That is not an entirely race thing. Some time back, I met up with some childhood friends I had not seen in 35+years. They are of white and of German ancestry, raised in a good neigbourhood and school.
We spent a couple of days talking and I started to realize that they were not very bright. At one point I mentioned working things through (opposing my arguments) in my head so I had some understanding of the possible views of others before engaging with them.
A comment was made that “I hope you don’t have voices in your head or listen to them”. I was gobsmacked. I explained that yes, I do have voices in my head and that they allow me to work things out internally by arguing both sides of a point.
They said I must be crazy because ‘normal’ people don’t have voices in their heads. Internally, it clicked. The truly stupid have no inner monologue or ability to self-discuss internally. The first time they critically think about something is as the words leave their mouth, if even then.
The interesting thing was these were the “best and brightest” in school. I recognize now that it was because of their ability to take in “the answer” and rote repeat it without ever contemplating it or analyzing it.
And yes. They are fully jabbed and boosted and think anyone who isn’t is insane. Because that is what they were told was the thing to do. I am absolutely sure that they in no way questioned if it was the right thing to do or spent even a second researching if it was a good idea.
And “why we are fucked”? They are both grade school teachers.
