Tremors
Tremors became a video hit after being a box office flop. The eight or ten sequels, plus an annual festival in the town near where it was filmed, testify to its timeless popularity. There are a couple of YouTube videos on the “making of” Tremors.
What is that a Greener 10 guage?
A ten gauge made by Greener. Greener was a quality brand around the turn of the 20th century.
Lovely well made shottie.

“Used Cars” With Kurt Russell and Jack Warden.
The best movie you never heard of.
Seen it!
Great movie
Early 80’s my brother ran a video rental store (a mom and pop) and we could take all the movies we wanted. Saw a lot of great bad movies
But for “Cheeziest” I’m all in for:
The “Riff Traxx” version of that is priceless !!
Yeah, we’ve got the posters at the med cannabis testing lab I work at.
Still shaking my head at how the industry gets away with calling it medicine, but has strains called for example “Titty Sprinkles”. I would have gone with Fucitol, at least it sounds medicinal.
Have it on VCR, watch it occasionally. It’s a hoot.
And Kim Cattrall.
I think there was a reference to Greeners in a John Wayne film.
Sons of Katie Elder, maybe. Tried to look it up, which led me to the Wikipedia article about shotguns, which led me to the Mossberg 590S Shockwave 12ga, which led me to Academy Sports.
Picking it up tomorrow.
Sleeping on the couch tonight.
So, thanks for that.
You are my hero tonight.
Bought an A. H. Fox 12 ga. “for my wife” not long ago.
Worth a few nights on the couch.
Sorry, Anon…but at least you’ll have a nice cruiser.
“Looks like you broke into the wrong god damn rec room!”
Uh oh…2 more mother humpers!
That’s a great scene. Great way to get tinnitus too!
“Out There” 1995 TV movie. Several cameos–Rod Steiger, Jill St. John, Billy Bob Thornton, June Lockhart, although the leads, Billy Campbell and Wendy Shaal were unknown, at least to me). A benign, fun and funny version of the idea used in John Carpenter’s 1998 “They Live.” One of the aliens at one point even quotes, as a joke, a line from “Day the Earth Stood Still” (of course you know it…”Klaato Berada Nicto.”) Spoiler alert…the weapon found that defeats the aliens in “Out There” is the sound of an accordion. It turns them into styrofoam peanuts.
Out There is a reasonably entertaining movie (5.3 on IMDB) that takes neither space aliens nor itself very seriously. It shows up here and there from time to time. Not on Netflix and it’s a rent or buy on Amazon streaming ($4 to rent, $12 to buy. I’ll watch it for free but not ready to rent or buy it.)
Sounds a lot like Mars Attacks where the aliens’ head explode at the sound of Slim Whitman singing “Indian Love Song”. Lots of big names in the movie Jack Nicholson, Glenn Close, Danny DeVito, Martin Short, Michael J. Fox, Tom Jones and Natalie Portman.
My favorite scene. Roasting congress….
“Indian Love Song”
Don’t run, we are your friends…
Love that movie…
I saw one of the sci fi movies where the aliens blew up the capitol and the crowd gave them a giant round of applause. I read that the same thing was happening all over the country, even some standing ovations.
“Independence Day” when The Clintons infested the WH.
Happened all over the country.
Back in the early 80s, Bill Tush hosted a sarcstic program on TBS appropriately named “Tush”. They usually had a new guest weekly, and Slim appeared and sang. What a laugh.
Ali even appeared once. And, Jan Hooks as “Tammy Jean”, the Televangelist, was a hoot, down to her “Inspirational Eldorado”.
Monty Python and the Holy Grail
Life of Brian… 🙂
“Freedom or crusification?”
“Biggus Dickus……he had a wife you know….”
Incontinentia Buttocks
Yep!
Not a “cheezy movie” but a GD masterpiece.
[youtube
in spite of the horrid ben stiller, a great movie
Much worse is the irredeemable hell bitch Janeane Garofalo.
But the movie was great.
When I answered I had forgotten about Airplane — hilarious!
That’s what I get for commenting before looking at the images, LOL
Me too – classic satire.
Top Gun. The 16 year old me thought that Tom Cruise was really hot.
Maverick is back Memorial Day. I promised the son and grandson I would take them to see it, as it was the favorite of my son when he was a kid.
How is Iceman going to reprise his role? Val Kilmer list his voice to cancer.
And he went full Marlon Brando.
He’s gotta weigh 325.
?fit=479%2C679&ssl=1
The movie has been delayed for over 2 years due to convid, so was probably finished filming in early ’19. I think they are the only originals to return for the sequel.
After watching Top Gun, I could not imagine Iceman playing Jim Morrison.
