I wouldn’t say that an obsession with giving up freedom to gain some measure of safety LEADS to mental illness, but rather it is a sign of a weakness of character related to being brought up as a sheltered and over-protected child who then never had the impetus to be their own person or take responsibility for their own actions.

The culture of participation trophies, never letting kids play in the dirt or ride a bike without a helmet, etc., has been more damaging to a massive number of people in the US than any “dangerous” childhood activity would likely be.

It doesn’t help that our so-called leaders make a habit of never taking any responsibility for their own actions, and blaming others for all the problems they themselves create.

Awesome video. It speaks truth to the core. I have an older brother who every time I saw him talked about how fearful he was of dying. In his 40’s he was afraid of heart attacks. People at my age have heart attacks you know. In his 50’s 60’s 70’s 80’s, it was always something else. He is now 86 and still kicking. I always had the idea that fear is the enemy, and the only thing I was afraid of was not living enough. I moved out of my home state when I was 20 and never looked back. Bro has lived in Illinois for his 86 years. He is the only brother who never visited me in Alaska. So, he is at the extreme end.
I don’t do foolish things that would get me killed, like getting vaxxed. But those who are afraid to live have a major spiritual flaw. I put in my morning contemplation that each and every day is a spiritual blessing and has the potential for wonderful things to happen, and often they do.
Only the bold, courageous, strong and enterprising can have heaven.
Thanks to Stephanie.

Thanks Stephanie, I think the two above comments pretty well covered it. Yes, afraid to live is the greater problem; we will all die, afraid or not, but not everyone lives.

Great video ; much truth there. Plus I love that the illustrator puts a celphone in all the droids hands and a mask on their faces!
