I think Ghost is going to be directly in the path. I saw the last one at Kentucky Lake, near Paducah. It was breathtaking. This one will track through NE AR, about 80 miles away for totality. If I am able, I will be there.

However, instruments CAN see the full spectrum. So, when you see the rendering as “blue” it is not completely made up. It IS some shade of blue that we cannot see …. so, they are forced to use a shade of blue you CAN see. That does not make it fake, ya moran.

We have been looking at the stars, the heavens, probably since we became aware. TPTB don’t care about space except to make people scared or anxious or to promote whichever scientific theory is in vogue. Astronomy has always been an interest of mine, ever since I was a kid and all into “Star Trek” and such (by the way, today is Star Trek Day, the anniversary of the first episode). I loved seeing space ships and phasers and dead Redshirts, just like so many of us. I took Astronomy in college. I’ve had telescopes, and looked at the other planets, and seen comets and falling stars. These are things I can personally vouch for: all that stuff I personally saw, and will no doubt see again, in real-time, not pictures.
If I could trust anything NASA told me, I would be all-in on these claims they make; I want to believe them. Unfortunately, they are responsible for one of the greatest hoaxes on mankind: the moon landings. Knowing this now, after years of believing, has left me with nothing but contempt for anything NASA has to say. Who likes to be made a fool? I sure don’t.
NASA is now, and has always been, a military front operation. Their science is awful. They get a lot of our tax dollars, and produce nothing but lies and disinformation, just like you would expect from a government organization. They snookered us all over 50 years ago, using then state-of-the-art special effects, the best Lookout Mountain could buy, and a complicit media helped them stage it. All just to keep our eyes off the atrocities our military had going on here on Earth, via Vietnam. Sickening.
Nonetheless, I won’t allow NASA to ruin the wondrous heavens around me. I still love to look up at the sky and see the stars, and always will.
Based on their track record, it is not unreasonable to assume any pictures or stories NASA releases are fake, in some way or other. But it sure is a pretty picture, either way.
I’ve been agnostic on the moon landings for a while, most of what I’ve seen about the moonlandings being fake comes from non-credible people. It seems like 9/11, there are rational things to believe about it and many unknowns, but the stuff that is generally promoted is either the craziest shit or ‘debunking’ that even simple research could prove is just propaganda.

How do you determine who is a credible person then? Truth stands on it’s own, it doesn’t require anyone to defend it, so I am certainly not going to defend what I know to be true about the moon landings. All I know is that anybody claiming to be an expert is no more trustworthy than anybody else. Probably less so.
I never said anything about experts. I don’t know much about the moon landings, the film studio thing, the physics involved, etc. That’s why I said I was agnostic. But there are people who are clearly not believable. If someone says it can’t be done because of the Van Allen belts, that may be true, I don’t know. But if that person doesn’t know anything about radiation and is still adamant, then I can’t take them seriously. As an extreme example, a person who believes the earth is flat might be credible when talking about what it takes build something or the history of the Swizerland, but is incredible if that is their proof there was no moon landing.

While I agree that truth and the essence of life lies within us, you cannot deny that the night sky when viewed in an area without much light pollution is among the most awe-inspiring experiences one can have. It was super cool from Ayers Rock and in remote Wyoming.
A must for everyone is to see the Northern lights in the far north of Alaska or Canada. I took people out on tours and everyone was in a blissful state after seeing the sky filled with moving color. It’s something one will never forget. One group I had out we got to see a Kp 9, the strongest. The sky literally exploded with movement and color for about an hour.
Worked 200 miles up the Wiliston Lake in northern BC here. Running a delimber. One night I’ll never forget when the northern lights were so bright that even the lights on the limber couldn’t drown them out.
I stopped and shut the lights down for about 30 minutes to stand outside and watch the show. Never seen reds and light blues before then. Mostly all green. You can even hear them…
