A U.S. soldier armed with an M-16 stationed in front of every school would do more to protect Americans than any U.S. soldier stationed overseas.

Perhaps no holiday is accompanied by as many lies as Memorial Day. Just look at the opening paragraph of President Biden’s Memorial Day Proclamation:

On Memorial Day, we remember the patriots who gave their lives in the service of America, in the service of freedom, and in the service of justice.  They made the ultimate sacrifice to defend our Constitution and our democracy.  We are free because they were brave, and we live by the light of the flame of liberty they kept burning.  They are all heroes, and our Nation is forever grateful.

Simply serving in the military doesn’t make you a patriot or a hero. In many cases it just makes you employed. U.S. soldiers who died in unjust foreign wars did not give their lives in the service of America, freedom, or justice. They died in vain and for a lie. Their deaths were not a sacrifice, and they did not die to defend our Constitution or the democracy that we have never had. Their deaths were senseless and avoidable. We are relatively free compared to most other countries in spite of the actions of U.S. soldiers. There is very little that U.S. soldiers do that we should be grateful for.

Among all the military idolatry on display this past Memorial Day weekend was the theme that U.S. troops protect us. This is a major tenet of both American religion and American civil religion. And it’s not just conservatives who repeat this canard, those on the Left like comedian Jon Stewart, who is always whining about the government not doing enough for veterans, are also guilty of military idolatry.

When Americans say that U.S. soldiers protect us or keep us safe, they never say just what it is that the troops are protecting us from. What they are usually implying is that U.S. soldiers keep us safe from terrorists, insurgents, jihadists, extremists, and enemies of the United States.

I hate to ruin the memories of your Memorial Day festivities, but nothing could be further from the truth.

How do tens of thousands of U.S. soldiers stationed on bases in Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea keep Americans safe? Is there even one American that these troops keep safe?

How do hundreds of U.S. military bases on foreign soil help to protect us? Must be all those U.S. golf courses on Okinawa that are keeping the hordes at bay.

How did U.S. soldiers fighting in Iraq and Afghanistan protect us? None of the 9/11 hijackers were from Iraq or Afghanistan. Most of them were from our ally, Saudi Arabia. Is there a single American who was in danger of losing a fingernail at the hands of anyone in Iraq or Afghanistan?

How did the United States bombing Somalia, Yemen, Pakistan, Libya, and Syria since 9/11, and Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and North Korea before then, keep Americans safe? Was any American ever in danger of being harmed by anyone in these countries?

How do U.S. soldiers protect us when they make widows and orphans, engage in offense instead of defense, fight unjust and unnecessary wars, carry out a reckless, belligerent, and meddling foreign policy, and maim and kill foreigners who never threatened any American?

The terrible truth is that it is not assorted foreign bogeymen that Americans must be kept safe from. It is from other Americans that Americans must be protected. Murder, robbery, burglary, larceny, and assault are on the rise. The U.S. murder rate is now the highest it’s been in 25 years. In Chicago alone, in 2021, there were 797 homicides recorded.

Although I don’t want to see federal security at schools any more than I want to see federal security at airports, a U.S. soldier armed with an M-16 stationed in front of every school would do more to protect Americans than any U.S. soldier stationed overseas.

Yes!

The “Soldier with an M-16” is only gonna be there to prevent parents from interrupting the grooming of their children.

If you want that soldier to be useful, have him store his M-16 in a closet and work on a farm, factory, or his own business. Let him build something for his own life and his own family. Then, if a politician threatens that, he can bust out the M-16!

Just stacking immature, young, roid-heads with guns at the whim of the current thing will only bring tyranny upon us all the faster.

I would have to agree.

I have said, for years, that we would all be better off closing all of those bases and station the troops here.

Consumer spending drives -well, it used to- the economic engine of this country. Not .gov spending.

Having those bases here would increase support in/around host communities as well the tax base for states.

Of course, this whole exercise assumes the purpose is to provide “protection” to the general population and not support the petrodollar as the worlds reserve (fiat) currency.

The military/industrial complex: flooding the world with dollars (and death/destruction) since 1941.

Those bases we have in foreign countries are probably more valuable for exporting the USD than they would be inflating it at home. I think it would better to not have a standing army. Just keep the nukes and that is good enough.

Yeah all those soldiers who died in Vietnam or Iraq or Afghanistan made the ultimate sacrifice to defend our Constitution and our democracy did they? Yeah sure they did. They were just cannon fodder for corrupt politicians and defense contractors.

There is no need for armed soldiers everywhere to protect us from mass casualty drills that are passed off as real events.

Sure. If you want a gender confused, borderline illiterate, Rip-It addicted, minimum standard whiner guarding a school then go for it.

