Yes and yes. Happy to share. I worked my family farm for 50 years in Fauquier County. Virginia (Goldvein to be exact).
Taxation finally forced us off the farm as my mother fell victim to Alzhiemer’s AND dementia…we just got the results this week.
We landed in Georgia. Our mortgage is $400 a month lower. Our electric bill is 1/3 what it was in VA. Our personal property taxes are non-existent compared to VA. We pay a one time “ad velorum” tax for vehicles. As long as you own it, you’ll never pay tax on it again! Everything is cheaper here.
The political landscape is as corrupted as VA, but I’m seared beyond caring. The world is one giant shit hole I’m looking to escape.
Everyone else is looking for good news. I’m just looking for the most honorable way to die.

I understand exactly what you’re feeling. No one loves war, but at this point I feel it’s the only way, so I’m with you there. The writing is on the wall.
There are so many others here that can give you better responses, but I truly feel God was with me through all the risky actions I took over the last 2 years. I feel he guided me and has taken care of me beyond anything I thought possible. My life looks much different than it did 2 years ago, but He has truly blessed me for staying true to my core beliefs regardless of the pain it caused.

When I was 8 years old I had my first near death experience. I had just been baptized earlier in the year and the devil wanted me bad. Long story short, I almost drowned, was Divinely rescued and was then given a vision of my future life. The vision stopped at 60 year old. I always assumed that I would be dead at 60. I now realize that it ended there because if I saw a vision of what’s going on these days I’d probably die of despair on the spot.
I’ve got maybe 10 years of productive life left in me before I become a “useless eater”.

IMO while Green in some cases does make sense, it is not a solution to all energy. And nature wants our carbon. So give up on green energy except as a backup source.
