Credit card debt versus the personal savings rate. Looks promising. I don’t think it portends anything bad.

Class act right there. Timeless.

Reminds Auntie of quite the number of politicians in Congress: the Undead.

In a matter of speaking, vampires are real … and so are bank runs.

The trends are not sustainable; consumers will run out of savings and then run out of credit; the economy will run out of money like an aircraft running out of gas; it will stall like an aircraft suddenly stalling…

Daam. This year the misses and I decided to lock down and spend little to nothing. We did no traveling, no improvements or mods to the house, and bought no new gadgets. We haven’t used any credit cards either. I am almost to the point of being able to pay the house off in one lump sum. This is a direct result of buckling down and saving, something most Americans fail to do. I have only owned my property going on 8 years, with a 20 year mortgage. Always planned to have it paid off within 10 years and it is looking like it will be much less than that. We will be popping a bottle of some good booze when that day comes. Hopefully within 6 months barring no emergencies or expenses.

Have an old friend who decided to go to Eugene his sophomore year and was an extra in the street mob scene. Frosh year in Boulder. Father tired of his crap, paid Dook $25K to accept him, despite a 2.5 GPA. They did.

Oh, he did prep school at Choate and made 1500+ on his SAT.

It reminds me of an errant golf shot. I was aiming for a shank and instead hit a duck hook.

Rational behavior, if you have no savings. Buy as much as possible on credit, then default. Works for USG.

I’ve been increasing peoples credit cards at work for the last two months for sales. You have a 3500.00 limit with no balance but the sale is 15K, let me help you, a little info and a couple key strokes later( 60 secs) and BOOM, another sale, chaching!!!

I’ve been hustling big time , sending out credit offers 10 times a day, calls, emails and hand delivery hoping something sticks. I think I had my best month( top 5 percent) I’ll know tomorrow.

FYI, I don’t have any credit cards, I think they are pure evil, but I do need to eat.
