It is my sincere desire to provide readers of this site with the best unbiased information available, and a forum where it can be discussed openly, as our Founders intended. But it is not easy nor inexpensive to do so, especially when those who wish to prevent us from making the truth known, attack us without mercy on all fronts on a daily basis. So each time you visit the site, I would ask that you consider the value that you receive and have received from The Burning Platform and the community of which you are a vital part. I can't do it all alone, and I need your help and support to keep it alive. I just had the exact flooring on the far left replaced in one of my unused bathrooms 3 weeks ago. It still looked okay to me, my wife had been nagging about for years.
2nd from the left was in my grandparent’s kitchen and family room.
2nd from the left was my grandparents front porch.
Pickle loaf and olive loaf were staples in Grandma’s refrigerator, along with bologna and hoop cheese.
Chapstick ad?!
How about the Double Mint twins, see them and the last thing I was thinking of was chewing gum!
“Double your pleasure
Double your fun”
We could get firecrackers at the back door of the Chink’s laundry. But I didn’t know you weren’t supposed to call them chinks to their face. So when my mother told me to go to the chinks laundry to pick up the shirts I didn’t know which cleaner she meant so I asked them if this was the chinks laundry. They chased me out.
Kinda like how growing up I didn’t know that it was bad to call the Indian doctor the gook Dr. Everyone called him the gook doctor, so…
That was me when we still had the Vette, getting whistled at.
Sold it this year.
More like an obese, orange haired, black girlfriend.
Too late in life, I now have a pint jar of steelies, many of them boulders. I couldn’t interest the Gkids.
My wife and I are still in possession of my Father-in-Laws marbles, and our kids will probably wonder why we kept them when we’re gone.
When I was 13 in 1967 we used to take the bullets out of .22 rounds, stick the cartridge in a bar of soap and make soap bullets. Then we would play war games and shoot each other with our .22 rifles. Stung like hell when you got hit.
Still have some Skin Bracer.in the medicine cabinet…so many women, so little time. Hahahaha
Born in the late-’40s, the great thing about growing up in the ’50s and ’60s was that The United States Of America was a great Nation … still a Sovereign Nation (i.e., it pretty well kept its borders closed to illegals) … and we felt that the future was positive and worthwhile.
Then, in the mid-’60s — the troublemakers — the career malcontents — took control of things … Jerry Rubin, Abbie Hoffman, Bill Ayers and many more … and all they wanted to do was destroy everything that they didn’t like.
(((They))) flexed their muscles and destroyed our Nation in the process — as was intended … as has always been intended …
LBJ murdering the President didn’t help either.
as it was written long ago.
and the atheist bitch in Texas who went after school prayer. Madelyn O’hara??? Something like that.
The first three Angels were the best, though Cheryl made a pretty good replacement. Amazing that Kate Jackson thought that she was the sexy one. LOL
And all I ever remember about Suzie Chapstick was how unbelievably huge and visible her gums were. I’d never seen anyone with that much exposed gum before…certainly not in a commercial.
I always considered Jaclyn to be the beautiful one, Farrah the sexy one and Kate the comfortable one. She was the one you would be proud to take home to meet Mom.
You’d have to keep dad away from Farrah and Jaclyn.
That’s right Marta!
Schlitz: The beer that made Milwaukee famous. Hard to find these days but tastes good on a hot day.
