Synopsis please. Why should I believe what anyone has to say about almost anything?

I can certainly understand the common man much more so than a bobblehead. There’s always an agenda with them. A craftsman, a farmer, heck even a coder has the ability to show his work so all can see, good and bad, the result. Show me, don’t tell me.

Okay.

He said that this is a crisis created by the hegemonic ideology of the West stuck in a 20th century mindset.

He listed each and every single argument that has been articulated by The Narrative in the past week, but he did it in 2015. He stated that the terms that were going to be used to describe Putin would be insane, Hitler, etc., again calling the establishment out nearly a decade in advance. He also stated that there was no difference between administrations or parties, especially as it relates to foreign policy issues. He stated that Russia has no intention of reforming the Soviet Bloc, only that it needed a buffer between NATO and Russia and that NATO was going to continue to build right up to the Russian border whenever and wherever it could until such time as Russia decided it had enough.

In short he called the entire scenario precisely.

I understand that he is a Deep Stater (University of Chicago, Harvard, Woodrow Wilson fellow, etc.) but he appears to be an outsider at least as far as cautioning the behavior as he considers China to be the real challenge for the 21st century and would prefer a focus on that potentiality.

I try and listen to as many people of above average intelligence regardless of their leanings to try and determine what the actual f- is going on. They are comfortable discussing their knowledge and understanding because they believe themselves to be impervious to either correction or dislocation from their perches or power. The very best comments come from the ones who consider themselves smarter or wiser but who are somewhat marginalized or ignored. Then they just blurt this stuff out.

I wouldn’t have posted it if I thought it didn’t have some value.

I wonder if it is possible that this invasion of Ukraine is a ‘twofer’. I agree with your synopsis of why Putin wants that buffer as it makes complete walking around sense too. But, is it possible that he is also doing what the WEC/Deep state wants? More and more information is coming out regarding the exports from Ukraine of various raw materials. One example is that Europe gets 70% of its corn from Ukraine. There is also a big export of wheat.

All I’m saying is that this might be just more of the plan to control the people by controlling the food supply.

I’m not saying anything, Mearsheimer is.

I am inclined to believe that this entire thing is a theater piece and that Putin- due to his repeated association with WEF and Klaus- is simply playing a role, like Trump did, but that’s just an opinion, not a fact.

And as usual, a good measure about the seriousness of your opinion basis is the question:

What would need to happen so you would consider it unlikely that Putin is simply playing a role?

Defeat of the government in Ukraine, full exposure of the dealings with NATO/USA/EU/Biden/etc. as well as televised confessions of senior officials and those associated with the operations posted on various online platforms for the world to see.

At the very minimum.

There exists in the present a common acceptance that no matter what the infraction, anyone above a certain level simply walks away from their culpability with neither punishment, nor condemnation, they simply recycle into a different branch of The Narrative without ever facing accountability.

If it happens again, this time with Russia holding the cards, I’d say it’s a lock that he is just another bought and paid for actor in this global theatre.

They [i.e. the Russians] will hold accountable the people involved in the Donbass shelling and the Odessa building burning people alive, they have clearly announced that.

There are certain indications that Putin wants/wanted as much as possible to hold onto to Zelensky, as the head of a defanged and neutral (western part of?) Ukraine. That makes sense from a “democracy” decriers standpoint; however if Zelensky himself [i.e. without an Ukro Nazi holding a gun to his head] decided to hand out weapons (in Kiev) to every [criminal] that wanted one, I think he needs to be tried an punished just for that stunt.

Show trials are completely pointless, as the Western will spin it into proof of kangaroo courts or similar.

HSF,

Thank you for going through the trouble of responding. I do so appreciate it. Yes, I’m sure you wouldn’t post something you didn’t think has value. You have a very good track record. Once I realized how much time I would need to set aside to watch and absorb it, I clicked stop. I believe the goal of Russia is to buffer against NATO. It seems, to me, to be the most plausible explanation as well. The problem, as you know, is truth. Going down endless rabbit holes still leaves us with doubts.

My problem is, I’m not an academic. Well, maybe that’s a strength.

Neither am I, obviously, but I grew up in an Ivy League town and observed first-hand how these folks operate. The most noticeable features are that they are usually physically weak, and aesthetically unattractive. When you couple that with a higher IQ than average you almost always wind up with some sort of sociopathy that seeks to even the score from childhood. No amount of higher education seems to dilute that solution. The advantage we gain from this is a perpetual struggle for dominance between their peer groups. In the same way healthy young boys and men rough house, these folks ran from that during their early development. You can avoid or sublimate those impulses, but you cannot escape them forever. The species wants you to do what you were designed to do and sooner or later it manifest itself either in a healthy or a toxic form.

This guy is simply doing that, in an open forum- amongst fellow travelers if you listen to the Q&A at the end and I found it tedious, but revealing.

I don’t understand what you’re trying to say. I’ve read his wiki and know a little bit about him from other sources over the years.

Could you be more specific?

(and page 57 is just a list of grants, not an agenda)

Personal life

Mearsheimer lives in Chicago with his wife, Pamela. He has five children.

In 2019, Mearsheimer said his preferred candidate in the Democratic presidential primary was Bernie Sanders.[79] Mearsheimer said that economic inequality was the greatest problem faced by the United States.[79]

Like I fucking said above, try again

Nobody is going to get everything right exactly how you want it. And if

Mearsheimer said that economic inequality was the greatest problem faced by the United States

then he was right

Are you trying to be intentionally obtuse or do you have a point?

What part of that information do you think we are unaware of?

Please cite the point you are trying to make by listing bullet points from his CV.

Day 18 sober and struggling big time.

I just don’t trust anyone these days, especially people who get Rockefeller money. Did something change with the Rockefellers, are they good now?

HSF states : He listed each and every single argument that has been articulated by The Narrative in the past week, but he did it in 2015. He stated that the terms that were going to be used to describe Putin would be insane, Hitler, etc., again calling the establishment out nearly a decade in advance.

Using that logic the same should apply here.

You make it sound like fun instead of work, but I assure you there will be no fun, not on my watch.

Couldn’t Abigail just ride the horse up here? I’ll put him to work too.

HSF and AP,

It DOES sound like fun. A real community/friendship building experience.

If I could make a suggestion…maybe find a cool way of displaying “XXX was here”.

I asked Jim at 10 pm who you were and you were already gone. 🙁 Hopefully this year then (if HSF will have us. Well, I am sure he will have you. I think we overstayed our welcome petting the chicks too much 😉

I am thinking about wearing a T-shirt this year with large letters “I AM STUCKY”.
Think it would be funny? At least it would be an icebreaker.
