The Nobel Criminals: Ben Bernanke And Two Others Win Nobel Prize In Economics For Crisis Research

Submitted by Steve Z.

Guest Post by 2nd Smartest Guy in the World

When one of the most sociopathic and mendacious economists whose predictive track record was around 0% is awarded the Nobel Prize on the eve of the Greatest Financial Crisis that he was instrumental in creating with his profligate QE money printing, you know we have finally reached peak Ponzi.

by Tyler Durden

The Nobel Memorial Prize in Economic Sciences was awarded to former Federal Reserve Chair Ben Bernanke and two others for their research in the 1980s on banks and financial crises.

Bernanke served as chairman of the Fed between 2006-14 and famously unleashed a tidal wave of debt monetization by the central bank during the GFC over a decade ago to save the so-called ‘too big to fail’ banks. At the time, the Fed’s balance sheet was approaching $2.5 trillion. Multiple rounds of money printing later and a massive expansion during the Covid crisis, the balance sheet stands at around $9 trillion today.

Democrat Senate Disaster Ahead

Guest Post by Kurt Schlichter

Democrat Senate Disaster Ahead

The recent Arizona Senate debate between Republican Blake Masters, Democrat Mark Kelly, and that Libertarian who was eerily focused on the age of consent laws being way too high, taught us two important things besides that you should never let a Libertarian babysit your tween. First, Mark Kelly is going to get crushed, and second, he’s short, and after Blake beats him in November, he should find something else to do with his life, like toiling for mithril in the mines of Moria or maybe bearing a ring to Mordor.

West has now set a course on total terrorist warfare

Via The Saker

First, I want to post a video I found on Twitter (original here) which shows what kind of explosion took place on the Crimean bridge.

From what I have read, a truck filled with explosives blew up, killing three people in a car nearby, and then the flames took over a train also crossing the bridge.  That train was full of fuel.  It is only thanks to the amazing speed at which the bridge crews reacted that the damage was limited to only 9 wagons and, therefore, to a much shorter segment of the rail tracks.

Looking at the video, one would imagine that the bridge is in ruins.  In fact, traffic was reestablished on both rail tracks and the road in less than 24 hours (with the exception of heavy trucks).  In other words, this is yet another case of “it is humiliating, but not dangerous” (обидно но не опасно).

But that is an increasingly mistaken notion: this time is also VERY dangerous.

Massive wave of missile attacks reported across Ukraine

President Zelensky confirmed that multiple cities across the nation were targeted by Russian strikes

Massive wave of missile attacks reported across Ukraine

Multiple missile strikes targeted Ukrainian cities all across the country on Monday morning, according to local officials and media, which attributed the attacks to Russia. This comes two days after a bomb damaged the strategic Crimean Bridge – which Moscow called a Ukrainian terrorist attack.

The office of Valery Zaluzhny, the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian armed forces, reported they had detected at least 75 missiles and claimed they had intercepted 41.

President Vladimir Zelensky confirmed the attacks throughout the country in a video address, saying numerous parts of Ukraine had come under fire, and claimed that Russia was targeting the energy infrastructure. “They want panic and chaos,” he said.

Why Zelensky’s World War III Gambit Will Fail

Authored by Jordan Schachtel via ‘The Dossier’ Substack,

None of the major parties involved in this conflict want nuclear armageddon via WWIII.

A continually unhinged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has spent the past year trying to draw NATO powers into direct conflict with Russia, and he has yet to achieve success, despite many attempts to do so. While the rhetoric between D.C., Brussels, and Moscow has certainly become more fiery, the kinetic pieces on the geopolitical chessboard have remained steadily in place, because the major parties to the conflict do not want to witness World War III breaking out.

On Thursday, Zelensky ramped up the rhetoric even further, calling on NATO forces to bomb Russia and try to eliminate their nuclear arsenal.

Florida tells young men to avoid mRNA Covid shots

Guest Post by Alex Berenson

State data show that the risk of cardiac death doubles after vaccination for men under 40

Florida’s Surgeon General, Dr. Joseph Ladopo, yesterday warned men aged 18-39 not to take Covid vaccines.

