s missile launches and maneuvers were done in the Black Sea.

“During the strategic deterrence force drills, Russia’s Aerospace Force successfully launched Kinzhal hypersonic aeroballistic missiles, the Kremlin’s press office reported,” TASS confirmed just before the footage was made public.

“Warships and submarines of the Northern and Black Sea Fleets conducted launches of Kalibr cruise missiles and a Tsirkon hypersonic missile against naval and ground targets. At the Kapustin Yar proving ground in the Astrakhan Region, an Iskander land-based cruise missile was launched,” the MoD statement added.

Footage of the hypersonic missile being readied…

While recently Ukraine’s Defense Minister said the chances of a major war between Russia and Ukraine remain at “low probability” – fighting along the line of contact in the Donbas is intensifying.

Meanwhile, Putin and Lukashenko were photographed together overseeing the nuclear drills in an unmistakable message…

Come to think of it….while we have so much transport capability in the area, why doesn’t the state department make an offer to the Ukranians. Any of you white Ukranians who want to immigrate to the US…c’mon down.
Here’s our chance to save millions of white people from that e-v-i-l Dr. Putin.

I’ve always suspected that a large part of the Western elite’s – especially the (((elite’s))) – hatred of ethnic Russian/Ukrainian/Slavic people was because of the surplus of beautiful, feminine women.

It will be most unfortunate when Biden pokes the Russian bear too many times and Putin obliterates all air craft carrier ships in the vicinity of the Black Sea with hypersonic missiles. Sounds to me like Putin, another WEF acolyte, is the scorched earth ‘insurance policy’if the ‘peasants’ in the USA start to rise up. Since that ‘Burgermeister Meisterburger’ Klaus Schwab said Putin was a ‘yung gloval weader’, I will assume Putin is WEF compromised until proven otherwise.

Russia and China have a fraction of the navy and airforce that the USA has, but collectively several times more submarine and missile capability, as well as several times the land forces, because they fund defense not offense, like the USA does. JANES put out on the 80s that airforce and navy were obsolete in any 1st order conflict. They were not wrong, it is common sense and missile technology.

Russia and China each have many times more tanks than we do, but these are not offensive weapons as far as the North American continent is concerned, and since they are so hard to move, they really are not a threat to anyone but immediate neighbors, but since they are not conquest weapons in the modern era, they must be seen as defensive.

The USA spends this money on these obsolete systems to impose its dictates on weak countries like a bully, these assets are useless against China and Russia. Less than useless, they are liability. The only the we have against them are nukes, and they have better.

So what to make of all of this? The usual satanic rituals of destruction and seeking affirmation from the wicked and clueless (Russia or China are a domestic threat and not a created one).

On another site I visit (The Saker) there was an interesting comment made about Ukraine having nuclear technology which could be used to create a “dirty bomb” – not for use against Russia which would be suicide, but on thier own territory to deny that part of Ukraine to Russia / the seperatists due to radiation. A sort of modern take on the ancient practice of “salting the earth” to prevent your enemy using it to grow food.

A copy and paste of the comment:

There is a distinct possibility that Ukraine could employ weapons as a last line of defence / weapon of last resort- seriously – but not in the way most people think of nuclear weapons.

Many people think of nuclear weapons as mushroom cloud producing and city destroying devices, but there are many types of “nuclear” weapons that dont produce mushroom clouds or even go off with a big bang.

Ukraine has more than enough material to produce what are called “Radiological” weapons (aka “Dirty Bombs”).

In addition, a nuclear power plant is itself a “Radiological Weapon” if sabotaged or struck by missiles (Chernobyl demonstrates what sabotage could do, and the destruction of Fukishima by natural events highlighted how this level of destruction (both in human and economic terms) could be replicated elsewhere by conventional missile strikes (something Iran regularly reminds Israel about when they talk of air stikes against thier nuclear facilities).

Close (relatively) to the line of contact in Ukraine is the massive “Zaporozhe” nuclear power plant. Neither Ukraine nor Russia would wish to see this plant hit by missiles or sabotaged into meltdown (or its waste vanishing somewhere to be wrapped into an explosive device and detonated inside a city somewhere), but it is vulnerable.

Should Russia manage to route the Ukrainian armed forces it is not beyond reasoning (from a hard military perspective) that some hard-line faction either inside Ukraine or inside NATO (such as the British) could sabotage a nuclear power plant such as Zaporozhe into meltdown in order to deny an area to an enemy for a generation or otherwise cause a region to be unsuitable for human use and occupation.

In ancient times “salting the earth” during a retreat to prevent an enemy planting crops was a genuine military option, as was “scorched earth” up until WW2 (although the US continued this to the Vietnam era).

It is therefore a distinct possibility that Ukraine or another nation could use one or more of Ukraines nuclear reactors to “salt the earth” so to speak, and it is entirely possible that Ukraine could (especially with British and American assistance) create and store safely a small stockpile of highly radioactive material which could be used as a “poor mans nuclear deterant” / weapon of very last resort.

Far fetched? Oh no, this was recognised and discussed as a possibility as far back as 2016, and this “risk” was alluded to again as recently as 2021:

It’s time to prohibit radiological weapons

Reactors such as this are very vulnerable:

Scroll down on this link and consider how a meltdown of this power plant would effect Donbass (and Russia!) by “salting the earth” in that region for at least the next 30 years:

Biden was all hot to trot to fight Saddam who didn’t have the horsepower to defend his country. Now Biden is playing the “Don’t step over the red line” B.S. like his former big-eared boss. Putin laughs at him. Biden’s scared to fight somebody who can match him in the ring. IOW’s, Biden’s a coward. It’s easy to punch a guy in the mouth who’s far less than half your size.

I once, as an apprentice, worked in an aircraft flight test section. The company was testing an air-launched missile, the Skybolt. Now, that’s over 60 years ago, but the major success that the tests found was that the missile disconnected successfully from the aircraft. Tests are tests – until something goes BOOM (deliberately) that’s all they are.
