In this culture war, we have to pick and choose our battles. As for myself, I’m not willing to completely abandon social media because I have a long background in media presentation. I don’t share memes – I create them.

The problem I am trying to avoid is that of cancelation. If I directly say what I think then I’d be canceled that very moment so I have to use stealth tactics. I have to work around the censors.

In a world where woke Disney wants nothing more than to have your child twerking on TikTok, we have to present an alternative and present it with all the “art” that Disney brings to the table.

If you want to see a gallery of children being traditional children visit my Instagram page and see it for yourself. You don’t need to have an account.

Nickel,

I just followed you (PicAppoint). I have to say, I don’t get it. I’ve never heard of anyone doing doll photography.

Well, I do not have actual children to work with but if you go through the gallery you will notice that these are MidCentury, American Made Companion dolls in period appropriate settings doing things that kids in the past would have done. They climb trees, have tea parties, use their Easy Bake oven, play doctor, and play pretend.

My gal makes most of that clothing and it is a world where boys are boys and girls are girls. The cost of putting that gallery together was about $20,000 so it isn’t something I did on a whim.

While the public schools promote homosexuality, I promote something entirely different and do so in such a way that it can’t be canceled.

Thank you for explaining. I support you and your efforts. I will share your posts to those that follow me.

The photography is very good. The clothing is pretty amazing also.

Thanks. It has been an uphill battle because people instinctively find the dolls to be a bit creepy but that is part of the allure. My desire is for someone to look at those images and weigh it against what they see all around them. If I work really hard then, perhaps, I can capture a certain Zeitgeist and nudge people in a certain direction.

If I just openly said the unspoken opinions I have that are expressed in those images, I’d be canceled in 30 seconds.

I had the exact stereo system. I wish I still had it.

Another one that was great was watching the motorcycles go around the sides of the huge barrel at the fair. It was loud and shook the entire structure.

I have and use the cassette tapes in the house still and another rig in the garage (the radio might as well be junk) but all the VCR stuff is now junk because it’s all analog TV. The annual fair is just an expensive ticket for crap now.

Far more of my childhood that any previous. I had that water filled ring-toss game too. Actually, I might still have it….just like the ark. Mom saved everything. Sadly I save too much.

RE: above 35th photo from the top

Lol Yep. I still have mine cuz I’m loyal to both people and things and will most usually forsake only the things that fail me. In my shop, I have a garage sale boom box that, other than the occasional power outage, has had the radio on continuously since 2003.

That next to last meme REALLY gets me. 🙁

The sailboat cruisers who I have dedicated my recent decades to, still allow free-range children and … how should I put this … homogeneous variety. People who earn their way and don’t expect handouts.

Bought a brand new flowbee about August 2019 because I got sick of my millennial barber of the last several years showing up late or not at all at his shop. Luckiest timing I’ve ever had as only months later people couldn’t get a haircut. Still using it.

Bought a FlowBee in 1996, worked for 23 years. Had to buy a replacement in 2019… I doubt It’ll last as long (definitely not the same quality) but i haven’t had to see the inside of a barber shop in over 26 years.