I would rate about 30% of combat arms MOS as actually competent enough and trustworthy enough to operate independently of suck ass officers and brown nose NCOs issuing orders (more like a suggestion list these days) that edges on lunacy.

The military now is adult day care promoting mental illness and empowering idiots to think they are combat capable.

Get veterans that actually dealt in MOUT or CQB operations on the ground to pull security on schools, or you know, address the real issues: mental health and a corrupt and incompetent government and alphabet agencies.

The fact that we have to even entertain arming school employees or buy armored backpacks for kids is fucken ridiculous.

I would say hold parents accountable for raising fucken retards, but apples dont fall far from the genetic apple tree even though apples are not true to seed, which is funny how that saying is a misnomer in reality.

Easiest way to solve this is the good old 2A. If everyone is packing a bullet launcher (open or concealed) then I suspect the amount of crime in general would drop dramtically when criminals start getting swiss cheesed by the public.

The consequences of stupidity, or tactical errors needs to be greater than the potential payout of either. We are a nation of lax consequence and it all started with the pussies perpetuating hands off punishments for children.

It is infinitely worse now as politicians get away with actual murder and worse every day.

Solving the “gun” problem is a joke. It needs to be solving the problem of idiots and delinquents and functional retard adults having children that get more rearing from assbackwards school teachers then at home.

Take some responsibility for raising generations of useful idiots American parents. Pay attention to your kids and young adult offspring as signs are always there of impending doom in 99.998% of all incidents.

Drink some concrete and harden the fuck up America.

ZFG, out.

P.S. turn this fucker into the Wild Bunch folks. Start with the parasites.

I see circles. Well, spirals. Like a corkscrew. Emphasis on screw. (See Elbridge Gerry, below.) But giving cork its due, many a head is like those boards thinly veneered with the stuff, for to push-pin little bits of this & that into.

The whole standing army thing. But especially the feigned reticence, “strong distrust of a standing army not under civilian control.” Wikipukia say:

United States

In the British Thirteen Colonies in America, there was a strong distrust of a standing army not under civilian control.[29][30] The U.S. Constitution in (Article 1, Section 8) limits federal appropriations to two years, and reserves financial control to Congress, instead of to the President. The President, however, retains command of the armed forces when they are raised, as commander-in-chief.[1] The Framers’ suspicion of a standing army is reflected in the constitutional requirement that the appointment and promotion of high-ranking military officers (like civil officers) be confirmed by the Senate.[31] At the 1787 Constitutional Convention, Elbridge Gerry argued against a large standing army, comparing it, mischievously, to a standing penis: “An excellent assurance of domestic tranquility, but a dangerous temptation to foreign adventure.”[32] After the Battle of Bladensburg in 1814, during the War of 1812, in which the Maryland and Virginia militias were soundly defeated by the British Army, President James Madison commented, “I could never have believed so great a difference existed between regular troops and a militia force, if I not witnessed the scenes of this day.”[33]

Heres the rub that waxes off the cork & leaves only the screw: “Citizens” are standing army. A standing army of conscripts. And when the army came round to enforce at bayonet point the decree that all good little children were now convicts ~ another synonym for conscripts & citizens ~ who would henceforth be obliged to attend “public school” for that good Prussian obedience training, well, that was just more of the same, weren’t it, guv’nah?

Wonder if that quote attributed to Rockefeller I saw here is true. That he & his ruthless ilk & minions “came up with” the feminist lib movement to move the female pawns into the workforce so that the kiddie pawns could be groomed that much earlier?

Anyway, putting armed guards into the prison-“schools” seems like a natural progression, just another twist in the spiraling augury auger).

*I attended a southern hs one year that had a race riot. Troopers in the halls. I almost lost an eye in that fracas. Yeah, the show of force calmed things down. But the, a, big problem with the short term meds is the long term consequences they cause. Of course that problem is bonny boon solution, something akin to perpetual motion, to the ruthless ilk writing the prescriptions. Allopathic. See those first three letters? Panopticon. See those last three letters? Full spec dominance sociopathy – & the codependents what luv their massochism being sadistscrewed.

Feminism is an excellent example of how the Rockefeller mega cartel uses the awesome power of the mass media (i.e. propaganda.) to control society…

While trying to recruit Russo for the CFR, Nicholas Rockefeller told him that his family foundation created women’s liberation using mass media control as part of a long-term plan to enslave humanity. He admitted they want to “chip us.” Google “Rockefeller Foundation” and “Women’s Studies” and you’ll get a half million citations.

