Festivus.

I have not celebrated any holiday whatsoever in 2+ years. Not even birthdays.

However, back when I was normal, it was Christmas. Nothing else came close.

I have a friend who celebrates that one, on Dec 21st usually. We get together with a dozen or more friends and he even has an aluminum pole. I am always the first to tear the Gov’t a new one during the “Airing of Grievances”

When I was a kid, Christmas & Thanksgiving. As an adult, holidays are too stressful & overwhelming. Plus, things have changed in the last two years and people got all crazy so not as fun anymore.

Halloween & Valentine’s Day are both stupid.

Memorial Day weekend was always a blast in Colorado because it kick-started camping season with really good friends…people you choose to be with, not crazy family you’re forced to be around. But…we all left communist Colorado and went our own way, so that’s not happening anymore.

4th of July was always fun…because food, music, & good friends….AND love of country, but that’s gone now, isn’t it???

So….don’t really have a favorite anymore. Good times.

July 4th has always been my favorite holiday of the year.

Blowing up stuff with fireworks.
Cooking good food outside
Teaching the little ones how to properly light and toss a firecracker or bottle rocket.
Bowing up stuff with fireworks!

Christmas, the spirit of Joy, Love, Kindness, Sharing, gathering family and friends, decorations, lights, colors, food, Christian music, birth of Jesus; special joys for children and Christmas morning gifts; too bad it can’t last all year.

Easter. Spring is near, Winter is almost over, the green returns along with sunshine & warmth.
A great hope emerges if based in Faith, that death is overcome and sins can be forgiven.

Next: Thanksgiving, because gratitude keeps open the doors and the flow of God’s bounty into our laps. The food is great. A source of life..

Least favorite: MLK, Valentine’s, Sweetest Day, Presidents Day…all the ones where gifts & materialistic junk is an expected obligation, or a Monday when all the Fed workers, schoolteachers, and bank employees get another 3 day weekend, you know, because they’re heroes who work so much harder than a blue collar lunch bucket Slim. /s

Christmas just isn’t what it used to be. The Spirit of it has been lost, all for materialistic stuff.
And by and large, Americans have wayyyyy too much shit, and have dropped God down a bit too low on their list of priorities.

July 4th for sure. I look at it as one of the last remaining white holidays left. It celebrates the Independence of our nation, which was declared and fought mainly by white men, as well as the Declaration of Independence, written and signed by white men. Sure it can be celebrated by all different type of Americans, as it should. But it is still a white holiday. Explains why they want to do away with the holiday and simply call it “Americas Birthday” over anything to do with references to Independence or the people that brought it about.

My least favorite…Juneteenth, because it is only a “holiday” for the nigs, us white people are to feel guilt on that day. Not happening.

Halloween. I decorate the house extensively outside and a bit inside. A great time for neighbors to come by with alcoholic beverages. The kids in the neighborhood have a great time. They all enjoy our house. I don’t regard the holiday as “satanic” or anything similar. Death happens. Tombstones happen. Skeletons happen, and whiny begging children come to your home. It takes me several weeks to get all my decorations out, so it is also a holiday with some presence. Its also the time when fall seems to finally show up and displace the hell of a summer that the south delivers with a vengeance.

In 2020, all the adults in the neighborhood decided that despite the presence of the criminal CDC in the adjacent city and all their bullshit about cancelling the holiday, we were all going to have a NORMAL Halloween. Turnout was likely greater than usual, some kids had their useless masks on, but most had just their normal costume masks on. Adults gathered in large numbers to drink heavily, with no concerns about social distancing or anything else. This included our mayor and city council clown that lives in our neighborhood. Some were actually putting their candy out in a bowl for kids to just take, or coming up with other ridiculous “social distancing” gimmicks. I was pretty clear. You want the candy, come and get it directly from us. It was fantastic to see so many celebrating life on a holiday supposedly about death. Last year was good too, but nothing like the giant “release” that happened in 2020 after all the bullshit of the previous 7 months. I was banned from doing anything “Covid-oriented” in my displays as apparently the wife actually enjoys not having neighbors pissed off at her. LOL. I could care less….but the wife…no need to piss her off.

In our town, Halloween was Verboten in 2020. There were announcements in the newspaper and billboards on the main roads reminding everyone to not risk Grandma´s life by trick or treating.

Someone in our neighborhood came up with the idea of having bowls out at the top of the driveways for kids to take candy, and it was so nice to have at least that. I was Sully from Monster´s Inc, that messed up movie where monsters succeed by scaring kids the most, so that the giant fear machinery of the world keeps going. I thought it was a propos.

Yeah, this has shown the value of a marginally-decent governor and mayor (although no government would be far better). Insanity prevailed for most, but there were no mandates to participate in it.

In 2020, our local health department put out an 800 number for people to call and report people breaking Covid restrictions around Halloween…and other holidays.

Did I mention progressives ruin EVERYTHING they touch? Everything.

In 2020 my hometown didn’t exactly encourage trick or treat, but suggested we spread candy on a table or the driveway and let the kids pick it up if we were going to partake. We had almost 100 kids that year. Pretty much everyone was over non Halloween masks. Since it was Saturday with a bright full blue moon, the fun lasted longer. Then everything shut down again within a couple of weeks. Bastards.

Halloween. Not a devil worshipper or anything like that. The history is fascinating and I just always liked the scary. In Detroit and surrounding areas, October 30th was the real Fright Night. The people would stay up all night with hoses and buckets to fight potential arson. Halloween was like a breath of fresh air after that. The kids ranged from cute to obnoxious.

Patriot’s day, April 19th. The anniversary of the Battle of Lexington and Concord. Also the day they murdered the Weavers and the day they blew up the Murrah Building and blamed it on white trailer trash.

Then of course W had to proclaim 9-11 “patriot” day as if there was something patriotic about being blown to bits by your own government and their Deep State puppetmasters.
