Having this man’s wisdom over the decades is one of the great benefits of my life. God bless you, Dr Paul.
How? Aren’t you in the same boat as everyone else?
What if he actually had made a difference?
Who says he hasn’t? Who says things wouldn’t be worse? Can you honestly say that as many folks would not be as aware of what the Fed is up to without his movement or his speeches?
Seriously, Mr. Lib?? You’re smarter than that. Worse??? How can it be worse? After the ridiculousness of the last two years, now we’re possibly facing a WW and famine…but you think it could have been worse? DOES. NOT. COMPUTE.
And…just where has this ‘awareness’ that you speak of gotten us?
If liberty is to be restored it will be due to great men, like Dr. Paul starting “prairie fires in the minds of men.” Not yours, I suppose but millions of others-and in ever-growing numbers. Stop with the negative, loser talk, and get busy fanning the flames.
Loser talk? I’m not into praising those who gave no viable solutions.
For the record, I spent a great deal of time ‘fanning those flames’…most were not interested. If the reality of the last two years didn’t do it, then it’s not looking good…for Americans, that is. Canadians have a better chance.
Liberty is not a viable solution??? It’s a sad fact of life that the vast majority of people have lived only under tyranny. Only a tiny sliver of people in world history have enjoyed any individual freedom. It cannot be taken for granted. It must be pursued and fought for. So, when you’re not criticizing people like Dr. Paul, you’re spreading the word? Good.
CCR…do you see my name?? Guess what…that’s not my real name. I chose that name for a reason. You’re preaching to the choir.
Anyway, I’m dropping it. I don’t want to crush anyone’s inspiration. Carry on.
Just curious, Abigail — how do you see the Canadians having a better chance when not only is Trudeau a WEF stooge, but Klaus Schwab has admitted that more than 50% of Trudeau’s cabinet is, too?
The record of Trudeau — and, in fact, of AUS and NZ leadership — is truly frightening in its drive and in its ability to run totally roughshod over the rights and liberties of their citizens — to an an extend and a degree that our current ‘leadership’ in the US only wish it could replicate here.
Anthony…my comment had more to do with the kind of people the Canadians have proven to be, not about what they’re up against.
I believe all odds are against them, yet they are the only people who have organized a massive resistance and have taken on personal risk and sacrifice. I don’t believe they are going to sit back and stay silent from here on out. I really don’t.
Americans, on the other hand…different story. We do not like to risk our comforts, here in the land of the free and home of the brave…now do we?
Point(s) well made … thanks for the clarification.
Canadians resistance has vanished like like snow in June.
This website would never have been started if it wasn’t for Ron Paul inspiring me to fight the good fight, despite the odds being against us. So, there’s that.
Glad you were inspired, but I’m talking big picture.
You must be a blast at parties.
I actually am, thanks.
And risk getting shot by you people?? 🙂
Yes, understood.
If we had only followed nazism, we wouldn’t be in this predicament.
I just get irritated when idiots blame Ron Paul for not succeeding. He always has been:
Pro-family
Against all welfare – individual & corporate
Anti-abortion
Against wars for profit
Against the Fed
For balanced budgets
Against the IRS
His stances on all issues aligns practically 100% with most readers of this site. He is the patron saint of TBP. Without him, there would be no site.
I’m not blaming him. I was asking CCR & Mr. Lib to further explain their comments. Their comments made zero sense to me.
Also, it is very difficult for any politician to get my praise. No need to get offended.
I first heard him speak in 1988 when he ran for president. It was at a hotel conference room with maybe 20 people. The last time I heard him speak was in Tampa in his 2012 run in an arena with 14,000 screaming young people drunk on the ideas of liberty. We now have notable libertarians like Tom Woods, Dave Smith, Michael Malice carrying the torch set aflame by Dr. Paul. But you say he hasn’t made a difference? Spare me your ignorance.
Got it, CCR. Read my comment above to you…Carry on if what you’re doing is working for you…and me…and everyone else.