Previously I just chalked it up to full fiat inflation & all the attendant collateral damage. Making ends meet is what put my mother into the workforce, in the 70’s. But financial pressure cleaving the nucleus is just part of the means to achieving the anomic-atomic dispersal away from any/all competing spheres of influence/authority & scooping it all back up ~ rolling it up ~ into the pockets of these magic carpet riders, like the Rockefeller/Davos gang.

But the Vichy frogs want it, too. The boiling pot has been alchemized into a cliched hot tub, in the mountains, full of naked-attractive-willing consorts. C’mon in, the water’s .999 degrees fine.

We do not need armed guards in front of schools. What we need is comprehensive mental screening and evaluations to identify psychopathic tendencies in school kids starting at grade 1 and continuing through high school. Of course this will never happen, not because it is not logical or would be effective, but because the majority of our so called leaders are psychopaths themselves, and would do anything to keep that fact from being discovered.

IF mental screening would objectively detect mental issues, and IF there was a way to help, treat or warehouse the mentally unstable, then screening of teachers in addition to students would also be useful. Too many ifs right there though.

Are we solving the problem or stomping on brush fires?

Why do we even have public schools? Why do we have laws against defending our families ourselves. I’m willing to bet the governments overreach began in earnest when we agreed to vote ourselves the right to rob the “Other” guy to pay for someone else to educate our kids. That opened the door for lawyers to flourish who we paid with this stolen money to define exactly who and how much we could tax someone or anyone. Of course they made certain it was complicated enough to require more lawyers to control what the lawyers defined and the amounts required.

I bet if we look back we will find that someone convinced us we weren’t safe and needed a large standing army and navy to be safe. Maybe a Great White Fleet would make us safe and we’ll make everyone pay their ir share to keep it afloat. This required a fleet of great white lawyers to define how to manufacture each piece of machinery that went into building it.

When I was a kid you could still buy 20mm anti tank guns mail order and you could own a machine gun. Yet the only violence our school ever experienced was me stabbing the 4th grade bully with a pencil. This prompted the principle to call my parents and dad decided whether to kill me or not but it was nobody else’s business. It was the bully’s dad’s job to decide what to do about him. It was also the fathers job to keep our mothers from killing each other over the incident. Being a Man was no job for sissies. Now it’s a mans job to become a sissy as soon as possible.

Maybe we need to figure out what the questions are before we answer them.

Retired 4 years ago. Army helo instructor pilot turned PA. This was a bitter truth to swallow. An entire career of absolute bullshit and lies.

Incredible training and people: mission, purpose, action, execution under harsh conditions. Awesome, yet…ultimately pointless…still struggle integrating myself back together.

I simultaneously loathe it while missing it horribly. Nothing like it in the civilian sector. I would never go back, yet I crave the very real teamwork, mission, comradarie, and pushed to the limit fail and die aspect.

It is a parent’s, not soldier’s responsible to protect children FROM school. If they are not safe, for god’s sake, dont send them. The solution: homeschool. The illusion stems from a past history of safe schools. No longer true.

The sign says school, but flip it over and it says liberal shoothouse.
If it said that on the front, would you send ’em?

If the army told the truth, would you
Permit your child to join?

If the bank sign said First Fraud would You put Your money there? See, it says First Trust.

The DOD was my travel agent for years , went where they sent me and did what they told me to do. Served with a lot of great people , still talk to 3 or four regularly. Don’t know about a veteran at every door , but building security seems to be lacking at schools , need to be built like , and would look like prisons to be secured . My kids are up and out adults with good jobs one an RN and the other a navy “nuke” , they made it through public schools okay , today I might home school them if they were young .

As with everything else in this world, the answers come from within.
The argument here searches for answers from without.
Someone else must do something to solve this problem.
Instead of what can I do to protect my children?
I have no children.
None in schools.
None being taught fucktard ideas by a fucktard state.
I am unconcerned.
But I know what children are.
They are your wealth.
They are your immortality.
Why would anyone entrust the growth of that investment to others?
If one has children in a ‘gun free’ slaughter zone for 8 hours a day, what would they do?
If one has children in a mass indoctrination camp for 8 hours a day, what should they do?
If one has children exposed to all manner of sexual perversion and deviancy for 8 hours a day, what could they do?
If one has children that are unable to reason with cognition by the age of 7 (let alone 27), what solution is there?
The answers, as always, come from within and with infinite clarity.
They are not my children.
If their parents are as unconcerned with their safety to continue on with what others should do about it,
I remain unconcerned.
I heard the Christian god helps those who help themselves.
Sounds plausible…

I certainly agree with you. The issue is that not many realize how bad things are until you actually have children. Once a parent has to start dealing with the state in regards to their children, it’s like getting hit in the head with a baseball bat. But, at that point, it’s too late for many parents to change course. Not too many can do homeschooling or private school. Sad state of affairs for sure.
