You have already taken a side on Israel-Palestine. You have either consciously chosen to side with the people who are being continually massacred by Israel, or you have consciously chosen to side with Israel, or you have sided with Israel by being “neutral”, or you have sided with Israel by being indifferent.
As Desmond Tutu said, “If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse, and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality.”

NB: This is a follow up to a previous article which I felt compelled to submit because I had left out some really popular and/or active commentators. Once again, I apologize in advance if I have yet still missed out popular posters but time, age, c’est la vie … If you comment suggestions I will endeavor to submit them in future.
Background: I asked the drawing engine of ChatGPT, named DALL-E, to create a picture of popular TBP commentators based only on their monikers. The requests to DALL-E were phrased very simply and took the format of “Draw a picture of –moniker-“. In some cases I needed to add a qualifier such as “… as a man” or “… as a woman” otherwise the resulting images would not be meaningful. The text descriptions of the images are also from DALL-E itself which it displays after creating the image.
Once again, how ChatGPT comes up with these images from such a simple input is quite interesting and often amusing. Enjoy, after all, if we can’t laugh at you, who can we laugh at??
The pictures are in alphabetical order except TMWNN who deserves to be listed first since without him there, there’s no you here.
TMWNN – An image inspired by ‘The Man With No Name,’ capturing the essence of the iconic Western gunslinger against a backdrop of the desolate, sun-bleached desert.

This post is an update of the original “Noobe’s Guide” written by Ghost and El Coyote (EC) back in Feb 2020 – A Noobe’s Guide to the TPB Lexicon. An update was requested by Ghost and so here is a new version with some stuff removed, some added, something old and something new … or however the saying goes.
The original post was dedicated to some lumberjack guy (see Stucky) but I think the revised post should be dedicated to all the SFM on TBP. Plus, special mention of Ghost and EC without whom the original article would not have come to be.
A small change to the original article; these days it’s often not spelt as “noobe” with an “e” at the end but rather just as “noob” which rhymes with “boob”, but I digress. This is to differentiate it with a similar noun, “newb”, which also rhymes with “boob”, but I digress again.
The difference? A newb are those who are new to some task and are very beginner at it but they are willing to learn. A noob, on the other hand, often spelt with double zero as in “n00b” to add extra insult and reflect their level of skillz, know little and have no will to learn any more. They make up a unique sub-species of their own, “sub” being the operative word. It is the latter which is deserving of ridicule and mockery. Don’t be a n00b.
And … here … we … go …

Because it is fleeting and one of the most rare things.
We save wisdom because of the life lived to produce it should not be lost in time.

I picked 30 monikers in total (there is only so much time in a day for fun and games) so I apologize if I missed you. I’ve tried to remember the big dogs. The images are more or less in alphabetical order except for those commentators who I think deserve a more prominent place out of respect to their enormous contributions in the comments sections and/or their long-time involvement with TBP. Apologies again if I missed someone. The results are, I think, quite interesting and fun but if you don’t like your picture, you can make your own on Chat GPT.

The notable – but largely unacknowledged in the mainstream – feature of the recent (failing) attempt to revive the pre-1972 moon landing project is the way in which modern rockets have proved susceptible to all of the problems which beset the Saturn V in the 1960s. Nor is this a mere technicality. The reason that the Apollo programme was brought to a premature end in December 1972 was that it had run into an invisible economic limit. To people – including most economists – who have learned to think of the economy as a purely financial system, this sounds mean. We can always find the money to fight wars and bail out banks, so why shouldn’t we divert money into a scientific endeavour which might (it won’t) act as a launch pad for humanity’s journey to the stars?

1. That Israel had no idea what Hamas was up to prior to October 7, but ever since October 7 has known about every hospital, mosque, school, refugee camp and water tower that Hamas is hiding in.
2. That the blame for all of the deaths caused by Israeli weapons launched by Israel rests solely on Hamas.
3. That Hamas is using “human shields” — meaning Hamas bases are hidden amidst civilian populations — yet Israel is managing to kill thousands of civilians without doing any meaningful damage to Hamas.

Below is the scanned images of the 4 page resignation letter of Craig Mokhiber, Director of the New York Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights. He is one of the world’s leading international lawyers.
The key (for me) paragraph is the last one on the first page. It reads:
“This is a text-book case of genocide. The European, ethno-nationalist, settler colonial project in Palestine has entered its final phase, toward the expedited destruction of the last remnants of indigenous Palestinian life in Palestine. What’s more, the governments of the United States, the United Kingdom, and much of Europe, are wholly complicit in the horrific assault. Not only are these governments refusing to meet their treaty obligations “to ensure respect” for the Geneva Conventions, but they are in fact actively arming the assault, providing economic and intelligence support, and giving political and diplomatic cover for Israel’s atrocities”