He nailed it.
There’s a prequel to Lonesome Dove.
Comanche Moon. Kilmer is awesome.
The books are the best descriptions of the old west ever.
Lonesome Dove is MUST reading.
Oh, then Far and Away is for you.
the princess bride? grosse pointe blank? time bandits?
“Frank’s and beans”!!
😂😂
Galaxy Quest, hands down
“Miners, not minors.”
“You lost me.”
Rick Wakeman.
CBGB, if you haven’t.
Also, Quigley Down Under,
Bottle Shock,
Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, and, of course,
Die Hard.
Can’t hear “Yippee -ki-yay” without finishing it in my head any more.
Rick Wakeman is the (fucking brilliant) keyboardist for the band Yes.
You mean Alan Rickman
If that flick had been 20 minutes longer, Sigourney Weaver would have been totally nekkid.
Her “real body” was shown (almost) in the original ‘Alien’. Wife beater t-shirt and panties. No shape, no breasts, no ass, no thanks…
Too true.
When I was 8-10 years old we always went to the movies on a Saturday morning at the Gaumont in Frome, Somerset, UK. The name came from many of the Gaumont cinemas which had a theatre organ for entertainment before the show, in the intervals, or after the show. The name “Gaumont” was adopted to describe the style of the flat-top organ console case (originally for the Pavilion Theatre, Shepherd’s Bush), for some Compton organs built from October 1931 to 1934. (a bit of useless information!)
Anyway, they always showed Roy Rogers with his horse Trigger and his dubious sidekick Tonto with his cry: “Hi Oh Silver”. Jeez, how creepy is that for such young impressionable minds?

If this isn’t the cheesiest thing ever! I never went again until I was 18 and had met a hot 16 year-old – puppy love was boiling over and she insisted we went to see “The Sound of Music” – 3 hours of torment for me and I have never been to the movies ever again and rarely watch films on TV except certain classics like Ham Burger Hill and that kind of genre.
Ah, thanks B_MC I obviously got mixed up – memory going off – it was a long time ago!
5050 w Colonial dr Pine hills is a NO GO Zone now.
I hated musicals as a kid. But loved the Sound of Music, and it still touches my heart.
The hills are alive with the sound of Music.
It’s about the music of God. Remember the word, sound, music does it ring a bell?
Yes AKJ I understand your reference but I have never been one to appreciate singing although my mother was a soprano with the Luton Girls Choir and attempted to sing to me as a small child which apparently made me cry! But 1960s pop music was a winner for me.
But also give me a piano concerto or big band stuff like Glenn Miller, boogie and any jazz jam session – this pleases me no end too. Now, if only I could play like this – the heart of any party:
Peter – My wife came into the office when I was playing that one Sunday afternoon and she really enjoyed it. I told her I was getting my weekly dose of class from your former cohorts.
Yes TNP I really miss doing those music mafia items – there’s never enough time these days but if/when things settle down, I hope to get back to it.
Very nice. 🙂
She sounds like long tall Marcia Ball!
Hot Rods to Hell.
On any other day that might seem strange.
Is there any role that Cage has turned down?
‘Cause that would be the cheesiest of all time.
I liked this movie!
Did you say cheesy?
…
…
FLASH!
Must have seen it 50 – 100 times on HBO as a kid. Maybe it’s about the soundtrack. Then again, there was also this:
You win!
All time cheeziest movie.
Another good soundtrack (at least for me).
Try and find the VHS “Flesh Gordon”
Soft core porn but actually just bad comedy with some nudity thrown in, so not much different than the original.
What about “Barbarella” or “Attack of the 50′ Women”?
Hawkmen: DIVE!
“NO! Not the bore worms!!!”
Weekend at Bernie’s.
This is actually happening right now in the White House.
Tommy boy.
I miss Chris Farley.
Attack of the Killer Tomatoes
George Clooney hopes you don’t remember “Return of the Killer Tomatoes”.
It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad World. Great movie with an all star cast. I don’t think I have ever laughed as hard in my life as I did the first time I saw it.
Tucker and Dale vs Evil
Put that on one Halloween, tried to convince wifey it was a straight up horror flick. One of the highest rated movies on instantwatcher (streaming review site).
Love the dog!
The college kids are killing themselves, must be a suicide pact!
I’m pretty sure … I win (the bad taste award, that is).
one of the best musical films ever, Paul WIlliams music in this is awesome, and one of Brian DePalma’s first movies, an overlooked gem for real
FEEEENIX!
Cheezy western… hands down Rustlers Rhapsody
Toss another fag in the fire….

Big Trouble in Little China- John Carpenter
&ct=g
Another good one with Roddy Piper: Hell Comes to Frog Town
After all the memes, finally got at local library. So bad, couldn’t finish.
