New Year’s Resolutions 2023

Guest Post by Eric Peters

It is customary to make resolutions for the coming new year. Usually, these are promises made to oneself to do something one regrets not having done yet – or not doing something (again) one regrets having done.

Let’s do some of that.

Resolved – I will never again bow to pressure to wear a “mask” or do any other thing contrary to my will that is silly or degrading or dangerous – just because someone else told me to do it. Or because they expect me to do it. I will no longer permit the irrational beliefs of others to control my actions out of misguided courtesy or the desire to avoid affronted feelings.

Resolved – I will question authority.  I will not just obey without having received a sound answer as to why I ought to.

Resolved – I will become more independent, so as to be less dependent on centralized systems that can be used to coerce me to submit to things I would otherwise refuse to submit to, such as wearing a “mask” or taking a “vaccine” I do not wish to take for the sake of keeping a job I am desperate to keep. Reduce what you spend – so that you do not have to earn as much. Save more, so that you have a financial reserve to fall back on in the event it becomes necessary to choose between your self-respect and keeping your job.

Resolved – I will take better care of myself, so as to avoid needing to be cared for. Prudence rather than vanity is the better reason for getting in shape and eating better.

Resolved – I will try harder to live and let live.

These seem like pretty good places to start a new year that will – hopefully – turn out to be a far better year than the last three years.

This is also probably a good time to thank all of you for being here this year – and all the years prior. For your support. For your thoughts. For being my comrades-in-arms. I get up each day to do what I do because I know we are all in this together, the proper usage of that phrase.

Some good things are coming all of our way. And look for some new (and hopefully, good) things coming here as well.

Happy New Year to all!

-Eric

Promises, promises. Not likely as the stakes will be higher on the next go around. But, good luck anyway.

You made $20 and $18 consistently, Jen? Good for you. The differently-abled deserve a chance, too.

I would only add…. “And live and let die.”
Time’s up for feeling morally obligated to change anyone’s mind for their benefit.
We tried.

The best thing we can do for all humanity and ourselves is to begin to look and act forward ONLY – turn our backs on their mind manipulations through media and find the courage to break our own addiction to looking at their headlines…. or it’s still falling into the traps the beasts are setting for you that subtly feed them your cooperation.

My New Years resolutions are as follows.

1)
2)
3)

You may notice and assume they are blank. I assure you they are not.

Mine are merely adjustable and I can add infinitum to this list when need arises.
I never fail on my resolutions although I must admit some will get the necessary adjustments, as the end goal may have been made in haste or under the influence.

Setting reasonable goals is the way to succeed but must be tempered first by musing over a neat whiskey and a little time, so as to not make brash commitments towards failures.

Happy New Year to all TBP family and visitors cya next year

“tempered first by musing over a neat whiskey and a little time, so as to not make brash commitments towards failures.”

1) Faulty logic, IMHO

Resolved:
When any government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it . . .

Any cash one may have can be used as toilet paper.

I suppose should CBDC become the “norm” one will either do it or give up this life on earth fighting it.

Resolution to kick every marxist progtard I meet in the nutz. Of course if they are male progtards they won’t have any nutz. So if there is any doubt about true gender, I will instruct my dog to rag-doll them with a tight grip on the area where the nutz would normally reside on a person of male gender. And so as to not discriminate, the entire leftist alphabet of imaginary genders will be eligible to receive the same therapeutic treatment. I suppose the dog could also do on-the-spot gender reassignments for those males claiming to be females but still sporting male genitalia, but then there’s the risk of my dog getting sick from tasting putrid meat … , so I’m not sure about that …. , we’ll see how it goes ….

wolverines got jobbed by the zebras, imho.
1st half receiver’s ass & the ball crossed the goal line…not so, says ref
subsequent play results in a fumble that tcu recovered. 7 lost points.

then at the end, on the last drive, the defensive back could have and should have been flagged for targeting. when reviewed and dismissed,
that was all she wrote.
great game to appreciate offense, but
both teams get a D or F grade for failing to stop the other team’s O.

All that said, the high road says Congrats to TCU.
And if it’s any consolation, the buckeyes lost, too.
Not good for the BIG10, but ya can’t win ’em all, eh?

Happy New Year!

I am getting off the internet doom machine. I feel better already. The internet is for email, banking, paying bills and looking at the weather forecast.
Live long and prosper, y’all!
