I knew we were in trouble way back in my Tea Party days. Once I became comfortable there and had made many good friends, I began speaking more freely. It never failed, every time I said we couldn’t vote our way out of this mess and that a “Revolution” would be necessary to restore Liberty, I’d get those you’re insane looks or comments. So for over 10 years now I have been trying to open people’s eyes to the farce of voting to no avail.
It’s heartbreaking to read article’s such as this from WRSA yesterday. “Complacency, compliance, and cowardice together with bountiful heaps of apathy, indifference, and denial are pretty much all I see.” Oh, how many times I have written about that. Yet we continue to do nothing but hope for the best in voting. Early voting is taking place here locally already, and it seems that the enthusiasm is high. Politicians signs are everywhere. One of the early voting stations was packed this past Saturday. The cycle of hope on voting our way out continues it seems.
Will that day of reckoning ever come? We continue to slowly limp along into the dust bin of history. Oh how I wish I could just withdraw from society and be left alone with my family to live in peace and freedom.
With all of the corruption and evil exposed and on full display, we continue to do nothing. It’s frustrating watching your country fade into oblivion without so much as a whimper.
It never fails, I always get the comments thrown at me,”Well what are you waiting for?” “Go ahead, go do what needs doing!” Who would have my back? I can count on one hand here locally who would have my back.
People say there is nothing to save of these United States and that we should just Balkanize. Great, how does that happen peacefully? You think this out of control Deep State is just going to let us go off do as we please without a fight?
Our country is no more. There is no saving it. There is no restoring it. Our current overlords stole the power they currently have, the whole world knows it and yet we do nothing. They are actively trying to kill us through their “vaccine’s” and bioweapons and yet we do nothing.
We have politely petitioned our government for years and voiced our grievances in the proper way. We have tried the ballot box. Our speech is being censored and most of us now are considered terrorist for speaking the truth. The courts are useless and do their masters bidding. So we are left with that final option and it seems I am in a very small minority of those willing.
I am not a big name. Sure locally I have people who would follow me and have my back. What then? How many do we need to have our backs and so on and so on? We keep searching for that big national leader. I don’t think that is coming. Nobody is coming to save us.
I don’t much like what is happening. I feel powerless as one person to make a change. I hate looking in the mirror and seeing the coward staring back at me. For now I guess I’ll just continue living day by day like everyone else out there, as if the good times will just continue on forever. Until they don’t.

We walked away. Gave up the good money, the prestige, the expensive habits and toys, the social acceptance, and all the other myriad perks associated with what the author refers to as good times.
It was not easy. My wife was not fully on board. We had to leave not only our beloved family home- five generations lived under that roof- but the graves of my ancestors, including my recently departed Mother. We left our church, all of the various organizations and affiliations we had belonged to, our good friends, and long-time neighbors. I left the career that made that life possible, gave up a secure financial future and the possibility of retirement because it was the only rational, logical, and reasonable response I could formulate to fight back.
We took up a brand new lifestyle, learned the hard way how to become self-reliant, educated ourselves in new disciplines, picked up skill sets we’d never imagined before, and in all ways altered our lives fundamentally in order to live authentic lives with real value, dedicated to our desire to raise our children honorably, healthy and free.
I mourned the loss of America too, but I understood that it was gone- at least the nation I had been born into, raised to respect, and served to defend.
I suppose I was tired of looking back at the coward I’d become in my own mirror, and I wanted my wife, my children, my friends, and my family to respect me for not simply talking the talk, but walking the walk.
There is no way I can convince someone who sees things differently that what we did was sensible, or that it was the smart move. I have no way to prove to my wife that it may have all been for nothing should things ever devolve far enough, fast enough, but in my judgement it was the best move we could make and it offered the greatest chance, not only our physical survival as a family, but for our posterity after our own children were gone.
The short term benefits over the last 13 years are innumerable; better health, a closer relationship, deeper bonds, a far better class of friends, pride in our accomplishments, and the ability to weather the storms of life with optimism and good spirits no matter how dark things appeared.
I contribute my comments here as frequently as I do as a way of offering thanks, by providing encouragement, by giving my time to show people- often face to face- that it can be done. We are not special, we did not come from a background that gave us a particular advantage, but neither did we shy away from doing the things that were required, enduring the difficulties with courage. I believe that most of the people reading these words have an equal capacity for finding a third way and of doing so successfully and well. I have met literally hundreds of readers since I began this particular path and have been humbled not only by their generosity, encouragement and kindness, but by the fact that so many have embarked on their own journey, in their own way. And I am sure they have touched far more than I could ever hope to.

I worked nearly 20 years for one of the largest utilities in the country, and one of the few that has ever experienced a complete shutdown along with a total restart. During that time I also worked through 2 massive firestorms that took out a large percentage of the infrastructure.
Utilities have been working to shield critical infrastructure from EMP for decades. The kind of nuclear blast that would facilitate an EMP would also be indistinguishable from an actual nuclear attack which would trigger an immediate retaliation as soon as the launch was detected.

These evils are mostly happening to other people, and so, are eminently “sufferable.”
Most everyone can go home, put up their feet, have a beer and something to eat. There are over 350 million people in the US. For the vast majority, nothing is affecting them. When that changes, things may move very fast.

For decades I thought I would actively participate as a patriot in an American civil war. Even as I aged out of vigorous physicality, I figured I could hump as far as I could, then become a rear guard. Maybe trade my good rifle for a lesser one with a young man who can stay in the fight longer.
I’ve come around the past few years to noticing how many civil wars ultimately just exchange bad government for bad. The “rebel” leaders turn out to be as socio/psychopathic as the brutes kicked out. After all, we live on the Satanically ruled earth until our One True King does the straightening out.
The area I’m still fully on-board for is good old all-American race war. If the nigs begin raiding White neighborhoods for pillage, I’ll have a great day at the carnival.

If welfare, which was anathema to the founders, was eliminated?

The current system is just the current version of the Roman bread and circuses routine. The masses get bread, and they get circuses (TV, sports, recreation, etc.) and are therefore controllable. The only time they will uprise is when the, particularly, bread isn’t provided or the circuses end such that all they do is pursue bread in an effort to survive.

I am making an average claim: Today a portion of homesteaders are aware of National Security risks labeled as ills of society, AI Nationalism and a weak American Active Defense–the U.S. government will not war against the Mexican Cartels nor will a major portion of citizens, etc.
There are many wars taking place and slowly about to take place within the U.S. –the (cyberwar) transgender lobby and (cyberwar) Mexican cartels to name two.
There are battles and warfare within the U.S. currently. Forever shield the vulnerable from this ugliness.
Yeah, that’s a forgotten piece of history. The Revolution was actually a two-front war, with the mostly german low-landers along the coast fighting for Washington, and the mostly scots-irish families getting massacred along the blue ridge by indian tribes working for the british at 20$ per scalp, just as the French had paid them 20 years before in the French indian war. Not much is mentioned about the war in the west.
The push-back actually started up north when the militias began forming, and followed the same blueprint from the french indian war 20 years earlier. They marched west across PA to the tribes’ villages in the ohio river valley, burned their corn fields and villages to neutralize that threat, (indians starved without corn to get them thru the winter) then made rafts and floated down the ohio river to kentucky and tennessee to join up with militias there. The “over the mountain men” came back from over the mountain to fight in SC, and NC, then pushed north into Va, until they pinned Cornwallis at yorktown. George showed up just in time to accept the sword of surrender.