The warning is based on an analysis of data from inside Florida showing a sharply higher risk of cardiac death in young men in the 28 days following the shots. Men under 40 had a 84 percent increased risk of death following vaccination with an mRNA shot.

The analysis also found that people who received non-mRNA vaccinations – generally meaning the Johnson & Johnson DNA/AAV vaccine – had a lower risk of cardiac death after the shots. Only the mRNA jabs were associated with more cardiac deaths.

Clinical psychologist Cindy Eaton say censorship is bad, but then it is good

Guest Post by Steve Kirsch

I asked her about AB 2098, the California bill regulating speech between doctors and their patients about COVID-19. Whether Cindy is for or against it depends on how you describe it.

Executive summary

This video is just 3 minutes long and it’s really amazing. In the video, clinical psychologist Cindy Eaton says doctors shouldn’t be restricted following the medical consensus when talking to patients.

A mere 15 minutes after the interview, Cindy comes back and DEMANDS that I IMMEDIATELY delete the interview because the NY Times article referred to the bill as censoring medical misinformation. She’s in favor of such censorship!

The problem of course is that the bill defines medical misinformation as disagreeing with the medical consensus.

What this shows is that when the bill is described using only the bill’s DEFINITION of the term “misinformation,” she’s strongly opposed. When it is described by the term “misinformation,” she’s strongly in favor of the bill.

She stood around me for more than 30 minutes telling everyone not to talk to me. She said she’d leave when I deleted the video. When that didn’t work, she called the cops on me to try to intimidate me to delete the video. That failed too.

Here’s the video that Cindy doesn’t want anyone to see.

Russia v USA

Guest Post by Martin Armstrong

Reports are coming in from a protest in Moscow against the United States after the Ukrainian attack upon the Crimea Bridge Saturday. Russians are calling for nuking Washington DC. No matter what country you go to, there is always going to be a pro-government and an anti-government position.

The Ukrainian propaganda keeps claiming that some sort of revolution against Putin and he has ordered the arrest of military officers. But there are no independent sources that verify anything being put out by Ukraine, which tends to be fake news on so many levels.

Welfare and Feminism Destroyed the American Family

Welfare and Feminism Destroyed the American Family: Huffington

Herland Report: Welfare and Feminism Destroyed the American Family: Stephen Baskerville, a writer I have followed for many years, explains in the June 2021 issue of Chronicles that it is the US welfare system constructed by the “Great Society” programs, not racism, that explains the plight of many black Americans.

Democrat US Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan warned at the time that the welfare system Democrats were putting in place would destroy the black family.

THIS DAY IN HISTORY – Whitesnake’s “Here I Go Again” tops the charts – 1987

Via History.com

On October 10, 1987, the song “Here I Go Again” by English hard-rock group Whitesnake tops the Billboard pop singles chart in the United States. Today, what most people remember about the song is its saucy video: The actress Tawny Kitaen spends a great deal of it in a white negligee, writhing and cartwheeling across the hoods of two Jaguars parked next to one another. It is one of the most iconic music videos of the 1980s, and it features two of the most famous cars in pop-culture history. The Pandemic Response Unleashed Two Kinds of Nationalism

Guest Post by Jeffrey A. Tucker

Sunetra Gupta became my whisperer early in the pandemic due to her comprehensive understanding of the relationship between society and infectious disease. When I met her in October 2020, and in several interviews since, she highlighted an overlooked feature of the pandemic response: its nationalism.

Every government pretended as if its pandemic response would be juridically efficacious based on borders. Since when have viruses paid any attention to lines on a map? The whole thing is ridiculous but it had to be this way the minute that states decided that they were going to set out to control the pathogen by means of political force. Governments only have juridical control within their borders, while viruses don’t care.

How to earn 9.62% during stagflation

Guest Post by Simon Black

It all started innocently enough.

It was July 2, 1997, and the Prime Minister of Thailand had just announced that their currency– the Thai baht– would no longer be pegged to the US dollar.

Big deal, right? It doesn’t seem like a boring press conference about an emerging market currency in Southeast Asia would even be noticed by too many people, let alone ruffle any feathers.
