Some songs that remind me, for whatever reason, of summer fun at the Jersey Shore – and summertime in general.

Summer = Fun, sun, beer and girls
Sweet City Woman, by the Stampeders, ooh yeah, and anything by Sly and the Family Stone
Nothing says summer like VH’s Beautiful Girls!
Marcy Playground with a little Reggae vibe. These catchy little melodies and transitions are what John Wozniak is great at:
.
A woman and a Jeep
Summer dances at the tennis court
Sweet Home Pennsylvania where the sky’s are so blue
And of course,
More goodness;
Radio K.A.O.S. overlooked by many. Worth a play.
Most beautiful woman in the world when I was young bought me Huey Lewis – Sports for Christmas.
Still have it. Great album.
My 76 Silverado, 4×4 short bed, 400 4 barrel, duel exhaust. a case of Gennesee returnable POUNDERS
I could not let me favorite band be forgotten when it comes to summer songs:
Getting there was 1/2 the fun. It was about a 3 or 4 hour road trip from home in PA in various states of altered consciousness (depending on who was along that day). No A/C in the car, only wing windows & mph to get the air moving… & an 8 track with small bookshelf speakers balanced precariously on the package shelf behind the backseat. Played just at distortion level.
One of the many…
Lee,as a Boston boy saw Geils many times, best shows Cape Cod Coliseum in the summer.
That said, they played the Cape Cod Coliseum Dec 23 one year,no partying in the parking lot in 30 degree temps but Peter came out dressed as Santa Claus onstage that show, great time!
The Coliseum was a hockey rink and yes, they warmed it up for that Christmas show!
Freeze frame and centerfold were formative for me.
A little research online shows saw em Dec. 30 on the Cape,my mistake, still a great show!
Wow, cannot believe this one was missed
When I remember War,this is the tune I think of:
Interesting, not one Beach Boys song.
Or Summer Song by Joe Satrioni
