I have seen pictures of some of these parents. They are sick looking freaks. I cannot imagine a punishment violent and painful enough for them.

Too bizarre for me to believe. I don’t even think an abortion loving leftist would endorse slicing off the genitals of a 5-year old boy to correct his gender assignment, let alone perform such a procedure. But I could be wrong. Not much surprises me these days.
It is possible that the child in question is some sort of weird genetic mosaic or other anomaly (e.g. born with penis, uterus, ovaries or “ovo-testes”). Such malformations, though rare, have always been around.
In recent times, the standard of care has been to raise them as girls, since they are almost certainly sterile. Accordingly, the penis is removed and a vagina created surgically.

There is no standard of care for kids who have parents that think they should start treatments. None. No studies on what long term hormone replacement does to kids but they do know that if they do start hormone replacement before puberty they will never be able to reverse it so they can live a normal life.
