What do you expect? According to Joseph Biden, as conveyed through the teleprompter, we are already in the clear:
“No,” Biden said when asked by CNN’s Jake Tapper if Americans should prepare for a recession.
“It hadn’t happened yet,” the president added later. “I don’t think there will be a recession. If it is, it’ll be a very slight recession. That is, we’ll move down slightly.”
No, not even close. The virulent inflation that has been unleashed on the world by the central banks and the Washington war machine is now so deeply embedded that it will require what President Eisenhower’s Treasury Secretary back in the day called “a hair-curling recession” to bring it to heel.
Today’s PPI report for September should remove any cause for doubt. That is to say, the Fed has raised interest rate by 300 basis points in the last six months, yet the upstream inflationary pressures embodied in the producer price index have not even budged.

The Department of Homeland Security has been working to influence big tech platforms. This became originally evident when the Biden administration launched the ill-fated Disinformation Governance Board early in 2022, but has been a focus of their efforts even beyond that now-defunct unit, and before.
Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt filed a lawsuit that revealed via appended meeting minutes that former Microsoft executive Matt Masterson, who was formerly an official with DHS, told a DHS director in February 2022 that “Platforms have got to get comfortable with gov’t. It’s really interesting how hesitant they remain.” This according to The Intercept.

Much of the Ukrainian capital of Kiev is without electricity or water, after the latest round of major Russian airstrikes on Monday. The Russian military announced ‘successful’ strikes on multiple of the country’s vital infrastructure facilities.
“The Russian Armed Forces continued to launch strikes with high-precision long-range air and sea-based weapons against Ukrainian military and energy facilities,” the Defense Ministry said. “The goals of the strikes were successful. All assigned objects were hit.” Meanwhile, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal confirmed direct hits on 18 sites – most of which were connected to the nation’s energy supply. These ramped up attacks have created a growing sense of panic with temperatures plunging and winter approaching.

During an address on Oct. 27, Biden falsely claimed that gas prices were far higher when he took office than now.
“The most common price of gas in America is $3.39, down from over $5 when I took office,” Biden said.
Not only is the national average for gas currently hovering around $3.76 per gallon, not $3.39, but gas was only around $2.39 per gallon when Biden assumed office.

Many experts expect public anger over inflation to enable Republicans to regain a majority in the US House of Representatives and maybe the Senate in next week’s midterm elections. However, even if every close Senate race broke in Republicans’ favor, and the new Republican majority was determined to pass a pro-liberty agenda, there still would not be the votes to override President Biden’s vetoes, or Chuck Schumer’s filibusters. Pro-liberty legislation cutting spending, or protecting our First, Second, and Fifth Amendment rights, or shutting down the Department of Education, or auditing the Federal Reserve, would not become law.