Love that one! My wife and I decided a while back that if we had to choose a favorite director, we would both choose John Carpenter because he has made so many cheesy movies that we like to watch over and over. And we also have a cat that will come running from anywhere in the house and sit next to the television whenever we turn on “The Thing” and the helicopter is chasing the dog at the beginning while the standard ominous John Carpenter music plays in the background.
“You gotta be f*****g kidding me…”
You just couldn’t resist. (Kudos).
Hell Comes to Frogtown
Hell yeah!
Army of Darkness.
Cheeze level….”11″
Damn, there are so many…
Back to the Future3…..Love Doc!
“Death Race”
“Is that a grenade?”
“A hand grenade”
One summer while staying with relatives out of town I met a hot girl at a party Friday night and we hung out the next day. All day. Breakfast at her place then we went to a beach about an hour away where some there guys thought I was the luckiest dude around. We ended up partying with some new friends that afternoon and by that evening we were pretty lit and she wanted to go to a movie. Pee-Wee Herman. We laughed our butts off and she had the cutest most lyrical laugh that made me laugh even harder.
Bubba Ho-Tep
Bruce Campbell as Elvis Presley, Ossie Davis as JFK, in a nursing home fighting an ancient Egyptian horror
A classic of cheeze.
Nacho Libre.
WHOA WHOA… that is about the closest to real wrestling evrrrr…
Streets of Fire….Willem Dafoe in a garbage bag fighting the hero with sledgehammers, awesome!
Diane Lane was so hot back then….
Repo Man! Emilio Estevez and Harry Dean Stanton. Classic!
It’s one of my most prized DVD. I gotta get this in blu ray or 4k. Wonderful movie
Forgot about that gem.
How about this wedge of limburger….
&ct=g
“Warriors, come out an play-ay”
Replied afore I saw yours! Soundtrack is epic.
Leprechaun 2.
It contains zero Leprechauns and has absolutely no relation in any way, shape, or form to Leprechaun the original movie and was not intended as a comedy, but you will laugh so hard you’ll pee yourself.
I strongly recommend the documentary about the making of this movie as well. HILARIOUS.
I worked a graveyard shift at a job where a warm body was all that was needed. So I watched a movie called ‘Something Happened’ if memory serves me right…
Long story short, not a frig’n thing happened. Just some weird convoluted story about some ants, a radio room and some dude. SO PO’d when the credits rolled and I was going WTF did I just waste 2 hrs on…
SOLD!
Airplane and the Naked Gun for sure.
UHF…Weird Al at his finest.
The Return of the Living Dead (1985)
One of the all time greats.
I use this gif often in comments sections.
The “split dog” scene is just as good.
But I forgive you darlin’ and I know you’re here, because I can smell your brains!
“A Polish Vampire in Burbank” 1983
Funny. Your consistency is admirable.
“Rancho Deluxe”, circa ’75-76. Jeff Bridges & Sam Waterson, plus Harry Dean & Slim Pickens. Southerm aristocrat & half-breed Montana Indian shooting cattle with a Sharps .50, chainsawing them up & selling the beef. Went onto rustling cattle from a displaced Pennsylvania a*hole.
Two graet lines:
“The doublewide trailer has been the death of the Montana Indian.”
“All large scale crime is ALWAYS an inside job.”
OH…Coral Reefer Band performing “Livingston Saturday Night” at The Mint.
BTW, Jeff met his wife on the set. Been w/ her forever.
Slim Pickens. “If I weren’t so old, Idnta knowed what this was, a 50 caliber mini ball.”
This one, maybe. Reamimator! Couldn’t stop laughing when I snuck down to the family room to watch. It hurt a bit.
Superior add.
A truly great cheeze film.
It is cheesy and the trailer still makes me laugh.
“ley-uh”
Is your name Leah too, and is that how you pronounce it?
Mama Mee-uh. Poppa pee-uh. My name is pronounced like Lee-uh. That was the intent. No one thought differently Star Wars and Leia (which is Layah) Better yet, a second grade teacher tried to make us drop any other syllables than the first. My name became Le until my parents saw my new cursive signature on my assignments and threw a fit. People pronounce it all kind of ways.
What makes me bristle is when men try to appropriate my name. Some media spell that swimmer’s name as Leah. Nope. His name was William and he took three letters -LIA- and turned it to the new name.
Does this help or make it clear as mud?
AOK, AP. Glad to have answered your question.
Repo man Great soundtrack too!
LOL!
THE GREEN SLIME, anyone?
Yes!!!!!!
Saw it as a double feature with Destroy All Monsters.
