Are Americans Trying To Eat Healthy?

Via ZeroHedge

Around half of Americans are healthy eaters, at least according to their own testimonies.

As Katharina Buchholz reports, according to Statista Consumer Insights, 50 percent of Americans claim to actively try to eat healthy.

The attitude is most prevalent among Baby Boomers at 58 percent agreeing, but not much lower among Gen Z, where 44 percent said they were pursuing the aim.

At the same time, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found out that more than 36 percent of Americans are consuming fast food regularly, to the extend that on any given day, a third of Americans is eating from fast food restaurants.

In a separate survey by the Cleveland Clinic, 46 percent of U.S. adults said a barrier to eating healthy foods was their price. Almost a quarter of Americans stated that they had to little time to cook and prepare healthy foods, while a high 20 percent said they didn’t know how to cook healthy foods.

Obesity USA starts her day with a 2000 calorie, $8 Starbucks drink- loaded with HFCS laden chocolates “macchiatos”, caramels, cream, whipped cream or plain old dumps of sugar. Let’s not forget to grab a tasty pastry behind the glass- displayed like a jewelry case with lighting beaming on that scrumptious, future coronary disease.

Or pop in to 7/11 if you prefer and grab a 32 oz Big Gulp- with the HFCS guaranteed to start liver dysfunction, insulin resistance and give your A1C a nice kick in the pants to get up and moving. Not as glamorous as the Starbucks case but there is 24 hour Pizza under the heat lamps, greasy empanadas and/or taquitos for our lumpy latino friends, or just get a half dozen HFCS smothered “barbeque” wings. Not in the savory mood? Grab a bag of cholesterol…oops I mean doritos/chips/donuts, or a quick trip to the twinkie/cupcake/pastry row for a quick 800 calorie packet of scrumptious non-nutrition.

You better hurry though, the line of folks with arms laden with these treats is 10 people long and the cashiers can’t check them out fast enough! Utoh, a work truck of 6 obese laborers just walked in and here comes Grandma Gigantor and her 3 pugsly look-alikes headed out for the candy and soft drinks.

On a seriousnote, this scene is actually carried out millions of times by millions of people all over this country– all day, every day. Even at midnight someone is pouring bagged chili and processed orange cheesish goop onto a shriveled hot dog or three to quench their addiction to the additives and chemicals they intentionally put in this non-food.

Lol

How are we to define ‘eating healthy’?

Much of the stuff people are consuming towards that end I would likely consider non-food or counterfeit food (I use the term factory food for the normies).

A lot of young people have IBS. They don’t understand why this has happened. They claim they eat as healthy as they can. Upon further inspection, they eat some of the worst food around. I have a friend I was talking to about this as she has serious, serious problems. She is having a hard time with finding a Dr. So I have suggested some things.

She eats cereal every morning as it is relatively cheap. As people know Glyphosate is in all grains these days. It punches holes through the epithelium and these toxins inflame the tissue. The hole that was punched by the Glyphosate also allows these toxins to directly enter the bloodstream. She complains of feeling like crap during the day. Some people can handle Glyphosate better than others but for others they claim they have celiac disease, I say they have a Glyphosate intolerance. Then for lunch she orders Skip the dishes, and the nutrition. I ask I thought you were on a tight budget??? “I am, but I don’t have time to make lunch.” So then a meal of Fast Food full of god knows what but lets say Subway Grilled Chicken. This is only 40% chicken protein, the other is soy proteins. Most US Soybeans are Roundup Ready Soybeans. A product Genetically Engineered to produce a protein to make the plant resistant to spraying more Glyphosate. This protein inside the plant is a toxin too. After surviving to dinner my friend has Kraft dinner. Which again contains Glyphosate.

Aside from the gluttonous exercise avoiding population. Most people seem to be having a hard time digesting GMO Round up Ready Toxins, sprayed with Round Up Glyphosate. Monsanto (Bayer) chemicals is what is for dinner…..

What you say is true.

Even Mexico was going to ban glyphosate and gmos but was pressured by US to hold off.
A very interesting article.

Most of the world has but guess who:

Glyphosate Restrictions – Asia, India, Russia

There is a documentary narrated by Woody Harrelson (he is really getting around) called Kiss The Ground that is pretty good other than the normal climate change bit. It is about regenerative farming.

Have these people never heard of a GYRO? Fresh grilled chicken over salad made without bullshit. Gyros are cheap. Greek yogurt is a fast easy breakfast. 12grs of Protein for 80 calories. Have a hard boiled egg on the side. You can buy them pre-made. There’s also a thing called organic cereal. Pay the extra dollar.

Yes. OLD doctor, fit as a fiddle at seventy.

Ingredients should be actual whole food items, not words on a label. Here’s grass-fed, free-range critter, here’s broccoli, here’s onions, here’s mushrooms, here’s grass-fed butter, here’s pink Himalayan mineral salt.

Ready, aim, cook.

Make money off the coming epidemic of Diabetes.
Buy dips and go long, Eli Lily, Novo Nordisk, Merck, Januvia, Sanofi, Lantus…etc.
Many of these corporations will most likely merge in the future.
Any manufacturers of:
Alpha-glucosidase inhibitors
Biguanides
Bile Acid Sequestrants
Dopamine-2 Agonists
DPP-4 inhibitors
Meglitinides
SGLT2 Inhibitors
Sulfonylureas
TZDs
I don’t make the rules, I just play by them. (Not a financial advisor, risk involved)

Fast food should be treated like Candy. Once in a while, not all the time. Avoidance of supermarket processed food is just as important. If it was created by God it’s healthy, if it was created by a corporation it’s not.