I’ve always said, give me a white Christian nation and watch the shining city on the hill return.
Homogeny. We need homogeny.
We could be Australia, or..Canada…or Austria….or….?
It could be a great deal worse, Dear Lady.
Ron Paul is one reason we aren’t as bad as them…Yet.
Colorado…get my state back, then I’ll take you seriously.
Not my job alone, Sweetcakes.
I do all I can.
And ask something serious, and I’ll take you seriously.
So far, you fail.
And your breeding and manners continue to be abysmal.
Oh, I’m sorry, did I hurt your feelings? Please, please forgive me. I will not be able to sleep tonight knowing you are hurt.
Abby dearest keep doing what you are doing and never apologise for being right. I’m just too tired and weak to grapple anymore or I would be there getting muddy with you and AP.
Libertarianism is the devil telling Eve that eating the apple will give her all the answers but she still won’t know what the questions are. I like the way you keep it simple.
Thank you, Flea. That means a lot coming from you.
He did make a difference for some of us, Abby.
Ok, Ghost. I respect that.
speaking of parties, there’s never a shortage of Yahbuts who reckon it’s a good exercise for discussion after dropping a deuce into the punch bowl.
Ron Paul was one successful person in private life, who entered public life with a good set of ideologies, thinking he might be able to make a difference, and steer the country down a better path.
“Yeah, but…”
Dammnit, Bill, It is NOT a Baby Ruth bar, you squeegied off the floor of the built in pool.
Let’s ignore the 95% positive and zero in our focus on the 5% that’s flawed, so we can disapprove,
because, you know, we’re smaht like that. We ain’t dumb.
Got to prevent that echo chamber,
Hey Dontcha Know.
Who knew Libertarians were so vehemently passionate?? Sure wish I had witnessed more of that passion these last couple of years.
It is said that Lao Tzu was the first Libertarian. His views on charity, leaders, hands off gov’t, war, family, and all that have come down to us and remain in our hearts as a good “way of life.” In between then and the present we have seen a few bright stars come and go but never leading to a population that fully embraced liberty, with one exception that at least resembled the ideal, America, at the beginning.
And for America, it was not the Constitution that set things off. The people in the beginning were of right minds and in those early years were the most prosperous in the world as measured by per capita income. What existed before the Constitution was very little government, an entity to which sociopaths, psychopaths, and women are drawn with a predictable outcome.
A Libertarian Party came into being and has put up morons for president as for example, Gary Johnson. But also Harry Browne, who had an encompassing, educational, spot on answer for every question he ever got from the media. And Ron Paul.
Has the effect of all this history ended up being worse than useless? Distracting to the point that energy that could have been put to use creating the desired society drained off and prevented such a society from appearing?
Yes and no has to be the answer. “Yes” in the sense that things have indeed gotten worse and worse with no end in sight other than revolution, which won’t be a picnic and from which the society we know could revert to barbarism.
And “no” in the sense that a lotta people hang around at the edges yet today, inspired by Paul, Browne, and Jefferson to say the least. Without them what would we have? Left, Right, and Middle and only that? Does experience triumph all else? Does not experience instruct us in what to do and what not to do, which may very well be the work we are meant to do by the Universe?
It’s all good.
The republic is in ruins and if white people of European descent don’t take a violent stand it will remain so !
The time for the ballot box and peaceful coexistence to solve what was a great republics problems and demise is over
About 2 minutes in, it is obvious that there is an audio/visual edit (screen/sound jump), because YouTube. Wonder what part was left out?
Paul misses the point — deliberately, so as to not step on the ‘big toes’ of those really behind so much global suffering — or because he just doesn’t know better … it’s hard for me to tell which.
The ‘Deep State’ in the United States — and in England — both have their roots in the same cesspool — pro-zionists …
This is the first of a series of 4 articles — read it and follow through to the end — and read the pertinent links as well …
… and here …
… and then there’s this nest of miscreants —
Still knows what he is talking about.
He was the greatest president we never had and we listened to him then and got the hell out of Dodge.
